* I first wrote no, but that's because I initially didn't consider it as part of the trigger assembly. I think of it as an ancillary or supporting piece.
It's an integral part of the trigger assembly. Remove it and see how well the trigger works.

Which pistol is this where you can set the safety with the hammer down.

Ben Stoeger said in his last book that he shoots every single target with target focus and a set of fuzzy sights. That's the sight picture I naturally have due to presbyopia.
When I read that, I decided to keep shooting production and get better at shooting with the same type of focus.

The Navy's nuclear program and it's submarine training/force are two completely different and separate things.
I never served on a sub. But we do have like a dozen nuclear carriers.
You may just want to stop now.

my bad... probably got it confused with the boron rods used here in the States.
The boron rods are the control rods. Chernobyl had those too. And they aren't shielding either.
No offense but working in a nuke plant and understanding reactor physics and reactor control are two completely different things.

IDPA speedloader location rules are retarded. The rule should be simple: lift up arms straight out to the sides. If your stuff can be seen either move it or get a different cover garment.

Chernobyl was supposed to use graphite (rods) to block or shield the the nuclear "fuel's" radiation. Also, as I understand it, the Russians were using Chernobyl and whatever other nuke plants of that design to also produce the weapons grade material for their nuclear missiles.
That's not what graphite did in the Chernobyl reactor. It was a moderator and it made the core behave counter intuitively during some regions of control rod insertion.
As far as it being used to produce weapon grade material I don't know and won't speculate.

Oh cool. You probably understand the nuclear aspect more than me. I'm a chem plant operator.
I took some reading to understand the accident as the Chernobyl reactor operates quite differently to the pressurized water reactors that the Navy and much of the industry use.

What country do you live in?
Just from his name I'm going to guess:
- Sweden
- Denmark
- Norway
- Netherlands
In that order

That was a great docudrama. Working in the industry, I have a big appreciation for how they conveyed the events.
I'll have to watch it then. I used to be a Navy nuke.

Tell me how you can shoot yourself if you're pointing at the berm already
I have a better idea. I'll tell you how the ignore function works after I use it on you.

Explain why
It's been explained to you why already. Evidently you like the idea so rock on, at least until you DQ or God forbid shoot someone else by mistake.
But just in case you need a reminder this is where it easily leads:

CDI Torque. You can grab them on Amazon. It's a Snap-On Industrial brand (along with others, like Williams, Bahco, etc.). Good quality without the huge price tag of the Snap-On name. I have like 3 or 4 of them. Originally bought them for automotive stuff, but use them for guns too.
+1
It's what we use at work.

There are ways to use visual starts that are perfectly fine. One example I participated in was a flashing light that signified an emergency in the nuke plant.

I don't think anyone has ever said "don't change anything about your gun". I certainly have modified mine slightly and said so before.
The point is that training (be it on shooting skills, strength, or physical speed) pays off far more than most of the gimmicks people spend money on.

Grip strength does wonders for that DA trigger press without needing to get it down to 5 lbs or so.

Can you tell me the name of that book? I'd like to read it.
Breakthrough Marksmanship

The wording of how to shoot it and the fact that instructions are spread over two pages is just dumb.
I posted already a much clearer, condensed language in a post above and took all of 5 min of thought to put it together.

in a 10 round state unfortunately. but yes i do notice the past tense
Fair point. Still, all the ergonomic advantages of CZ pistols remain in play.

I'm all for having plenty of movement/physical challenges in a stage. We've put on a more IPSC style match as our last match of the year the last 2 years. More movement between positions, low ports, prone, etc.
I'm all for that.
Pointless running? Not so much.

I think a CZ P-09 or P-10F would work better for you. I have med size hands (glove size 8 ) and the P-09 with the large backstrap indexes perfectly. Both of those guns come with S, M, and L backstraps. Both have more ergonomic grips than any Glock. The magazines are interchangeable between them and both hold 18 rounds without extended floorplates. The P-10F comes in an Optics Ready version and the P-09 can be easily milled to take a reflex sight by either Cajun Gun Works or CZ Custom.
I've had a Glock 17. Notice the past tense.

But the existing Stage Procedure is clear you only shoot one side of the barricade first and the other side last.
Absolutely not. Right from the Written Stage Briefing (emphasis added):
QuoteYou may shoot around the sides of the barricade and through the port in any order.
I'll shoot it port, left, right; or left, right, port, or right, port, left, or any other possible combination if I want to and be good to go.
Is it worth buying a L10 gun?
