And thanks everyone for your replys I'm going to print them out so I can refer to them in practice. And moving stuff is the one thing I haven't been able to practice on. As Chris can attest to. Sounds like I know what I'll be building and practicing on. Moving Stuff. Lots of bulding supplies at the warehouse

WOW I really did see all that stuff in the video on the other post. Which leads me to believe I'm not seeing what I need to see which is my sights on the target. I need to be able to see my sights as the gorila in the video which I obviously didn't do while shooting the stage in question. On that stage I saw everything BUT what I needed to see. The sights... I allowed all the visual inputs of the stage to take my focus off what we always need to see. Our Sights. This apparently is what I need to learn better how to do. I'm sure this has happened to me in the past and I just never noticed it like this. I know I'm learning more and shooting better than I have in the past. So when you finally notice things like this you look for help to prevent it from happening again.

Everytime I see things like this I think of my grandmother and the advancements she saw. She went from horse and buggy to seeing men land on the moon. Probably the 100 years of our history with the greatest amount advancements to date.

Okay so here's the deal. There I am at Area 8 shooting my best match to date. And I get to the bed stage (stage 1 ). Where all of the great movers activators and getting out of bed captured all my attention and focus. Thus causing me to focus on all the stuff going on and just kinda pointing the gun out there and pulling the trigger. My time was good but the results wern't 6 misses WOW. I guess what I need help with is how and what can I do in practice to prevent this in the future ? This stage got me so bad that it got me on the next stage also ( stage 2 ) unloaded table start. Thought I shook it off. BEEP, turn, grab gun, pull mag off belt, insert mag, rack slide, start to shoot ,6 shots click wtf. I'm usually the most anal person you ever met about having all my mags full even if I'm not going to use them. (At match = full mags) And all the rest of them were except the one I pulled off my belt. Stage 1 had me so flustered I forgot to load up. Again any suggestions to help me prevent this in the future would be helpfull.

My problem is I'm selfemployed. And run a van for business. If the 4.00/ gal stuff doesn't run me out of business. Me having to put my prices up to compensate will. Now don't get me wrong I'm all for free enterprise. I've been driving for approx. 30 years and there's been a YES 1400% increase in fuel prices so if we do the math I should be making 80.00 an hour NOT ! So some how we need to get prices under control. I'm trying to do my part the van doesn't move unless I have work. I plan my trips to do more than just one thing while I'm out EX. grocery post office Wal Mart all on the way make one trip instead of three. It is cutting down some but not as much as I'de like. Guess I need to look for othe ways to conserve.

Now I'm no expert. I'll just tell you from my experance I've used both titegroup and vv320 both feel the same to me as far as recoil they both load about the same grains for the same pf in my guns. That being said I have used mostly vv320. Mainly due to vv320 being much cleaner. I load 180 gr zero JHP's 4.7gr of 320 1.150 oal winchester cases and federal primers. The load makes major in both my STI and XD never move a thing on my press. Over the last 3 years I have shot many matches and had them cronoed from Fla. to Tulsa to Wis. to Pa. and everyplace in between haven't failed to make major yet. Always crono between 169 and 171 very stable load and a joy to shoot. I hope that helped you out a bit.

I saw the 18 passes and the gorila. I didn't see what he did till the second look. I must be becoming more visualy aware 3 years ago before I started in this sport I probably wouldn't have seen the ball lol .

Well it's official B class as of May 14th. Not all the scores are there so I just squeaked in. Thanks for all your replys. More to come maby I'll start a online range diary to become more accountable and move myself to A Thanks again.

It depends what division you are shooting in. You should try and plan your reloads into your stage breakdown. Reload while moving from one position to another (standing reloads waste time). Simple example for production and L-10 32 round stage , 1st position 3 targets move reload, 2nd position 4 targets move reload, 3rd position 4 targets move reload, 4th and 5th position have a total of 5 targets so you finnish up on them with a full gun. Of course limited and open reloads would be in different places in the course of fire. I hope this is what you were looking for.

I finnally made it to B class limited should be posted around 62+ % on the next USPSA update. Dryfire and practice does make a difference. Now I really need to buckle down.

I've been to the open once and A6 twice. While Frank puts on a great match A6 has to be my favorite. It has something for everyone, the people, COF's. the range and the area are just great. I think you'll love it if you decide to make it next year. Look me up if you come I'll be going back

I've heard that Glocks and XD's don't much like long loads. (factory 1.125) so I load mine from 1.130 to 1.140 and they seen to work fine> Just my 2 cents

I've got an XD 40 and I've used it for production. L 10 and limited with the arridondo base pads. I feel the 40 shoots softer when downloaded for production. ( 180 gr zero JHP 3.7gr vv 320 at 1.130 oal 130pf out of mine) . I got mine from Rich at Canyon Creek f/o front bomar rear trigger job tungston guid rod nice shooting gun. I shoot an STI edge now and I found the transition from one gun to another slight due to having similar grip angles. I shot the XD for about 2 1/2 years and put somewhere between 15000 and 20000 rounds through it with hardly any problems. I still have it saved back for my daughter who is showing some intrest in shooting with me. All in all it's been a good gun for me and I don't think you could go wrong

I've got a Tom Tom one bought it at Radio shack around Christmas for 148 and some change. I run a service type business and so far it's gotten me everywhere I've needed to go. Also been to Fla. and back with it showed gas stations and resturants just fine. Showes you your path and tells you where to turn. Used it almost every day for 5 months and no problems so far. Hope the review helps.
