Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I'm very sorry Chris. Prayers to your mom.
  2. I think it is personal prefferance. I shoot .40 in production and limited 180gr bullet vv320 powder 1.150 oal same round different powder charge. I think the .40 minor load shoots softer than 9mm. I also think heavy bullet knocks down steel better. I only shoot pistol so my press stays set for my round only have to change the powder charge. just my.02
  3. They went over this indepth on Rush the other day. How the counting goes. As they see it. Centurys starts at 01 and decades start at 00. I think it was either tues or wed just this past week
  4. Let me qualify this first. If it hadden't been for Bill and his chalenging stages I probably would have not stayed with this sport. I am a 52 year old (fat) guy who loves this sport and it's chalenges. Been shooting for just 4 years and been to tons of matches. I didn't know you could complain about stage design. I just figure you look it over and get through it to the best of your ability. No matter who you are. Thats why we have classes. I'm a B class shooter and I get through the stages just as well as the 20 year old B class shooters. The stages present a problem for you to solve. Solve it and get to shooting. It's as simple as that. Some majors I've been to have been dissipointing lots of short courses and stand and shoots with few field courses (time constraints). Didn't feel I got my moneys worth. Now give me a major with 10 32 round chalenging field courses I'de be the first to sign up. to Bill
  5. okay I've been money challenged for most of the year. Got a bit of extra money this week. Can I still get into the Ohio state match ?
  6. the sad thing is she's not the only one
  7. GOOD JOB !!!! KEEP IT UP !!!!! I smoked for 26 years and I just decided on a Wednesday that I wasn't going to be smoking by the next Wednesday and that is what I did. It's been 12 years now and every once in a while I still get the urge to have one. Just resist the urges and you'll be better off. GOOD !!!! JOB !!!! KEEP IT UP !!!!
  8. 2005 was the year and 48 was the age. Like others have said I wish I had found this sport 20 years ago.
  9. Good luck Bill. And my prayers will be with you today,
  10. Sorry if I offended anyone. My post was actually about 10 min. ago at 8:00pm est
  11. Not that I'm going to win anything. I'd just like to see the scores. There not posted yet at USPSA. Just wondering ? By the way I had a great time shooting. Great weather. Lots of fun
  12. Ok got the feeder set up in the yard today. "No takers" figured I wouldn't. My neighbors have a number of feeders. How long till I might get some visitors ?
  13. Way cool pictures. I hope to get some like them. Kids just got me a feeder for my birthday. Putting it up in the morning
  14. First off worth is what the individual puts on an item. In my limited experience I started out in the sport with an out of the box XD and I shot ok with it and I soon graduated to a custom XD (everything you could do and still be production legal) made me feel better about my shooting, more confident, better scores, complements and such. That 1000.00 was worth it to me. Tinkered with it and was able to shoot limited with it and got hooked on limited. So I eventually purchased an STI Edge 1700.00 out of the box it was a pleasure to shoot. So that 1700.00 was worth it to me. Over the few months after the purchase I had some isues with the edge ftf, jams and stuff needless to say I was somewhat not pleased. So off to te gunsmith it went (knew it could be fixed my friends guns worked) apprx. 1000.00 parts and labor later. I pick up my gun and go to the range and OMG I would never have never believed that any gun could shoot so smooth and flat. I shot up about 500 rounds that day just lost in the pleasure of shooting a nice gun. This has been about a year now someware between 5000 and 10000 rounds and still a pleasure. The confidence came back, it's fun to shoot matches and I have since upclassed to B. So the extra 1000.00 was worth it to me. Just my experience. To my gunsmith
  15. WOO HOO I'll buy her a pool !!!!!! Hotest 48 year old I've seen in awhile !!
