Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I believe I have an extra power spring that I tried to install long ago but then discovered my gun has the shallow pocket. I'll see if I can find it and install it with a coil cut off to get it to fit. If that doesn't work I'll cut the ejector, might as well try that before buying a replacement sear cage unless it is actually loose.
  2. Sorry, typing fast during lunch and mistyped part of this. Correction: Non-problem gun: 2018, probably a 10# or 11# recoil spring, shorter ejector Problem gun : 2017, probably an 8# or 9# recoil spring, longer ejector
  3. Another pic that better shows the difference in length:
  4. I have 2 9mm stock 2's. One cycles without a problem, while the other occasionally stovepipes. It sometimes will go for awhile, then maybe something like 2-3 in 100 rounds. I replaced the extractor just hoping something simple like that would fix it, and it feels like it has good tension, but didn't stop it. Comparing the two now, the problem one has a significantly longer ejector. Problem gun : 2017, probably an 8# or 9# recoil spring, shorter ejector Non-problem gun: 2018, probably a 10# or 11# recoil spring, longer ejector Same ammo for both, 125gr moly making 140 PF That being the most notable difference between the two, I'm thinking of cutting the ejector shorter. Before I do so, I just wanted to seek others thoughts on this, and see if anyone has noticed anything similar, etc.?
  5. I had that problem, and probably still do actually. I never managed to solve it by modifying the gun or mags, though I tried all the suggestions out there. I discovered that it didn't happen with a certain bullet profile and I didn't want to chew up more of my time on a "true fix" to the gun. Xtreme RNFP were the ones that had no issue. I think any manufacturer bullet with the same profile to that would probably be fine. I had also tried some BBI RNFP that were working too. Hopefully that may work for you too. It was pretty frustrating that nothing seemed to make a difference. Sent from my PH-1 using Tapatalk
  6. Stock hammer. I swapped the Titan hammer from my main gun in while troubleshooting, but it made no difference.
  7. You might also want to make sure there is enough give in your extractor. You mentioned it being stiff. I had used the wolf extractor spring as many people do, but it was way too much and would barely budge, causing some failures to return to battery. I cut a coil or two off and haven't had the problem since.
  8. Solved: even after fitting, the new disconnector still fixed the problem
  9. It is a different plunger spring by the way, but it seems pretty strong, will try that is disco fix doesn't holdup.
  10. I had a t3 disconnector I hadn't tried yet, so I threw that in and it seems to have fixed the problem. Still have to fit it for the reset to work, but I'll post if that changes anything or if it's still good then.
  11. It has the two wing disconnector. It doesn't look like it was modified at all. Also, both sears are one piece.
  12. I bought a used Stock II that ran fine for a long time, but now has started to catch at half cocked when the hammer drops. I think it's only happening on the DA pull, but not 100% sure on that as it doesn't happen frequently. The sear showed some wear, where the hammer hooks contact it, so I replaced it, but it's still happening. Still don't quite understand how the action really works to know what the likely cause would be. Any ideas or suggestions on what the look at, or try?
  13. Wish I'd seen this a little while ago, would have been helpful dailing in on my load faster, as it's almost exactly the same. Guess I'll post it to add to the communal knowledge. 165 bbi moly rnfp 1.135 oal 4.2 gr WST Win SPP Factory eaa stock 2 barrel A little above 810 power factor average, though wider SD. (Waiting on a better scale I just ordered)
