  1. Thanks for the Welcome!

@YellowShooter - I'm still in HK until the end of the month, I live and work in Kennedy Town (too bad I'm leaving when the Metro is finally open here!)

    Very cool!

Well I guess it will be a change comming from contries where its almost imposible to get guns to one where you can walk in walk out with one in matters of hours! (for you maybe days because of the green card)

Let me know if you got any questions!

    a plus.

  2. Hi Everyone,

My name is Frederic, I'm French, 35 and I'm moving back to the US after just over 2 years in Hong Kong for work. I'm a permanent resident (my wife is American) so even though I can't get a CCW I can still legally buy firearms and practice the sport.

Long time lurker, just registered and will start a new thread in the Misc Section!

Wow... another one just like me =)

    Where are you located?

EDIT: Oooops sorry didnt read the tittle LOL

  3. Thanks. I checked it. I can only get 17 rounds in the extended mag.

Check something real quick... Try to use the original follower (even tho CZC said no)

And see if that adds stability for the rounds in the mag

  4. Is there an issue with a mag release?

Beside poking the crap out of me no...

    Actually... Yes.

If I used their extended spring and the new modified follower I can load 24 rounds but sometimes the mag wouldn't drop free and the slide wouldn't always lock back.

If I used the extended spring but with original follower I can load 23 rounds but everything is working properly drops free and slide does lock back!

According to CZC I had too used the new follower in order to get increased rounds...

  5. now when you say "pull on the hammer" do you mean rack the slide or manually pull back the hammer? does it do it the other way?

If hammer is down and safety is on the only way to have the hammer back is with you thumb, can't rack the slide with safety on.
so how is that a problem? in what case with a single action gun will you have a round in the chamber, safety on, and then manually cock the hammer?
When I leave a round in the chamber, decock it manually (isn't it why there is a hole in the hammer?) safety on.

Some time later cock it back manually, safety is still on. Boom gun fire with safety still on.

I am just trying to understand all this gun can do before being comfortable with it.

The senario I outlibe isn't too far fetched.

  6. The factory mag release always dug into my hand as well. A couple times the magazine fell out during a match. Don't tell me I didn't

have the magazine seated, because on each occasion I had shot 4 to 6 rounds after the mag change, and then the magazine fell out. It was getting pressed into the meat of my hand. I removed the mag release button, and removed at least an 1/8' off the top, with a slight ergo angle, and reblued it. No problems now.

    Slightly ergo angle?
  7. If safety blocks the sear when hammer is back. The safety is working properly.

Yea that's pretty much what Cajun Gun told me.

I just want to make sure I didn't screw up!

But it did concern me that the safety could be activated while the hammer is down AND that it would fire with the safety still on if the safety was put one with hammer down.

  8. This is what I found out after installing the CZC Extended Release on the TS:

    - The safety can be activated when the hammer is down (called Matt from AA) he says that normal, ok

    - When I rack the slide and put safety on the trigger wont fire, thats good

    - With hammer down, flip the safety on, pull on the hammer... THE GUN FIRES! <----- This scares me!

  9. That is the down side to thin grips.

Might want to try some grip tape on the grips. It will not add much thickness, but might be just enough depending on how you grip the gun.

Oh yea definitely! I am getting the gun cerakoted, thats why there is no tape on it =)

I am thinking just like the Sig Spartan with black controls!

Any got a saw I can borrow?

  10. It hurts my hand also with the thin grips. I plan to cut it down a little and slant it when I grind off the front and rear checkering.

Yea I tought I couldn't live with the grenade patern but it's not that bad...

Now are you saying that there is no replacement part for that mag release? I rather not cut it...

  11. Got most of my parts in! And after installing the new thin aluminum grip the magazine release is diggin in my left palm not cool!

I looked at getting a regular CZ 75 release to get it on but according to CZC it would fit... Anyone had to same problem and a solution?

The extended release will also have to be shaved a bit...

    Thanks guys!
