  2. Thanks to those of you that came out and shot the Winter Classic. For those of you that didn't come, you missed out on a great match. Congratulations to Todd for winning Open and as usual, first place Tactical, Taran. I really appreciated everyone's enthusiasm and support for the match and this is a great way to start the year. Hopefully multi-gun shooting will increase with this upcoming year. Todd, your magazine was turned in. Let me know what you want me to do. The match results will be sent in tonight.

  7. *2007 Winter Classic* 3 Guns at 5 Dogs Action Shooters in Bakersfield California. All new format 8 stages, on stage RO's and open squadding. 8. Will water be available at the bays and does each bay have some kind of shade? Just trying to figure out how much gear I have to pack onto my cart to save me a trip back to my vehicle. I should have listened to my wife and gone to gym 3 months ago, started yesterday and I'am up to 10 minutes on the treadmill.
  9. Sign ups 7:30 - 8:00, shooters meeting at 8:00 and shooting starts right after. I would bring 100 pistol, rifle, shotgun and 20 slugs. Should not need it all but you never know. Facility is the home range for the Sage Pistol League, it is the same location where the Silver Buckle match has been held for the last few years.
  10. The first match for the California 3-Gun Championship is this weekend in Ridgecrest Calif. best 4 out of the 6 matches score if shooting the series. You can still shoot the individual matches for fun and practice. link to the series flyer. http://www.uspsa2.org/uspsa2.htm#4
  11. We just wanted to try something different for this match. Since it is a one day match and a prize table we thought that it might be faster to use the time/scoring than USPSA scoring to try and get the results out faster, prizes distributed and people on the road. I don't know if it will make a difference, but it still should be a great match. I thought the rules were posted with the flyer, I will have to re-send it. FYI the CA 3-Gun Championship will be USPSA rules and scoring hope you can make a few of the matches.
  12. One day 3-gun match in Bakersfield CA 6 stages Open and Tactical class only. Match date Saturday Jan 28, 2006. http://www.uspsa2.org/2006_3-Guns-at-5Dogs_Register.htm
  13. Our club will be hosting both the Silver Buckle pistol match and the CA 3-G series next year so unfortunately we were not able to fit in an Area 2 3G. I went to 3gun.com and the only competitor scoresheet I found was for USPSA matches. Is there a generic scoresheet for IMGA time + scoring?
  14. Yes I am going to run the Ca 3Gun for 06 and if I can figure out the best way to utilize the IMGA rules and scoring I would like to try it. I am thinking of trying it out at our Winter Classic 3-G on Sat Jan 28 at 5-Dogs in Bakersfield.
  15. Our club is thinking of using the IMGA rules at our next 3G match and I had a couple questions. What is the best way to figure out the points percentage based on a 100 points for the 1st place shooter and is there a sample score sheet that works best for straight time with bonus for accuracy?
  16. Thanks for the info, I just got an a reply from Benelli USA and they said the new barrels have a longer barrel hanger and all I have to do is order a newer forend. I am just going to get a new forend and use the old style forend with the 18.5 barrel. I'll leave the dremel work for my gunsmith.
  17. I have a M1 tactical that had a 18.5" barrel and purchased a new 22" M1 field barrel. The rectangular lug just behind the magazine loop on the underside of the new barrel is 1" and the lug for the 18.5" is only 1/2" the synthetic forend is cut only long enough for the 1/2" lug. Is there a different forend needed to install the M1 field barrel? If there is I can't locate the part# or who might carry what I need.
  18. I have seen some modified tec loaders that are longer than standard and hold 6 rounds, does anybody know who makes these or how the standard ones are modified?
  19. The scores for the match are now posted at: http://www.uspsa2.org/uspsa2.htm#3 thanks again for the support and observations of the match.
  20. To all the shooters who braved the trek to beautiful Bakersfield, California! The members of 5 Dogs Action Shooters would like to thank you all for participating in the first Area 2 3-Gun Match. This was a big step up from our annual 1-day 5-Dogs Winter Classic Match usually held in January and the CA 3-gun match series that we also host here in April. As a fellow 3-gunner I know what shooters expect in a match and hope that it met all your expectations. We hope that you enjoyed our facility, stages, and hospitality. Come back and visit Bakersfield again! I also would like to thank all my fellow club members, and volunteers who without their help, this match would not have run as smoothly as it did. I also would like to have any feedback on this match, good or bad so we can do it better in the future. Wayde Shimoda Area 2 3-Gun Range Master 5 Dogs Member
