5 Dogs Range in Bakersfield California will be hosting the 2010 Championships on Oct 8th and 9th. Entry fee is $70.00 for a 10 stage trophy only match, and entries are limited to 150 shooters. The final match for the California Multi Gun Championship is set for this Sunday August 9 in Morro Bay at the Hogue Action Pistol Range. There will be 6 stages, Approximate round count 100 pistol, rifle and shotgun birdshot and there will be 15 slugs. There will be long range targets out to 275. The fifth match of the Championship is set for this Sunday July 26 at Bakersfield. There will be 1 pistol stage, 1 rifle stage, 2 shotgun stages and 2 multi gun stages. Approximate round count 60 pistol, 90 rifle, 100 shotgun birdshot along with 10 slugs and 5 buck. Due to the heat sign ups at 7:30 and shooting at 8:00.

The fourth match is set for this Saturday June 20 at Fresno. There will be 2 pistol stages, 2 rifle stages 1 shotgun stage and 1shotgun/pistol stage. Long range rifle out to 300 yards with close range shot from 30 to 40 yards. Approximate round count 100 pistol, 70 shotgun birdshot along with 10 slugs and 80 rifle. The first match of the Championship is scheduled for this Sunday in San Diego at the San Diego Shooters range in Pala. http://sandiegoshooters.com/ for directions to the range. Sign up starts at 8:00, shooters meeting at 8:45 and shooting will start promptly at 9:00. There will be 6 stages all multi gun stages. Approximate round count 110 pistol, 100 rifle 125 birdshot and 4 slugs. That is if you plan on taking two shoots on all the paper targets and do not plan on missing anything. Do not forget that daylight savings is also this weekend so make sure you change your clocks.

The host clubs have control over the stages they set and type of rounds that can be used. They have to option of using buck if they want. I would plan on bringing a little bit of everything to all the matches. Most of the time I do know what they have set up until I show the day before the match. If I get advanced notice of anything like round counts and such I will try and post it as so as I can. Hope that helps

Scoring will be comstock with enhanced scoring values for the long range rifle stage. Weather looks good maybe a 10% chance of rain and low 60's on Saturday. No problem traveling through any of the mountain passes. I will be out at the range tomorrow putting the finishing touches on the stages. See you all out there.

The stages are basically set and the approximate round count is 75 pistol, 10 buckshot, 12 slugs, 80 birdshot and 80+ rifle. It's always a good idea to bring more just in case. 1 long range target about 300 yards and the rest between 95 to 220. There are 3 single gun stages and 3 combo stages. Match will be held rain or shine.

weather permitting long range rifle would be between 100 to 300 yards. Fog is always a concern at this time of year. Stage has not been designed yet but I would venture to say, 3 or 4 shooting positions at 8 or so rifle flashers.

Buckshot will be on the MGM Auto Poppers set at a distance and maybe some paper, 100 rounds for each pistol, rifle and shotgun (birdshot)

The 2009 3 Gun Winter Classic is scheduled for Saturday January 24 in Bakersfield California. There will be 6 stages with on stage RO's and open squadding. USPSA equipment and safety rules. Scoring will be Comstock and the prize table will be order of finish. Stage descriptions will be posted on the stages the morning of the match. thanks to all that came out and shot the match and yes it was a beautiful day. low recoil buckshot did not work 100% but standard 00 worked fine out of my 20" cylinder bore 590 pump.

Sign up on Sunday is fine. I will be camped out at the range on Sat and Sun. Dry camping is available.

Revised round count about 125 bird shot 20 slugs and 20 buckshot, sign up start at 7:00 and shooters meeting and match starts at 8:00. 6 stages and there will be two sporting clay machines included on one stage. There will be plenty of shooting including slug and buckshot on both paper and steel.

The 1st Annual Shotgun match is scheduled for Sunday November 2 2008 at the 5 Dogs Action Shooters range in Bakersfield California. There will be 3 classes Open, Tactical and HM and the match will be run using USPSA equipment and scoring rules. USPSA Comstock scoring will apply. 6 stages 150 birdshot, 30 slugs and 20 buckshot.
