  1. I picked up one of the CED backpacks from SSI a month or so ago and thought it would be better than a "regular" bag. After a lot of arranging and rearranging I came to the conclusion that it just doesn't work better than the bag that I already had. Don't get me wrong, the CED is a good bag I just have TOO MUCH JUNK to cram into it!!

  2. Slayer +100  (also skolnick era) Testament and Death (before chuck fired the entire band):cheers: best early 80's and 90's bands for me

You've got to have some kind of guitar background!! Alex Skolnik and Andy Laroque were badass and put out some great stuff!! I heard that Alex has hooked up with testament again and they will be releasing a new album sometime this year. Ironic that James Murphey worked with both Testament and Death.....................................Coincidence that both of those records were AWESOME, I think not!!

  3. I know of a jackass that took his whole rig along for the family beach trip and made three trips to the indoor shooting range during the afternoons. Don't be that guy!!! Enjoy the time with family and avoid the confrontations with the wife. You may actually benefit from a little down time. Clint

  4. 22 SHOOTER, I'm on call so I wont make it Saturday. If you promise to shoot open I might try to sneak down there :P Infinity, the rear sight is a dawson that was cut by James Broom. I like the rear fiber so far but haven't shot it enough to say that it's any better than a regular bomar. As for you Randall, I will agree to shoot limited this whole year if you will do the same. Clint

  5. Rocket, I like the hybrid barrel setup but can't tell much difference between the hybrid or the bull barrel. I had a hybrid on a long dustcover a while back but wasn't shooting limited at the time so I sold it to buy bullets :angry2: !! I shot the gun that I had sold a few months ago and had to have another!! In the meantime I shot a six inch with a bushing barrel and was VERY suprised. The six inch shot better than I had expected but I already had the five inch being built but regardless of which setup you choose............................It's the indian not the arrow right?? Clint

  6. I know, I know...........I can't be competitive because this one isn't six inches long :P . But hold up, I hit an 18x24 rectangle 5 yards away so maybe there is hope. Just giving all you six inch mothers a hard time!!! Clint

  7. Played guitar for the last 17 years :surprise: Don't play much anymore but in my hayday bands that I was a part of have shared the stage with the likes of: Snot, Fear Factory, Incubus, System of a Down, Life of Agony, Coal Chamber, Stuck Mojo, Halfway to Gone and COROSSION OF CONFORMITY. My dirty secret is that I've even been on the same bill as Jackyl and LA guns!!! Sold all of my "stage" gear to buy bullets :angry2: Clint

  8. We shot one of the new 08 classifiers at my home club today, so I figured we may as well get a thread started on one of the new ones. This one isn't terribly hard but it does require the use of a handful of different "standard" skills. Open: 13.56 96 points for a HF of 7.079. Clint

  9. Have any of you guys had trouble zeroing the aluminum body model? I put one on an open gun earlier this year and couldn't get enough adjustment out of the aluminum model. Running the elevation screw all the way down, I was still hitting an inch to two inches low at 25 yards. Have any of you guys had a similar problem? By the way, the plastic cmore that I took off had no problem zeroing at 25 so I ended up putting it back on. Clint

  10. Had Dan build me an IDPA 45 just for the hell of it since I have at least one of every other one of his guns. I went with the Schuemann AET barrel,Dawson FO front and rear sight, flat topped and serrated slide, Ed Brown ambis and the SV magwell and it all fits in the box :surprise:

  11. I remember shooting this one about a year ago. Three of the four strings went really well and I shot some good points under the time limit. The weekhand string was the killer. I transfered the gun and dumped the mag before I got off the first shot. Giving up 25 point hurts when you dont even get to shoot!! Got rid of the mag button the next day and (knock on wood) haven't had that type of trouble since. I would like to have another shot at this one but haven't seen it at a match since. Clint

  12. I should have gotten one of these a long time ago. Ordered one at the nationals a couple weeks ago and it showed up today. Set up was easy and everything worked right off the bat. I loaded a couple hundred rounds to get a feel for it then checked the time..........about 4 minutes to load a hundred rounds!! If anyone is thinking of getting one but can't justify throwing down 500 bucks I can relate!! Trust me, it is worth every penny. Clint

  13. Here is what I found out from Starline today. You have to purchase 3 drums of 6500 pieces of brass (19,500 total) to get the discount. For 38 SC that is 116.00 per thousand shipped. In a nutshell you are saving eight dollars per thousand. Clint

  14. The only "aftermarket" basepads that I know will fit the IDPA box on the end of a 126mm mag are the Dawson International +1 pads and the Arredondos that are basically the same as the Dawsons, but made of plastic. SVI makes one similar to the international style but I think it will only fit if it is on a 124mm SVI mag. I've tried the Dawson and Arredondo but ended up going back to the factory STI carry pads.
