  1. Edit: Didn't realize I posted in this thread already. /fail
  2. Sorry. Don't mean to be "that guy." It's 328 posts deep! I'll cruise it later today.
  3. Fitting of the lifter and shell catch? Any links so I know what I'll be getting into
  4. What's the general consensus? I'm thinking of tossing my JM Pro in favor for one of these.
  5. I've been thinking about that... But it won't be here in time for next weekends event
  6. I have a ggg follower coming on Tuesday, I polished the shell release, I stretched the shell release spring, and I stretched the mag tube spring. I'm going to do some more polishing, but I'm at a loss right now.
  7. Shells are in the mag tube when it locks. Previously I used the bolt release, and this never happened. Is just with the new one.
  8. That's exactly the problem I had. Thanks for the video. I'll look at it tonihht
  9. We have a ghost ring on my dad's new JM. Thing shot a foot high at 20 yards. You have to replace the front to use sights
  10. I've got a 930JM. Bit of a story. I was at a 3 gun match, and the shell release pin dropped out. The shell release went into the chamber and blew out the end. Mossberg sent me a new one. I installed it, and now every time I rack the bolt back it locks (with a round in the chamber or without). Every time I press the bolt/shell release it double feeds. Followed this guide on brownells, and it still does it. http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/lid=15831/GunTechdetail/Fixing-A-Mossberg-930-Feed-From-The-Tube-Problem I am going to try polishing it a little more.. Because I'm guessing this still has to be the issue. I'd send it back under warranty, but I'm shooting the pikes peak shotgun challenge this weekend. So I have to fix it myself!
  11. Will my clark customs MKII in .17 hm2 be allowed in rimfire steel challenge matches?
  12. How much does the nordic weigh Mark?
  13. Sounds like I've got my opinions. JP best option, nordic cheapest option, and satern: new, different, but sounds cool. I might try that satern out. At 1lb 15oz, it weighs the same as a JP, should be more rigid ( fluting ), and I don't have to get the heat dissipator (looks cool but really looks like unnecessary weight to me) Thanks for the input fellas!
  14. I really like my vest from Mark at Cabon Arms. My pops is going to try out a practical shotgun match in a few weeks with me, and he did really well loading from the vest last night... his first time around. Just had to coach him to keep his hand flat.
  15. Thanks guys. More what I was looking to hear Any other opinions?
  16. Thanks for the input fellas. I've got a rifle right now which is more than enough. And I always understand that the hits come from the Indian not the bow. I practice a lot (a few hundred rounds a week), and this is a fun hobby for me. So, building the rifle is more for fun than anything. And when I make something (whether it be my old little racecar, or my gun bench, my beer, etc) I tend go overboard. I want to build something I can be proud of, that has some great utility to it, and that I'll be confident with. Between the three barrels, please tell me which one you'd all go for
  17. Thanks for the response. There's a vendor from another site that has three gun style wylde chamberings in stock from them for a competitive price.
  18. Yup. That's the one. This morning it wasn't available. I'm gonna go stand in the corner
  19. Sounds like in the 6.5 Grendel world the Satern is proven too. No one use it around here for their 3 gunning though?
  20. Sorry, figured I was posting in the Multigun section... It'll be a 3G rifle. I just mean 1 to 1-1/2moa at a few hundred after a few mag dumps. Figure all 3 of these barrels will do that. JP and Satern seem to have the edge for weight. Nordic for price. Read a few posts on the ARFCOM website about how the Satern cut-rifled barrels were solid performers, but can't find much else around here... and for that price should I just pay a little more for the JP barrel...? (and yes... I can get good quality accuracy. I was at 1/4moa average shooting prone with my Sig556 DMR, and with the 1-4x vrx patrol on the Stag 3G I currently run.. I'm between 1/4 and 1moa. Sure is tough for me to get much better with only 4x)
  21. Heads up on the Bladetech AR pouch. They're really back ordered right now. I've had 2 on order from optics planet since the beginning of the year. They just bumped my ship date from april 10 to the beginning of june I cancelled and just bought the safariland 774. I like my CRSpeed, but I also use a CarbonArms chest rig for my shotgun shells instead of on the belt line.
