Shell Rotella T - full synth - 5W40
Why rotella ???? I get the synthetic part, and really use Mobil synth lubes( and astroglide) but was wondering what rotella has that Donax or other shell products don't... For educational purposes, am curious.

Yes, it's horizontal. I kept losing mine, so I tapped the plastic for a couple of set screws.
Thanks That makes sense.i guess you wedge it at the top of the belt hole inside of the keeper to kind of compress the belt downward?
I was gonna use some Velcro bands to keep mine in place... I like the set screw plan....

I took mine apart and removed the weights and replaced it with a piece of a aluminum tube. Got it down to the same weight as a factory LM buffer. I also polished the spring and buffer tube.
How did it work??? Beneficial or not worth the time?
Replies appreciated I guess I should have asked is it worth tampering with?
The JP parts worked really well and have helped reduce muzzle rise and recoil, significantly. I didn't want to do anything beyond the red JP LM buffer as the other unit just looks like if it fails you're done for the day or stage. Am open to suggestions or test results..

This isn't a save but my best friend lost his eye after hitting steel while training. Nothing in the word could save it, the glasses he was wearing slid down on his nose when he was hit. He worked for several contractors downrange where some never knew he only had one eye. One contractor found out and dissolved his position....and sent him home right before deployment.
My glasses have been hit numerous times when working with cable and fiber, and I've been hit while on ranges and other places thriving w flying metal.
Safety glasses are such cheap insurance!!!!

I had to do something as years of treats have caught up and turned me into the quasi fat guy at a competition. ( not Chris Christie bad but over anyway. I tried 4x4 and the usual "spend coin on caddies" fever w diff belt setups and couldn't get anything to work w minimal fumble. Was literally grabbing for shells in all directions and loading pockets w shells as a backup...I watched a few guys w chest rigs but they were doing doubles not quads and it looked slow. Saw a few of the pros run some scenarios which hit home and made sense. Like using the taccom or invictus stuff. Came up w an idea for my Santa ass to load as many as fast as u can without fumbling on weak and strong side.lotsa thin shooters were bitching about the belt sliding down, so I worked to find a system that wouldn't be too flexible, lightweight, and somewhat comfortable . Am trying to get the belt loops squared away then it'll be ready.

Am running a JP setup already b, bc, and low mass buffer. Gun is working fine. Was curious if anyone is going beyond a red plug n play setup and are modifying oem rifle, carbine or aftermarket parts for lighter weight and performance???

Why doesn't someone call a cart company, get a fixed rental rate, where they would have a load of em ready to go at the match at a reduced rate...
I'm sure some supplier of carts would jump on it

Seriously what is the point of any thread on Brian Enos when Jesse Tischauser replies to every thread with his bitch slap of knowledge. I watched that guy destroy in Vegas. Just rename this forum to "do what Jesse says". No other pro takes the time to throw his knowledge down like this guy. I've shot with a few guys here and I can say that Jesse, Alaska popo and trapr know what they are talking about just do what they say.
Off topic but I'm glad guys like jt and a few others share good knowledge to help out other shooters. Always appreciated....

I appreciate they sponsor stuff as well but when it's in stock it should ship w in 1 biz day not a week. Especially when paid upfront. I really wanna like this co but it's not working right now. They sent the usual bs e mails were making your stuff Gonna ship etc but man that was 2 weeks ago. Reason I'm polling is to see if I made a mistake or I should just stfu and deal w it cause its jut that way... Didn't wanna call em just to hear pre canned stories...I checked their site which is informative but it's a site....
as far as the ibtl goes I asked my questions and got my answers. Go to lgs to make sure you have rounds. Go to freedom if u don't care how long it takes....I guess I should have read the subliminal on the free ship for 1st orders... No one should bitch about free shipping buys time to run existing orders not filled, thanks for the info.

Decided to break from the Russian ammo and try some us made stuff. I used Russian so I can shoot more and not have to hunt for it . Been buying 1k cases every other month post school shooting.
Figured Id try freedom. They say its in stock, 3 weeks and I haven't rcvd crap from this company. 9 mil or 223 Anyone else had this issue? I won't tolerate BS inventory stats and blaming nonstick in due to shipping I'm fng pissed... Am guessing get money in first, make bullets later.
I can reload if I want but don't have time right now.
Bunch o BS I'll go back to black ass bear and wonky wolf at least it's on a shelf ready to go. Don't care how many prisoners get beaten during the mfg process..
Am I missing something??? I can order from sportsmans guide and never wait this long... Arghhhhhg dick mode off.

JP springs
Polished all
Speed hammer mod
pre-travel screw
Trigger lube
$12.50 = 4 lbs crisp break with NO pre-travel. Its Better than a Mil-Spec (YES) Cheep is good
CMC = 3.5 lbs. To me Both these triggers seem to HEAVY for Competition. Spend more
Am running a hiperfire 24e and a 24 c in both guns. I love em. Easy to install, change springs easily easy to clean and lube. Customer support is awesome. They know their product well! It's worth the money.

I did 2 bends on it so the middle is flat and the outboards are bent back slightly. I can do weak and strong quads w no hiccups so far. Will range test it this week.
