  1. My vortex PST 1-4 recticle was not daylight bright. So I figured I would sell it and give the strike eagle a try. Camerland has them available for preorder and the list is pretty short compared to others. I called dsg arms last week and they had over 42 people already on the list. With a law enforcement discount this scopes price is phenomenal for a scope with a lifetime warranty.

  2. If your looking for a defensive pistol don't overlook the 9mm. There's no such thing as "knock down power" in common defensive pistol rounds. A pistol round does not create a large wound channel like a high velocity rifle round. Pistol round wound channels are limited to the bullet diameter at expansion, so there's minor differences between 9-45. This wasn't the case prior to bonded bullet technology. When issuing guns we give new recruits the opportunity to shoot Glock 9, 40, and 45. They usually pick the 9 or 45.

  3. Just got an idea which might be my winter project, but want to see if anyone has tried it. I really want to try a SJC frame weight but don't want to commit to a race holster. Has anyone tried to fit a 34/35 with a SJC frame weight into a Safariland ALS for light bearing pistols. I was thinking I might be able to cut a large diameter dow rod lengthwise and attach it inside the holster to make up the size difference between the weight and light. Guess it would depend on width differences between the weight and light. Any thoughts or comments?????

  4. I have a gen 4 35 in which I replaced the factory recoil spring with a reducer ring, tungston guide rod, and 15 pound spring. When I shoot one handed, either strong or support hand I have malfunctions, usually fail to feed. I have to death grip the gun to get it to feed. When I put my factory recoil spring/guide rod back in everything works fine. Anyone else experience this?

  5. My last ZEV magwell had a screw like the one in the above video and it went in easy. This magwell has a different screw head and its a biotch to get started. I played with it last night until my hands cramped up. I had to walk away from it before I threw it through the wall. I've installed them several times with no problem, so I don't know if I got a miss aligned thread hole or magwell hole. Might have to break out the drill.

  6. I've been monkeying around with a new ZEV heavy magwell for over an hour and can't get the damn screw to start which connects the magwell to the insert. I know I've stripped it out in my frustration to get it to start. I'm about ready to throw it out and order a Dawson. Anyone else had problems, do I need to wobble out the magwell to get the screw to start?

  7. That's what I thought from the stock photos... I don't need a lateral extension (more meat sticking out from the grip), I need an extension that reaches toward the backstrap. Anybody seen such a beast?

I ordered one of the extended mag releases from glockstore.com. Its not the aluminum mag release and has a tear drop pad which extends back. Just came in today and I installed it but haven't shot it. Jury is still out on this one.

  8. I too was having the same problems with the 4 pound striker spring. I switched to the 4.5 pound and everything has been running flawless. Contact DK he has been great getting back to me with any problems I have had.

  9. My friend who is just getting started in 3 gun was asking my opinion on shotguns. Due to this thread I recommended the Stoeger which he is enroute to buy. Also recommended MOA who he has already contacted and set up to have the competition package done on it. Can't wait to shoot it and compare it to my Benelli.

  10. Yes this is the factory striker which you said does not like the lighter springs. DK has been in touch with me and has been great with the customer service. I like the trigger it has little pre travel and over travel. The trigger is light and smooth. Now that I have the heavier striker spring I expect it to work fine.

  11. I was having light primer strikes with my DK trigger. I took apart my trigger and slide making sure everything was clean and assembled correctly. It appeared my safety plunger was prematurely worn (Don't know why). Put everything back together, shot another 50 rounds, and had 3 light primer strikes. Had to install the heavier striker spring and everything seemed to work.
