This is great to read since I just ordered the 1016, Extreme Bolt, 3 Stage Buffer and CF handguard for my new build.

I have two CMC triggers in my 9mm PCC rifles-one is a 3.5 lb and the newer one is a 2.5 lb trigger and they both are AWESOME and 100% reliable. Excellent break, reset, all that stuff.
They are specifically designed for 9mm PCC rifles and I couldn't be happier with them. Couldn't be happier. ZERO trigger slap and a joy to use.
I talked to the owner about a lighter trigger and he made a 2.5 lb 9mm PCC trigger for me. Last time I looked it wasn't listed but he put it together for me and didn't charge a penny extra. He's also a GREAT guy to talk to-knows tons about this stuff and probably talked to me for almost an hour and I am truly a no-body...
Wow that’s great. I’m leaning towards the CMC at this point but would like it to be lighter. Maybe I should call them?

Well j was planning on using the Taccom bolt so I assume that paired with a PCC specific trigger should pair up well. Yes?

Something to consider will be hammer profile compatibility with whatever bolt you use.
How do I know what bolts fit what hammer profiles? I haven’t purchased either yet.

What PCC do you have? Hiperfire is little more involved to install then house units and can potentially be hard on firing pins. Also if running light loads for steel challenge Hiperfire heavy toggle springs can sometimes be hard to overcome with lite PF loads. Timney PCC( gold colored housing) has been working well for me and brakes at just over 3 pounds. Velocity triggers 3-pound unit also has proven to be extremely reliable or me.
I’m currently building one right now using an Angstadt Arms receiver set.

What is everyone running for drop in triggers? I’d like to stay with reasonable priced options but am willing to look at higher priced ones also. This will be in a build for both USPSA and Steel Challange. Go!

Thanks for the help

Has anyone ever created a build sheet of the necessary parts for building a PCC? I’m finding thatI don’t necessarily buy a new PCC only to remove parts to replace them with what I want. I’m hoping that building one from the ground up will allow me to get what I want and safe me some wasted money. Any help would be appreciated.

I honestly just don’t get it. As a guy who spends the GDP of a small 3rd world nation on crap I don’t need, this magazine is literally pointless even by my standards.
Glock OEM mags are completely reliable and 1/5 the cost so in what realm would this be a necessity?
It’s my money. It’s my decision.

I assembled 2 so far for friends who bought them. The competition build is pretty light. It runs out of the box.
Let me get you connect to the right person. If you want, pm me your contact.
I’ve looked on the website and can’t find any information either. Can you help? I’ll pm you.

Can a bull barrel be turned down to accept a cone compensator?

I’m cautiously optimistic for STI. They brought on Dave Dawson and Eddie Garcia which is a huge indicator to me that they are going in the right direction.
If they made the staccato in a double stack I’d buy it. I don’t see the need for it right now. My Dan Wesson does everything this does but better in my opinion.
There was no need for it to be a double stack, they have the DVC Carry.
As as far as it’s performance against your Dan Wesson, have you shot the Staccato yet to compare them? If not you’re just speculating. Remember, this was designed as a self defense gun and not a competition piece.

This is actually a carry gun. 3.9” barrel but this, I believe, is an introduction to future projects that will be USPSA and IDPA legal competition guns.

I think this concept brings the 1911 to the next level and I’m looking forward to seeing its progress and how it fits in with USPSA and Steel Challenge (which is what I focus on).

I saw the videos and pictures, but hadn't realized it was a single stack. I think it would be pretty cool for a single stack gun. I'm also fairly sure there are no rules against it in SS division, as the applicable rule just says "frames must be metal" but says nothing about being two-piece or modular.
Don’t they have to be bushing barrels in single stack division though? I could be wrong.

STI released a few videos from before and during Nationals this past week of the ne single stack Staccato in action. The concept of a 2011 single stack is very interesting to me. I understand the frame is different from a hicap 2011 model but the future of this for single stack competitors is very intriguing. What are your thoughts?

I’ve become a big fan of the Shield RMS. I didn’t really like the triangle DeltaPoint.

I was told the Sig P320 guide rods work with commander length 1911 springs. I have a P320 steel guide rod arriving tomorrow. I will report back.
