Dont go too light. At my 137 PF the brass is almost falling out on ejection. STI with full weight slide and 10lbs recoil 15 pound hammer
-
I got 137 PF with 3.8 gr WST at 1.190 from a 5" STI.
-
I dont have Clays but i have WST. Where would i start for a 180 plated minor load at 1.18~1.2. Thanks
-
I think 5.4" is a solution to a problem that doesnt exist
-
Looking at switching to Blue Bullets. I'm using less powder and seem to be just as accurate (within any meaningful measure) as Zeros and MG
-
1.18 to 1.20

Just FYI CK steel grip is a sure fit in a DAA Racer
-
Thats PurdyI have a Freedom Gunworks Limited gun with the CK Arms Steel grip and I like it a lot. I would say it has a medium grip texture and gives a lot of weight to the gun.

What's "Silver Bullet". I'm asking about area 1 championship how do I find out if there are weekend slots?
-
I heard this year that the weekemd slots sold out. I haven't checked that personally. But having to take extra days off work to shoot in the middle of the week would cause many of those added slots to go unfilled.
Geez I think I heard that somewhere else. That they opened early to local shooters that filled the weekend slots. How would I even find you because I can't see squaring on practice score without registering first and it doesn't seem like they have a Fb or other website running ?
-
Trying to understand why area 2 sells out in 3 minutes and area 1 still has 100+ openings. What's everyone else know that I don't???
-
I guess he's assuming it would be the same angle and since the sight radius is longer, hence, will rise higher. BUT...angle will not be the same due to several reasons, first one being, a heavier slide and one that is nose-heavy, will naturally be tamer, if ammo is the same. BUT...a 6" slide could dip more, if you don't have your fundamentals squared away, like me
Yup. Im assuming a slide that has been lightened to,weigh the same as a 5" slide shooting the same ammo. If you would expect the same angle of barrel litt the sight would seem to rise more from LOS. In the real world there are many factors at play.

Ive seen several tri-topped around the ejection port

VZ Aliens!

The 6" has to rise more given a longer radius all else equal.

I dont get rails on competition guns

Thanks for the write up

I think the slightly smaller feeling of the CK grip is because the front strap is not a squared off as a standard STI plastic grip
