Ask him how clear the glass is and how crisp and bright the dot is.

Reminds me of this

I don't need the glass capable of hammering in nails, I need the electronics to not s#!t out after 400 rounds like my last red dot. If it works like a typical RMR I'll be super happy. Ordered one this morning

I googled it for 45 seconds and it says the rate actually goes up when you shorten a spring. YMMV
I know there is an engineer here that will answer it better...
-
I imagine cutting it would fix it, but I'm not sure how that all works in a captured rod situation. Cutting them is what you do on a 2011 if they run out of travel because the spring stacks up before the slide bottoms out on the frame
-
If the spring is fully stacked against it self before the slide has reached its rearward travel, you get coil bind. This is something you have to check with new springs on 2011s from time to time, as you don't want the gun to bottom out on the spring.
-
That makes sense then. You're getting coil bind by cramming the wolf spring onto the factory rod.
-
I have not experienced this

10.2.1.3 states that 10.2.1.2 does not apply in this situation. The only thing that applies is is it a significant advantage or not?
-
Yep. If the RO tells me to put my hands over my head I will just turn my back to the COF and stand there.
As the RO I will do as Sarge stated above.
-
It came with a 16# Wolff spring but I need to try something else
-
Just picked up a Glock Jentra tungsten rod. Works fine
-
They work fine, but put the dot quite a ways above the top of the slide.
-
Steel or Tungsten?
-
Seems like every year the Area matches try to outdo themselves with dumb things. Last couple years it was a3, and now a6 is in the lead.
-
Tried a Spingco guiderod at the match today and it's much better than stock, but doesn't close the slide with enough force. Had a jam after inserting a full mag because it doesn't have enough force to close the slide. Would really like to run a normal steel or ideally tungsten uncaptured rod and a normal spring. Someone make one or find a rod from another gun that is compatible! please!

The 507c looks pretty good although a little small. Let us know what you think about it compared to the DPP
507c arrived and I like it. I think I will end up liking the circle crosshair and dot combo.
Turns out the DPP I borrowed was just a regular Deltapoint, not a Pro. I am not a big fan of the triangle, but shooting it for the first time in a match was probably not ideal.
-
This is why it's stupid they got rid of Virginia count.
Nothing wrong with doing what you are planning to do. I'd probably plan to shoot some extra makeups from the 7 yard position also.
-
What's with the glove?
-
Broke my viper after less than 500 rounds last night. Match tomorrow so I'm borrowing a DPP and have a 507c on the way, but it won't arrive until tomorrow afternoon
-
You're preaching to the choir my man.

The R.O. and especially the R.M. should know the rules better than anyone else, they are the match officials.
That's true, but it's up to you as a competitor to know the rules of the sport. The "RM" at most local matches is usually the MD, and he's not guaranteed to know the rules

The R.O. and The RM need to read the rule book.
It is not a DQ unless the gun was put down loaded with the safety off.
You left out the most important part. The shooter needs to know the rules to prevent from these situations. Yes the RO and RM was wrong in this case, but I blame the shooter more.

Roger. I wasn't sure how they would call that since it was well out while you were shooting the static target
