  1. I like Glocks, I like them a lot but don’t shoot them near as much as I would like due to slide bite. I’m a big guy, with extremely big hands. Size 15 ring for reference. Before I completely write them off, is there anything that I can do? I’m running the largest back strap with the beaver tail and the slide still chews up the webbing of my strong hang in between my thumb and index finger. I shoot several brands of handguns, and shoot them all relatively well so I don’t think my grip is wrong.

this post will probably get some hate but ive been using the brownells low mass BCG for like 100$ and it has functioned perfectly

its around 8.2 ozs which isnt as light as some but is defiantly lighter than some of the other low mass systems

i guess it would depend on your budget

I just ordered one one of these on Friday. Hope it works well. If not, I’m sure Brownell’s will make it right

  3. I have always been in a similar situation. I really struggle trying to push speed in live fire practice. For me, it almost feels like you’re completely ignoring the fundamentals. As you said, it is necessary to get faster though. I will say that running Bill Drills has helped me a lot to understand what it feels like to shoot at that pace.

I would give them more love if they would make a descent size dot. Look at what the open gun guys use,  6 and 8 moa C-mores, something guys like me with older eyes can see. I love my green 510 but it would be so much better with a 6 moa dot instead of the 2. It's just too small on bright summer days.

65 MOA won’t do it for you?

  5. Pulled my 10.5” SBR PCC out of the safe today for the first time in over a year. I’m undecided between the HF and the CMC. To me, the CMC seems kind of like the Glock of triggers, it may not be the best or flashiest but it will always go bang! Am I wrong in thinking this?

In the long run it doesn't have to be an either or situation, as you can build a few different uppers to select from depending on the specific match layout.

    Good point!

Being that this gun will be used mainly for bay style shooting with hallways, ports, shoot houses, etc., I think I will go with the original plan first. 16” mid from Ballistic Advantage. If and when I find myself needing something different I can build a new upper using the knowledge gained from previous matches.

Got the 45 back. Haven’t shot it yet. May get to after work today just to sight in and mess with for a few mins.

Def need to lighten up the trigger a bit though. Maybe just a minus connector and 5lb striker spring and call it good.

Nice! I really need to get my hands on a 45. Seems it would be great for both carry and the games.

  8. I am in the process of acquiring parts to assemble a carbine for the carbine matches. My plan was to get a 16” mid length Hanson from Ballistic Advantage but most seeem to recommend an 18” rifle length instead. I’m a bit torn as somewhat of a carbine newbie as to whether I will be able to tell a difference or not?

I’m currently contemplating the Odin Works  3 gun 18” barrel or just sticking with the original plan of the BA Hanson 16” mid. I can get the BA barrel for almost half what the Odin works will cost. However, I don’t mind spending the cash on things that I will benefit from. What are your thoughts?

Other components that will make up the gun :

    Aero precision upper and lower

    Hiperfire Comp trigger

    JP SCS recoil system

    Lightweight BCG

    F1 Firearms 15” handguard

    SJC Titan Comp

  9. I also have both the SP-01 and S2. My SP-01 has lots of polishing and all of the CGW goodies. The S2 has all of the CGW goodies as well. As much as I want to like the S2 better, I think I prefer the SP-01. Both are milled for a DPP and used in CO division so the longer sight radius of the S2 is negligible.
