  1. I know the Lancer magazines are a little different then the pmags but will they still fit in all the mag holders on the market or do I need to look at Specific mag pouches??? I dont have any right now but I was looking to buy a few just want to make sure its not a pain to find other accessories to work with them....
  2. Yea I remember you telling me that I may end up doing that
  3. I shot my first carbine match this past weekend and loved the scope!!! Only a few things I would like vortex to change and these are my preference’s.... Lockable diopter, 1/4 moa turrets and everyone’s will agree smaller package... ;> None of these items would make my times better but the lockable diopter would give me piece of mind and the 1/4 moa adjustments would make it a little more precise if you sat down at a bench.... I’m never going to dial with this reticle so I would prefer smaller adjustments..... Just my 2cents Over all great scope!
  4. I'm planing to come out as a spectator this year. Is there a schedule saying whos shooting where and what days/time? or would it be best to just come out sunday for the finals at what time....? Thanks
  5. The first response touched on using slugs with different chokes a little... People do it but if you have the wrong set up it won't work to well...
  6. thanks for the links. Is there anything specific I should be looking for on these to make sure their ok? and does a ported or vented barrel put you in open class?
  7. Ha nice but I don't have a full top rail. I just decided to run it until I have a problem then transfer it to a 22 trainer latter
  8. thanks lsnsc Ill have to look around
  9. Ok and I'm surprised they didn't say anything about it when I talked to them before I bought my gun..... I asked about it and said I wanted one but he said to order it seperate because if I ordered it throught them it may stall my build if they ran out...
  10. Ha nice Akkid! looks like I need to track down a tube
  11. dont know that I would ever take a hacksaw to the barrel but I may just run it and see what happen. I know I wont learn if I dont play so seams like the quickest way to get out there and start shooting.
  12. yes I got the one for side charging handle. I thought about bending it but then it would stick further back in the trigger guard and make it difficult to get my finger in.... May grind a little and bend it in 2 separate places. Caz41 do you have a link to the thread? I searched on here but didnt run across it. May just have to search for lrp-07. Ill let you know what phase five says and what to end result is once I come up with a solution. Thanks
  13. those were my original thought but i didnt want to throw 400 at that gun when I can find a jm930 for 600-750.... But if the chokes arent a big deal its really a no brainer 130 bucks and go play till I decide exactly what I want/need. WHO am I kidding WANT! ;> Ill have to see how much a new barrel would cost maybe itll be cheaper then I think. Thanks for the help.
  14. I have a scr11 and just installed my phase five lever today only to find out that it hits the billet lower... I also found that if you do even a small drop test 1in from the ground onto the but of the gun and the bolt releases..... I found this out after my dad bumped the but of the gun to ensure my stock was on after changing some screws. Is this normal or not a big deal that the boult releases that easy? Does anyone else have the same set up that doesnt hit the lower? I plan on sending Phase five a email but wanted to know everyone else thinks about this.....? Here are a few pictures that show where it put a small scratch from putting it in the case to go to the range today......... ;(
  15. My dad has an old Remington 1100 that I had plans to buy a Nordic tube for and use in three gun. However today I realized it doesn't have threads to instal different chokes.... I've seen/ heard allot of people use different chokes for different stages. So question do I need the ability to install and change out chokes? Or no big deal? Also if I install a choke can I still shoot slugs? Don't see that working out to well... The barrel is 30 in so I could have it cut and threaded but how much would that cost?
  16. Might have forund a solution warne mounts makes a low profile rail mount and just have to stick to red dots that use the plate mount system.... heres vortex mount for their red dot http://www.vortexoptics.com/product/razor-red-dot-low-rail-weaver-mount still curios what others think about this set up. Im not going to be running in open class anytime soon! I'm just trying to plan ahead. thanks Rickey
  17. Thanks gng4life im trying to decide before i mount everything. I could always get warne's new skeleton mount and add a 45 degree mount but I thought this was the easier way....
  18. ok what compact mounts are you talking about? and a red dot like a jpoint or cmores new rts that already has the rails built in...?
  19. Does anyone have this combo? I have a vortex 1-6 hd in a warne ramp mount. I went to put on a cheap red dot I had just to see how it would looked and found that the eye piece on the vortex scope is just to big and hits the screws on the red dot mount.... I know that a different red dot would have recessed screws but even then it looks tight! Just curious if others have tried this and what the results are.... ???
  20. may want to be more specific with your question.... Im not sure what your trying to ask...?
  21. Damn wish I knew about the 10% off! I thought I did good at 1325 including shipping from a snipers hide vendor.... All well just waiting on my mount so I can go play! ; )
  22. I ended Up going with the Vortex 1-6. Should be here on Monday! ;> I cant wait to get everything put together and try it out!
  23. it says on their site that the mount puts the centerline of your scope 1.5 in above the rail which is exactly the same as larue and several others. The jp just looks taller for some reason....
  24. thats kinda what im thinking. where did you get that throw lever from? Does the height of these mounts make a big difference?
  25. Im really not sure which one is best. I like that warne comes with the 45 offset which saves money down the road. Larue SPR-E will allow plenty of eye relief. And I like Jp's mount because its doesnt have anything sticking out on the sides.... O choices.... May just have to get the scope in hand and find a local dealer to see what fits me best.... A local scope dealer said the Nightforce Ultralite Unimount would be a good choice as well. What do you think? Thank you for all the feed back
