How do you tell the difference between the short gen ones and the slightly longer gen 2s? is it stamped somewhere on them or is it just by length

I think the FTF is prolly because of the 22tcm mags as for the other problem with the mag well im gonna see if some of the mecgears will work since some of them seem to be longer than the originals if not ill put a little email out to see if anyone has the longer versions of these mags

Upon futher inspection it seems that the follower in the original mag is coming up to far and triggering the slide stop even tho there is still one round left in the mag. I wonder if this is because the feed lips were modified for the 22 Tcm cartiridge which is allowing the 9mm to sit higher up in the mag.

okay so after getting the gun i fed a few rounds through it just cycling it by hand and noticed that every time it came to the last round teh slide would lock open with the last round still in the mag is there anyreason that would cause this? Im thinking its the mag with the 9mm in it since its bent up for the tcm

Hello I recently got one of these pistols in and am new to this platform. Im intending to pretty much ditch the 22tcm and leave the 9mm in for a cheap 2011 style competition gun (budget build college kid) and was wondering what if any parts are readily availible and replacable for it. Like can I put normal Para parts into this build since what iv seen so far it is basically a para clone.

Okay so I recently happened upon a RIA 22tcm/9mm and am trying to turn this into a budget 2011 (broke college kid) My ? is 1. is there a way to fit a magwell to this 2. Mags? they seem a bit flush but could this be even done? Just wondering if it can even be done or if it could be done with new grips and some slight modification to the bottom of the pistol (if thats even legal)

Thanks for the suggestion Flex and I have thought about it it would save me a bit of cash and would be something I could eaisly add to later once I get my reloading setup. Ill probably do this to be honest as it would let me get a big stick and a holster to accomidate it.

Well I've got a basic limited setup right now Magwell and mag exstension and a new trigger other than that nothing else I was going to order and extended mag release and new guide rod spring but I was going to wait to see which one would be best I don't want something anything in the dovetail right now as I'd like to leave the original sights on so I could take the comp and optic off for 3 gun tac optics Which limits the mounting options I'm guessing I'd prefer a c more sight but don't really want to have to modify the slide if it can be helped

Okay I'm new to the whole open thing but was wanting to turn my limited g17 into an open gun. Problem is I can not reload at the moment I'm still in college and don have the cash to drop on all the reloading gear plus the pistol parts as well. Any suggestions? Will this even work for USPSA? Also a parts list maybe? Iv done a bit of research on building an open g17 and am debating a slide mounted optic or one that kinda hovers? (Not sure the correct term for that) Any help will be greatly appreciated! -Dakota
