  1. I've recently replaced my 1100 Competition Master for an 1100 that I built with Ashley Express Rifle Sights and a Speedfeed stock. Rifle: Bushmaster lower w/ JP Trigger and JP upper and an EOTech Pistol: Springfield Armory 1911 Operator I really like this setup. It seems to work well for me.
  2. If they can keep it in the 150-$250 range then I think that they have real winner on their hands.
  3. I have used both the Aimpoint and the EOTech. The EoTech wins hands down. The circle works great for the up close and personal targets and the dot is great for longer ranges. If I have to be shooting a lot past 100yds then I prefer my IOR 2.5x10. Target ID and engagement greatly improves with a little magnification.
  4. I've got a 16" bull barrel that I really like. The little bit of extra weight helps balance the rifle out and reduces muzzle climb; equalling faster follow-up shots.
  5. I'm looking to put the F2 on a tactical carbine that will be used as a LE trunk rifle. Has anyone had the opportunity to fire a short barrel AR15 at night with either the F2 or the BC comp? How distracting or blinding is the muzzle flash? Thanks
  6. I am looking at getting the F2 compensator for my AR15 when I get it rebarrelled. This is a tactical carbine so I don't want a really long barrel. I am thinking about having the F2 put on a 14.5" M4 barrel. My question is...can any gunsmith do this or must the smith also be a class 3 dealer? The compensator will be permanately attached as I don't want to go through the extra paperwork and pay a $200 tax for 1.5". Thanks.
  7. It looks as though Leupold has come out with some new scopes. I am very interested in their new 1.5-5x20 SPR scope. A couple of new low power scopes. A 1st focal plane reticle and a new "Special Purpose" reticle. Optics Talk: New Leupold line-up for details
  8. I have a Rem 1100 Competition Master. My previous 3-gun shotgun was a Moss 590 with Ghost rings. I am still not completely sold on the two dot sight on the CM. It works great for close in but at today's 3-gun match we had a 100yd slug shots. I hit 75% of the targets but I think that some sort of rifle/ghost ring sights would be much more accurate. What have you found to be the best compromise between up close speed and longer range accuracy on the 1100? All inputs are very welcome, thanks for your help.
  9. I went to a 3-gun match here in eastern NC with my new 1100 CM. I was tired of losing the Shotgun Stages because I didn't have a choke on my Moss 590. I've had the 1100 for about a month and only had time to take it to the range for a function test. But I bought a box of dummy rounds from Brownell's and have been practicing my reloads at the house. When it came to the shotgun stage yesterday I was amazed at how much smoother and subsequently faster my reloads were. I am very pleased with the CM. I am hoping that by next month I'll be more comfortable with my new equipment and even smoother. I did find out that I need to practice with slugs more and get use to using the second bead sight. I really appreciate all of the info here, thanks.
