  1. If I have to wear a coat and tie to a shooting function, it's probably going to be accompanied only by a codpiece and flip flops. Those of you who know me will know that this is not something you want at a gathering.

    DanO

Thanks Dan! It's going to take all day to get that image out of my head....

    :roflol:

Brian, I have already ingested a gallon of Clorox to get the thought out of my mind.

  2. So What about Non Shooter / Fall tree change leaf color sightseeing things for a wife to do ? She has seen me shoot slow before, just a few times.

What she wanted to do was hit Vermont as part of our 25th anniversary -

    Jamie,

Mid September is wayy too early for leaf peeping in New England. Although, the weather is usually pretty nice, and the crowds are thinner.

In Vermont, the leaves are probably changing during the middle of September, however in West Virginia where the match is, they ususally do not change until the end of September. Things to do for the misses, does she like antiques as they are a whole lot of small shops to hit in downtown Winchester or Martinsburg. There are Civil War battlefields all within an hour drive and some of the most historic of the war. I would suggest the Winchester or Martinsburg Chamber of Commerce. Oh yea did I mention a half hour drive to Charles Town (East on Route 9) for casinos?

  4. Oh yea I forgot to mention....... I was told by someone very important that they wanted to see 150 guns on the prize table! I guess I have my work cut out for me.

I think u misread my email. It said 175 guns. I think we should need to bring a sling for the prize table too:)

Jesse, you let the cat out of the bag.....don't bring a sling for the prize table, I have contacted the local grocery store for shooters to use shopping carts to haul the bounty from the prize table.

  5. We will be once again having 3 stages together and half day format. We will have some cool toys to shoot on your off time. I am currently working some room blocks, as well as giving you the opportunity to preorder lunches. I will try to talk the ladies into selling Chicken and Dumplings by the gallon for those of you driving....a little take home from the match.

We will once again shoot all three guns on each stage and yes you will need slings for both the rifle and shotgun. We will give you options on the stages as to what targets you want to engage with what firearm you choose. An example, you can shoot the 50 yard paper targets with a rifle (1 center hit or two anywhere) or shotgun, 1 slug hit anywhere....oh decisions! Each stage may be different as to hits required so make sure you are paying special attention to your stage walk throughs and ask questions.

3 stages are done and currently working the other 6.

  6. Oh I have a feeling that good news will be posted here shortly!

    Larry

    New MD for 2012?

Do the words PENALTY BOX mean anything there to you Mayor?????

You will notice he has the good sense not to suggest that they replace the statistician . . .

    Linda Chico (L-2035)

2012 FNH USA 3 Gun Statistician

Of course not stats have been perfect;)

    SUCK UP!

  7. Figures the chicken and dumplings came up. They were always out by the time I got there for lunch. Hope to make this match again. I had a blast last year even though I shot terrible.

This year just take a zero on the stage you are shooting about 11 o'clock- that way you know there will still be some at the range house.

    :)

The food will be up where the trailers were which is very close to shooting and provides plenty of parking.

You will be able to prebuy lounch tickets so they have an idea of how much to fix......I think they are planning on cooking soup and chicken n dumplings in a 55 gal drum this year.

  9. Is there possibly going to be registration online or payment online. Or at least can I call in with a credit card #? We're coming from out of country and Money Orders really suck.

    What's the suck Matt...?

Other than having to actually walk into a bank to get one... I've used 'em often for the US matches... 'Never a problem really...

Me too, just don't like the thought of them getting lost. Besides, its a digital world out there! :D

I assisted with the Pan Am and the credit card online thing can be a disaster....oh yea don't forget the expense imposed on the match for people to use a credit card. Linda goes by post mark and it does not do any good to overnight, that won't help.

  10. So who wants to take a guess how hot it will be come match time? If figure with the record warmth now, and the lack of winter before this....we should be in for an interesting summer!

I say everyone puts in a dollar, closes guess to temp gets the pot. :roflol:

I'm thinking the summer will be cooler this year. My theory is we are seeing temperatures staying closer to the median with less extremes on the hot OR cold side...I hope....a guy can dream can't he?

Hot or cold , come what may, I'll being shooting at the Rock. :goof:

NOAA's prediction is that we have a strengthening La Nina going into the summer, which should mean above average temperatures for KY. ;)

No problem with cooling off, just find one of the caves....they stay about 58 degrees year 'round.

  11. ALL YOU AMATUER OR PROFESSIONAL COURSE DESIGNERS OUT THERE......

We would like to see some of your course designs to put into the match. If you submit a course design, you may see it in the match. Remember we have traditional bays as well as natural terrain.

Looking forward to see what you guys come up with. Please keep in mind that we may modify the course to fit into a particular area or scheme of the match.

  12. Wow, as others have said kudo's to an early decision!

Now my schedule is almost set...

    April looks like this;

6-7 Ephrata MultiGun in Ephrata, WA hosted by Pat Kelly and Carl Carbon...of course RO and shoot

    Travel straight to Vegas,

    11-15 USPSA Nationals...shoot and RO (I hope)

Travel straight to Liberty Hill, TX.,

20-22 Texas MultiGun Championships...shoot and RO (I hope, sent in app but have yet to hear back)

    Travel straight to Colorado,

    28-29 Colorado Multi-Gun Championships...shoot and RO for Mark P.

Head home and lick my wounds, clean the guns, reload, and change the oil in the truck. Now if my shooting buddy Bill Sahlberg and I don't kill each other before we get back and our wives haven't thrown our stuff into the garbage it looks like a good time

Living the dream! It will surly get me out of the house and keep the wife from pressuring me to get to the TO-DO list that I am into right now.

    Ahhhhh....Retired life!

    Busyhawk

I am not seeing the FNH USA match on the list anywhere......I think there is an EEO complaint in here somewhere!!!
