  1. As an avid trash talker the best thing you can do is do it back, but don’t get mad...men talk sh&$ constantly! It’s not meant to be hurtful, it’s just a trash talking...if you are the type of guy who doesn’t understand male behavior and only takes offense to it as a personal attack...then you probably shouldn’t have a gun

I think it should. Even if you may have to add a bit more powder to your hand loads due to the barrel ports, it should handle it handily. And reliably. Im not an expert on this but I see no reason why not.

I got the gun in a trade and really enjoy it. I haven't reloaded in years and don't want to spend money on the gun if I cant do major...I am planning on reloading agin soon though.

  3. I have a glock 22 with extensive work done to it.

    full weight/size magwell

    flat faced 2.5lb trigger

everything is stippled with the finger grooves removed and "hump reduced"

slide is lightened with glock 34 style cut on the top with a kkm barrel ported through the previously mentioned slide cut..

it is still a 40 s&w and I am not changing that...anybody know if it will still make major power factor reliably? the barrel is stock length

it has pretty much the same recoil as my current braked open gun...thinking about getting my delta point milled in and giving it a shot

So... for the second time in a row I was DQ'd at my 'first' match.

Which is fine... When I decided to take this up (50th birthday midlife crisis kind of thing) I resolved to treat it as a Zen 'the-journey-is-the-destination' thing. There's a lot to learn and these things take time. And the DQs were "just" forgetting rules (I mentioned "idiot" right?). It's not like I had a tantrum or hurt someone.

    BUT

What I've found, both times out, is that when the first stage buzzer sounds my mind goes completely blank and I end up simply forgetting to engage all targets.

I do the walkthrough, make a plan, watch what others are doing and evaluate their strategies against my own... I think I'm doing all the things.

But then I'm DOING it and can't remember my last name... let alone my fantastic plan.

Can any of you give me some tips?

have you considered the technique I refer to as "being a man"? it requires you to focus and get the job done instead of being violently shaking and nervous like a virgin on her wedding night....highly recommend you try it

Is it normal for level 3 matches (and others) to recognize class winners? As in of

you won all of M class, not just M limited.

yes, because uspsa has become the biggest damn special snowflake challenge...which is why they now allow women...heard the sorry bastards were sponsoring Hilary for 2020 too!

its all a big damn joke anymore...im out

So I a, creeping up on 50 and my eyesight keeps getting worse. Just had a eye exam and the optometrist told me I should really think about LASIK.

Currenty I am shooting SS minor and I am just not seeing my sights. So I am thinking about carry optics. I have a Glock 17, so I would just buy another slide with a red dot.

i was thinking a 6-7 MOA dot would be best, but having no knowledge on this, I welcome the advice.

Also, I am in CA so I am limited to 10 round mags come July. I get that is going to be a huge disadvantage, but it is what it is with our messed up laws in this state.

Just trying to figure something out so I can keep shooting.

    thanks

why buy a whole new slide? carver and a bunch of other companies will mill your current slide and re-coat it for $150

  7. If for precision only I would recommend the SSA-E or national match...I would never recommend a single stage for absolute precision..

single stage are great for fast and accurate...but not absolute precision in an AR setup...

I am fine with his statement.  The reason the US, for the most part, has remained a civil union of States, is because our constitution is very respectful of the individual State's rights.  That we have forgotten this crucial concept, the individualistic nature of our republic, and that we are leaning towards a unified federalistic system is a recipie for failure.  Our only Civil War was a result of Federlistic policies.  The ability to have States that do not buy into the touchy feelly, snowflake, transgender, homosexual agenda right next to a State that does, is what keeps us a civilized Union.  Move to whatever State suits your lifestyle, do not force manly men to accept girly men ideals and we will all be happy.

    Exactly!!

I hope you're not serious. If you are I volunteer to take up a collection to buy you a one-way plane ticket to anywhere outside the USA. Preferably somewhere extremely dangerous.

Even if you are joking, this posting should not be allowed.

Free speech shouldn't be allowed? This is why I don't associate with lesser states..if you can't respect other people's constitutional rights, then I have nothing for you.

i choose Texas because it's one of the last few saving bastions in the union that hasn't been neutered by liberal bleeding heart special snowflake types such as yourself, who are hell bent on taking other people's constitutional rights for special interests.

2016 Limited Nationals, 276 Limited shooters,  26 shot Minor.

Ashley Reuhark was 63rd, she is an 18 year old girl fresh out of High School, she is small said she can't handle the recoil of Major, so she shoots Minor and does pretty well,  beat a lot of higher classified shooters, she is an A shooter in Limited.

Why is power factor scoring a joke?

It's not just about bigger holes,  .38 Supercomp in open is major of and minor in single stack, same sized hole, lower velocity in SS and less recoil.

A 9mm 2011 shoots a lot softer than a .40 S&W, the 3 extra rounds in 9mm can make a difference between reloading and not in major.

You have to have more Alpha's with minor if you are competing against people shooting major.

How much more should USPSA be dumbed down for you?

Carry Optics has turned into cheap open, probably will have 2011's in CO before the rules are officially adopted.

USPSA has you brainwashed...keep drinking the KOOL-AID..

I would love to see guys like you shoot something legitimate, or even steel challenge....see how much you "fast charlies" count in a game of best(read: accurate)shooter..

you are rewarding speed over accuracy, and that makes you 7 flavors of stupid...

have fun with your crayons junior:D

There's a lot more to it than that.

For sure you can make just about anything work if you practice it enough. There is something to be said about aligning your technique so that it follows the same principles that govern the fundamentals of human movement. Does this make a big difference for an average B class hobbyist shooter? No, not really. Where it does make a difference is at the elite level where hundredths of a second can be the difference between winning and losing.

I agree..i switch back in forth...recently had a bicep reattached at the shoulder...It still hurts and fatigues and I have to switch to the bearable position mid match/range visit.

the problem is that the bearable position switches on me

How so? The top shooters, shoot Major in Limited. So who is this mythical "best" shooter, who's shooting minor and loosing? Why hasn't he switched to Major so he can win?

Just because someone wins your local match with less A's then you doesn't mean the system is broken.

believe whatever you want...but power factor is holding the uspsa back.

of course they conformed to major! what choice do you have? the reasoning behind major is even a joke "bigger holes means bleed out faster" if its so practical then why have major in open division? please tell me how all these open division handguns that cant even be traditionally holstered are practical?

its a complete joke...and it always will be....it just happens to be accepted by most.
