For the most part, all top GM practices a lot of dryfiring and they practice
the most basic shooting technique. we all already know what they are.
JUST HAVE TO BE DEDICATED AND DO IT DAILY!!!
the moment you dont practice, is the day they gain over you...
I think that is the difference.....

I have 1 STI race gun with 3 top end.
1) for steel challenge lightened to 9.2oz
2) for .22 marvel
3) lightened IPSC topend use for Major competion only in .38 super. 10.0oz.

I used to have a TRg 22 sako sniper rifle. group .50 inch at 100yrs out of the box.
I tried looking for a league to shoot and it was too boring. SOLD the rifle and got a RACE GUN. never looked back.
That is a nice looking rifle !! Nightforce scope? WOW I believe that is a $2000.00
dollar scope. VERY NICE!

shot this today..time 4.10 reshoot for fun and ended up with a 3.35 open I should have been more agressive on the draw..oh well
I guess i'll take the 4.10 for now.
GM times are 2.8 with max michael, and 2.6 with the world champ eric grauffel

I did hardchrome on my first open gun..waited until it was broken in.
after 2yrs, open gun started to jam and slide became loose. I decided to
fit a new slide. now the gun is 100% reliable again but I did it in white only..just need a scotch brite from time to time and she's brand new looking again. leave it in white. just my sugestion.

Ok. any thoughts on shooters sanbaggin the area2 match. I noticed that there is a specific competitor that wins the match every year and his time or I should say their times are the same and on some stages better that GM!! How can this be dealt with? I hate this and it is not fair for the other shooters.

Calling the shot for me is seeing the dot in rythem...if i'm off the rythem from one transition to the other, then I know that that shot didnt go where i wanted to. Its all about timing and RYTHEM...

I m insearch of the best load of sp2 powder.
my gun is Sti 5.5 schumann 2 baffle comp no holes. full 5.0 inch slide
my current load is n350 vv 7.3g 124 jhp zero winchester primers and 1.155aol.
i need a flatt sp2 load in MAJOR.

The Gun does make a difference.. besides the shooter and skills to be build up and learn, you need to take the gun out of the equation and have one build that is 100% reliable..

Say Matt, you mentioned that i have to have a new top end? Can I just have the Gunsmith fit All the old top end parts? this way its just a spare
slide..A drop in part? can this be done?
Say Alamoshooter, ever heard of AGI gunsmith course? preety interesting and a must to have so we as shooter understand how the gun works. I have taken machine shop courses in college and it looks like i can really build an STI 1911? got the course for $200.00. I now save money and time from my gunsmith.

if the gun is registered to you, I wouldnt worry about it.
just make sure that when putting it in your car, it is separate from ammo
and that the pistol is locked in a guncase located in the trunk.
look up uspsa.com and locate a club nearby? good luck I hear
JJ racaza is from N.J.!! and shoots at all the IPSC matches. H is a hell of a Grand Master.
