  1. Dzien dobry. I am wondering how long it'll be before we will be able to get Shadow 2s in the states.
  2. Trigger finger placement. I had to work through the same problem on my Glock 34. The problem for me was the part of my finger I was using to pull the trigger. When I used the pad near the tip of the finger my impacts would be low left out of the A zone consistently while doing Bill drills. The solution for me was putting more finger on the trigger (it is almost to the knuckle now) and now my hits are As. You should also be able to see the problem during dry fire using the drill "trigger control at speed" (I found it in one of Ben Stoeger's book) pay close attention to your front sight and you will see it dipping low left. Experiment with placement until the front sight doesn't move when pulling the trigger fast. Drill - aim at BLANK WALL not at a target, focus on front sight, at buzzer press trigger quick as possible
  3. I know they have caliber specific lasers that go in the chamber instead of hanging out of the muzzle. I tried the one that goes in the muzzle with less than awesome results.
  4. What billm67 said. I have been working on this exact same thing recently and found I had been putting too much finger on the trigger of my Glock. My impacts were fine when shooting slow but when I sped up I would push them low left (I am right handed). Now if I place the tip on my finger on the trigger just enough to disengage the safety it keeps the hits centered. Also if you haven't watched the Ron Avery triggerstripe drill video you may want to do that as well.
  5. I do have a 3.5# connector in and have done some polishing. I have used a LaserLyte while doing this drill and have seen it move vertically on the target when the trigger breaks but this seems to cease when I loosen up my strong hand. Good call on the video, I think I will try that. It seems to me that I have found out what happens when gripping too tight and I just need to back off a bit. This was just not a symptom that I was expecting.
  6. B class (just barely) shooting a glock 34 I have really been struggling shooting fast and accurate. I got to a point with my grip where i could hold the gun fairly flat and follow the front sight through recoil but when shooting fast my hits would sometimes be low even on 5-10 yard targets. I assumed this was from anticipating or slapping the trigger...and maybe that is all it but i am not sure. I have read the posts about gripping lighter with the strong hand so that you allow your trigger finger to move faster. However, are there more reasons to do this? It seems to me that even when dry firing, if i am gripping the gun tightly with my strong hand I can see the front sight dip when the trigger breaks and if i loosen my strong hand grip this no longer occurs. Am i on to something here or has anyone else experienced something like this? During my dry fire I have been practicing relaxing my strong hand a bit and gripping harder with my weak hand but would like to know if this really is a grip thing or if it is just trigger control before i invest much more time in it.
  7. I'll keep the dental health in mind. I had a checkup a few months ago so I think I am good but until I get it resolved who knows. The sun poisoning/dehydration was the first thing that I thought of. I always keep hydration in mind at when outdoors, that's one good habit I picked up in the military. I carry sunscreen in my range bag and sometimes I even remember to use it. So I think I have those covered. I still seem to have the problem at events that are only a few hours and when sun/heat are not a problem. So that is what led me to believe it wasn't those. I shot a Beretta 1301 awhile back and I really liked it. Seemed like it was about 2 lbs lighter than my SLP and still shot softer. My SLP is barely broken in though so I gotta stick with it for awhile at least. Thanks for the suggestions everyone, good stuff.
  8. Thanks for the link to the article. I will experiment and see what I find. Funny you should mention the chiropractor...I saw one for the first time on Monday and have already had a few adjustments. I am a programmer so I ride a desk A LOT and have been having some discomfort in my neck and back recently. So...what are the chances that this is what is causing my problem? I also shot a USPSA match on Sunday and still noticed slight headache (never noticed one previously) so it seems like it is not isolated to my shotgun. Maybe once I get straightened out and check my shotgun fit this issue will be resolved. (Fingers crossed.)
  9. Looks like i should focus on my technique. So is it just that if your stock weld is loose that this occurs? I suppose that makes sense. I could try another gun to see if it makes any difference.
  10. I never spent much time shooting shotguns until I started 3-gunning about 2 years ago. I find that during the match I develop a dull headache - pretty much just enough to be irritating. I believe it is caused by my shotgun as I can shoot a rifle a lot without having this problem. I also believe that it is recoil related and not from the report as I wear plugs and muffs and the problem still occurs. I do not find the recoil itself particularly bothersome, other than the headache it seems to cause of course, as I am shooting a gas gun (FN SLP) with light loads and I am not a small dude. I am assuming that I am doing something wrong - stockweld probably - but I have not had any luck fixing this. Has anyone ran into the same thing? Any tips on how to avoid this from happening would be appreciated.
  11. It took me awhile to find this reply, I didn't see that it started a new page. Whoops. This is a great picture, the different colors help illustrate where material can be removed. I had to stop removing metal from the front of my receiver once I encountered the magazine tube as I was unsure how to proceed. I was concerned that removing too much in the wrong area may cause feeding problems. From this photo it looks like a have a long way to go still and can remove a portion of the magazine tube to make it a little easier on my thumb. Thanks.

  13. Thanks for posting all the pictures. It's tough to tell but it looks like some of the material removed from the receiver would have been part of the rim that keeps the magazine follower from popping out into the receiver. If this is the case, did doing so cause any problems? Also, did you have to remove the magazine tube in order to make the cuts to the front of the receiver?
  14. Hello everyone, I found USPSA and multigun last year and am really enjoying the sport. I am doing OK but intend to become more competitive at my local club and bigger matches. I have found this forum to be incredibly helpful already so thanks to all you who have posted here. I hope I can assist someone in the future.
