Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Hello all, I recently came into possession of a 6 inch .38 Super wilson combat barrel. I also purchased an STI slide for the barrel. My question is I have an STI 2011 lower and would like to fit the barrel the only problem is that the STI frame has a cut for a ramped barrel. What do I do in this case? as the wilson barrel doesn't have a ramp. Do I need a new frame that doesn't have the ramped cut? or are there some sort of adapter blocks available? Any help would be appreciated. Cheers from Australia, Thang
  2. Thanks all for your input it is much appreciated. If it helps at all I shoot Fullbore (Palma) so my face is pretty close to the bolt. AR's are highly illegal in Australia since 1997 when some guy went nuts and decided to go on a massacre. we also can't own pistol with caliber over .38 without a separate permit and magazine over 10 rounds. i shot a few rounds into my Snail System and you are all right it does show signs of overpressure on the base. I have decided to pull the bullets just in case. Lesson learnt. I kind of like my face where it is
  3. Hello all, I recently loaded 100 .223 ammo. and have a question about OAL. load is as follows. 80 Gr Sierra match king 23 Grains of AR2208 Lapua brass The question is my sierra manual states to load the 80Gr SMK at 2.550" but like a moron I forgot to adjust my redding comp seater from loading from loading 75Gr Amax. so my OAL for the sierras is 2.385" Is this safe? I am paranoid about just shooting it and seeing what happens. I should add that the 75Gr Amax is longer than the 80 Gr SMK which is confusing me. any help would be appreciated cheers
  4. Hello all, I am sure this question has been beat to death but I can't find it. Does anybody know what Hornady states is the minimum OAL for the HAP 125 gr projectile? I can't find it anywhere. Cheers in advance
  5. Superdude, Cheers for the help. I really appreciate it. ADI AS30N is Hodgdon Clay's in your country. I am in Australia. ADI manufacture Hodgdon Clay's for the US market. but here its called AS30N.
  6. Hello all, I was wondering if my load will have signs of high pressure? The OAL is 1.230 is this too short? I ask because Sierra Projectiles are very short and this is the length i got to seat it reliably. Load is as follows. 4.0 ADI AS30N CCI 500 primer 115 Gr Sierra Sportsmaster JHP thanks for your input.
