I think it is a shame there is all this negativity around the shotgun. I don’t believe it is “outdated.” The Shotgun has lots of practical use and I would be so sad to see it chiseled out of 3 gun. While they do require a little work to make them easier to load, it is not an expensive improvement. It is easily done at home with a dremel. Pretty much all you need to buy is a tube and some caddies. And there are several reliable shotguns on the market. I do think the biggest problem with the shotgun is the time investment mentioned by Stealthyblagga. People don’t want to invest any time in learning the platform. They just want to pick up their guns the day of the match and run them like a pro. It is a shame to read all this hate of the shotgun because I think it is becoming one of my favorite parts of 3gun. It didn’t use to be, but I have been spending time learning the platform.
I remember the same comments being made about the new "Tactical optics " division that was just being introduced into matches some time ago when it was just irons and open.
Kind of ironic.

Take a look at the back of the firing pin hole, the hammer will peen over the hole making pin removal difficult.
That's where your spur came from.

How new is this LTE mark 7? How come I have never ready anything here on the Mark 7 "entry" level autodrive? This suddenly doesnt look so out of reach.. at almost half the cost I dont get why I have never heard of this? I wouldnt be cranking out no 100,000 rounds a year so it would seem to suit shooters like me more than the top of the line options. With a promo code that is running for another week I think it brings this auto drive down to under $1500.
Care too share the promo code?

I thought the match was the best yet, since Pete took over the MG nationals.
I was surprised at the RO's (not Mike P) reason given for not calling slug hits on the flash targets on stage 12
quote: "That would be considered coaching" even though they didn't need to be called.
It struck me funny as hell that was the standard (calling hits) for the other stages even stage 5 with 50 yards rifle flash targets.

I think its a great idea and a way to bring more shooters out.
That is the reason I added PCC in our Practical pistol matches, as well as our multi-gun matches this year.
shooters need to look at the big picture and encourage more people too get out and pull the trigger more often.

I have not had any issues with my JP trigger and light weight speed hammer using the red spring.

Tim - what year was the first Tri -gun challenge? 2004?
-
Rigger JJ knows what he is talking about , I use the dillon dies and case gauges the same way too and do not have any issues with stuck cases.
I do use DPMS barrels exclusively but chambers can vary in size.

Yes it is, providing it is unloaded, slung rifles are never to be loaded as per the stage description.
their is a link in post # 13. for the stage descriptions.

I have one also , it looks to be another quality product from POF
One thing I noticed is that the trigger is longer than a standard Mil spec.
I tried to install one in a DPMS LR 308 lower receiver but had to trim the tip
off to keep from touching the trigger guard.

The current case feed cam from Dillon has the improved profile, mine works great.

Thanks again too Pete and Carl , stages were technical but not a memory game. and not a track meet match either.
I hope it is still in Vegas next year, we had a great time and look forward to next year.

A #49 drill bit shank works well too.

How about using a coil spring pin like the M2 ?

Thanks euxx, I kept entering " 2015 Remington xxx"
makes it difficult if they change the name a little.

Practiscore doesn't list the match any links to the results?

Eugene hooked us up so the next Android release has it!!
At a recent match, we were discussing if that ability to see the next two shooters was available and perhaps we didnt know about it.
Thanks for the confirm, slowsure. I'm working with Russell on the issue as he's already issued 1 beta to fix it.
BTW, I'm new to the process so was just wondering, do you guys submit new feature requests to the same support email? It would be really nice if you could see the next 2 shooters, the on-deck and in-the-hole spots, while you're on the scoring screen. It's very common to be in the middle of scoring someone and have a shooter ask, 'who's next?' and 'who's after that?'. Maybe it could go in the top right corner. Right now, you have to complete scoring and back out to the shooter list screen to see that info.
Is next shooter list feature available for IOS devices yet?

Jared - I switched from the open front 771 mag pouches to the 773 closed front, mainly because the mags would fall out
if bumped, which happens a lot in multi gun or just bending over to reset steel targets.

I watched the videos, explain the Benelli button to me or hit me with a link. Benellis run so well that I'm leery of messing with anything to gain .5 seconds over a 12 stage match.
I think what open class terror is referring to is the little silver shell release button has been extended, so side of your hand activates the release as you are racking the bolt handle.
A good picture would clear this up.
Benelli M2 AutoLoad Lifter
in Shotgun - Technical

I believe it should, as the SBE lifter works in the M2
The SBE lifter is longer than the M2 so the length could be a issue with function.
