  1. I think I'm going to go with a Burris MTAC or Tac-30 for my optics.
  2. Okay, looking around they seem to be all out of stock so I think I may just go with a standard trigger and a JP 3.5lb. spring kit.
  3. So here's my existing list of items already purchased for my AR build. Please tell me if there is anything I'm missing. I know I don't have a trigger on there yet. Zombie Defense Lower Receiver Noveske Upper Reciever RRA A2 style stock JP LMOS Buffer JP LMOS Bolt Carrier Group RRA Upper receiver parts kit NC Rifle Length Handguard BCM Gunfighter Charging Handle (large) Ambi Selector Switch Rifle Length Gas Tube and roll pin Troy Low Profile Gas Block JP Extra Power Buffer Spring Full Length Buffer Tube (DPMS) Nordic 18" barrel Ergo Sure Grip What trigger should I get? I'm leaning toward the JP, but as this is my first build I wasn't sure if it came with everything I need. Thanks jr. 3 gunner
  4. Well when I went to buy it they had just sold out so I went for the JP intstead.
  5. I'm building an AR and need to get a bolt carrier group, I wanted to get the JP LMOS but don't have the money for it. Has anybody used the DD one and what is it like? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks
  6. If I install a 15 pound recoil spring will the gun still be legal for production?
  7. Okay thanks, that makes sense because my gun has only had about 300-350 rounds through it.
  8. I was at the range today with my Gen 4 Glock 34 trying out some 147gr American Eagle that I had bought and had about 6 or 7 FTE's. I'm thinking it could be the factory recoil spring in it, but I am by no means any sort of expert on Glocks. It fed the 115's I shot just fine with no failures. I'd really appreciate it if someone could give me an explanation because I'd like to shoot 147's for competition as they felt significantly softer recoiling than the 115's. Thanks
  9. Yes, as long as the tape is only applied within the outlined area: IIRC, the photo is from the USPS rulebook. Thanks, I couldn't seem to find that and I looked for a while.
  10. Is the TruGrip tape or any of the others legal for production division? I looked at the USPSA rules, but couldn't find an answer regarding grip tape. Thanks
  11. I picked up some of the American Eagle 147's and am going to the range tomorrow so I'm anxious to see how I like it compared to 115's.
  12. I'm going to pick up a box of 124 & 147 and see how the feel. I don't reload yet but hopefully will start next year.
  13. Okay thanks for all the advice. I think I will just go and shoot production.
  14. I have a Glock 34 and want to get into some competitive USPSA shooting and from what I've been reading a lot of people are using 147gr bullets. My question is what is the benefit of shooting a heavier bullet and for a fairly new shooter like me would it matter? I will probably be shooting limited minor for a while until I get accurate enough to shoot production if that makes any difference in terms of best weight. Thanks
  15. Thanks, I may just get the MTAC since the price difference is pretty unsubstantial.
  16. Thanks, I guess I'm set in my scope choice!
  17. So I've been looking at what scope to get once I have my AR and have come down to the two in the title. My question for you is what one would you guys recommend? I like the BDC reticle in the Nikon, but I've heard a lot of good things about the Burris too. If there is another in the same price range (300-350) that you think is better please post that as well. Thanks
  18. I'm 15 and I pay for all my gear except my guns and ammo. My dad and I split the cost on that. FishingFool - are you pointing out the 3Gun holster? I like it the only problem is i'm left handed and they don't seem to carry any left hand models of it.
  19. I picked up a Glock 34 a couple weeks ago for my 3 gun pistol, but would also like to start shooting USPSA next year. What is a good holster that I could use for both? Budget is about $60, I was thinking about this, http://www.skdtac.com/Ready-Tactical-Holster-p/rdt.203.htm but if anyone has a better option please share. Also what is the difference between that one and their USPSA Master holster? Thanks
  20. I'm pretty sure Mark Buchanan owns 3 gun gear.
  21. I was looking at the Division rules for the USPSA multi-gun and saw that rifles have to be factory produced. Does that mean I can't build my own AR for competition? Or does it just mean that the parts I use have to be made in teh factory? Thanks
