Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. How about, "I certainaly hope that when I die my wife doesn't sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them."
  2. I had been very lucky. I had been shooting weekly with Chris Tilley and Martin Little. I had progressed from unclassified to B class in Open. In August of 2004 I was headed to Jacksonville to shoot with Danny Bone. It was raining and I didn't feel well. I took the the kids to the movies instead. By the end of the movies I was in pain. Saturday went by and Sunday dragged on. I went the the Doctor Monday. He send me to get a CT scan. They found a perforated colon. I was in surgery 20 minutes later. Three months later the 2nd surgery, over Thanksgiving, has been 3 times worse than the first. I'm connected to a wound vac. I haven't shot a match in 4 months. I'm really sore. I'm hoping to shoot by March!!
  3. I was astounded at how well 409 worked.
  4. I'm thinking a little dab will do me.
  5. Why can't I loctite the button on? They make a "blue" loctite that can be removed if need be. Is there a reason not to loctite the mag button?
  6. Anybody know what the threads are on a SVI mag release 4-40 or 5-40? Thanks I guess I've got a 50/50 chance at getting it right.
  7. Here's another one. I knew I had seen one somewhere. http://home.columbus.rr.com/jmaass/stage.htm
  8. There's got to be a library of stage designs somewhere, I just can't seem to find them. Could someone kindly point me in the right direction?
  9. Steve, Where are you getting your IMR? Can you give me the short version on how burn rates effect the equation?
  10. I'm 43. I have been shooting with Chris Tilley once or twice a week for the past month. I've improved 60 or 70 %. I'm interested in finding out what the limit of my potential is.
  11. My scope mount is on the other side. There doesn't seem to be much room for the brass to eject.
  12. Benny, You did the trigger job on this gun. I don't know if you remember or not you had just gotten over the Texas Flu? I've had the slide lightened but the comp if factory. Can you compensate for the comp with different powders? I'm planning on trying 115's.
  13. I think I'll give some 115's a try. Did I read somewhere that the lighter bullets moving faster tend to beat the gun up a bit more?
  14. Jon, it was stock..so I don't know the weight of the spring. I was never real fond of the variable spring weight of the Sprinco.
