  1. on my Match 10mm. Gots to say I love it to death. One thing that I think it needs it some of the sharp edges around the trigger guard smoothed out. Anyone know of any quality shops to that that and re plate the frame?
  2. Thanks for your continued help. My magazines came with a black follower, every pic I see they have a red one. Is there a difference?
  3. Not even a single round without the recoil reducer. I'll stick with the 20lbs spring then and keep an eye on it. Ugh now i'm all worried i'm damaging my gun.
  4. Is this the area your talking about? Does that look like it's hitting?
  5. More I shoot the less I care about the blemishes. It has the conventional barrel/slide. Some more questions for the willing. the 180gr run 100% with the 18lbs recoil spring. Think the 165/135gr rounds will hurt anything with the 18lbs spring? I see on Henning a different follower and spring which he says you can get another round in the magazine with. How does that work for my 10mm? Factory is only marked for 14 rounds. One last question for now, is the frame the same on 9mm Matches as it is on 10mm Matches? Like if I buy a 9mm match will the slide fit between the 9mm frame and 10mm frame?
  6. Picked her up on Friday just got to shooting her now. Shot 150 rounds 180gr and 100 rounds 165gr. I used the Sparco recoil reducer with a 20lbs spring for most of the days shooting. Did have 2 FTFs both with the 180gr, I think the 20lbs might be a touch to heavy or it was just breaking in. Plan to shoot more before I downsize spring. I have to say my brass is being sent into low orbit with the 20lbs spring. Out of the box trigger was set up perfect. A little pre travel with no over travel to speak off, Don't think ill ever change it from the way the factory had it. Trigger pull felt light and crisp, don't think I'll do anything to that ether. It was a little hard for me to pick up the front sight but thats that a fiber front sight it for! Now the only real issue with the gun is the frame has a few nicks and blemishes, almost looks like a used frame. The part that really bothers me is the area around the trigger pin. On both sides the low gloss finish is scratched up, like someone was trying to drive the pin and the punch kept jumping. Can anyone think of anyway to blend that in? Also there a few dings on the front rail which I can live with. I don't think EAA will do anything for this would they? Anyway here is a pic! Now I just gotta clean her off!
  7. I've read on this fourm some people are having problems with magazines for the match magazines. I would like to pick up a few extra for when my Match comes. What is the current best option? Thanks
  8. YES! I'll be holding off on sights then. I't love a set of fiber optic front and rear for the Witness. TAKE ALL MY MONEY.
  9. You know what i'd pay good money for? A rear fiber optic sight to match your front one.
  10. Yeah lets seem em! Also it looks like you have to mod hogue grips to fit. Any info on that? Why does it seem like your always replys to my posts.
  11. Thanks, they look sharp but that half inch shorter kills the look for me. Besides the factory grips what other options are available in wood? Also anyone have the wrap around hough style ones for the Match?
  12. Thinking this would look sharp, anyone got any pictures of the walnut grips on a match? I'm thinking of picking up a pair of the factor style ones.
  13. They sell guns on their site? Ohh no sorry, reserved one with another site. Said it be a wait for 10mm but the .40 is in stock.
  14. I hope your right. Im about to just email the site and ask them to just send me the in stock 40 match and get the stuff i need to convert it to 10mm.
  15. Website has been down for 24 hours. Never a good sign.
  16. +1 for discountgundealer.com Emailed em about a 10mm Match. Got right back to me and let me put a down payment on one. Still waiting in it but it's only been a week. The customer service is fast tough.
  17. I ended up reserving one at discountgundealer.com. They where real good with the email and promised I'd get first dibs when they come back in stock.
  18. They dont seem to have the 10mm Match in stock.
  19. Went to my local dealer. He said he can order me a Match 10 but cant promise it will have a rail on it. How do I go about finding one with a rail?
  20. Thanks, also learning the roped on hand loading and plan to try out a few different types of bullets. Please take pics if you can
  21. Ah thanks, What spring should I use with the recoil reducer?
  22. Thanks I'll check that out. One question on the setup, does the new guide rod come to the end of the slide? Like is the guide rod hole of the slide filled with it closed? Anyone got any info on a rear fiber sight? I'm gonna head over to my dealer and lay down my money to get my self one today And for the 22# spring its right on the wolfs website. I do plan to run full power loads all the time.
  23. Thanks for the fast replies. I got very used to a 3 dot fiber sight that I have on a few of my current firearms and would like to have it on this one. Is there a rear set out there? For the Sprinco Recoil reducer, is that replacing the guide rod? I do plan to run full power loads. I think I read 22# lbs sprig is recommended. Is that not enough?
  24. Thinking about picking up a Witness Elite Match in 10mm. Few questions, I see here they have the iFiber Fiber Optic Front Sight which seems to be the ONLY after market front sight for this handgun. Which I'm ok with (rather night sights but not a deal breaker). So if I got the iFiber Fiber Optic Front Sight what sighs to I get for the rear that match? Second question, what do you guys recommend for refinishing the gun? I know the blueing comes off fast on the slide and truth be told I never liked two tone gun. Like to black out the whole thing but with something a little nicer then duracoat. Thanks!
