I just picked one of the 22 inch models up. It was "used" at $499. The guys at the store said they didn't think it had been shot yet. Was still in the plastic wrap. I jumped on it.

What caused the time difference? Actually having a random time a few minutes after 9:30 EST is probably more fair as long as your ready for it. As long as your ready for it. Would have been nice to know this in advance. 9:30 should be 9:30. Not 9:34, wondering what to do clicking back and forth and wondering if you should hit "submit" again for the 19th time or not.

For four minutes I got either "Submitted to soon", or "HTTP server unavailable". Finally got through. Then I get an email this morning that I am on waiting list......

Thank you Zebra, I appreciate your feedback. The picture you have posted is the Gen 1, not the Gen 2, however they should be fairly similiar. From what I have read on the MI website, the Gen 2 is even lighter than the Gen 1.

I am thinking about using the new Midwest Industries SS GEN 2 15 handguard for my 3G upper build, with an 18 inch, rifle length gas system. Pros or cons? I would post a link to them, but am to new to the board. And while on the subject, why are 15 inch handguards so popular? To me it would just be extra weight, but I am fairly new to 3G. In my local "fun" matches I just run my BCM 16 inch mid length with DD Omega 9 inch rail.

Vortex does not have a 1-6x, nor have they announced one that I am aware of. All reports out of SHOT said nothing about a 1-6.
