I bought a used 686 that the cyl has been reamed and cut for 9mm with moon clips
Great revo for L-6
Yes it will shoot 38's but it bulges the case in the area where it's reamed for 9mm
I want to have another cyl fitted for 38's for IDPA and or classic icore so reloading the cases isn't problematic.
IT's a 686-6 SSR model so it has the newer style yoke, I'm not sure if the older style yoke and cyl can be used or not!
Any help is appreciated

If you want to keep the dovetail.
Get an EGW sight plate to hold the optic of your choice. 50 bucks done

Problems with MBX just like any other mag.
I believe I'm the out layer here though based on the usual comments about MBX
I've also had very poor CS from them but again seems not the usual here.
Call MBX and have them address the concern.

Use super comp brass
If your extractor needs adjustment (it may not) for the SC brass just tweak it a little tighter until it ejects well .
Lot of info on tuning extractor on this site and the web
The older sTI's that I've owned all ran fine with SC brass from the box FWIW

here we have several shooters from Canada, most have bought HiCaps and leave them friends or the club, a couple of open guys carry a rivet gun and a small drill, and drill out the limit rivets here and them replace them when the go home.
This
I've seen the guys from Canada do this more times than I can count.
Drill the rivet out , shoot the match, then re pop rivet the block back in before heading home!
Currently living in NY so I feel your pain.
The above is what I do when I go to a "standard capacity" state !!!!!

I’ve always loaded between 1.235-1.240 myself. I’ve had issues with going above 1.245 with not being able to rack out a live round on occasion.
Same here

Holosun is good stuff.
Sucks it's made in China ( kung fu sham demic)

124/5 gr bullets shoot best out of mine and it's a 9mm so recoil is not really a question unless you don't shoot much.
Then most favor 147's but 124gr/125gr bullets shoot more accurately out of my guns. FWIW

Chapmen 1313

Seems slide mounted is where/when most of the dots have problems
Frame mounted you DPP should good to go

Sig romeo1 6 Mia for both.
My co guns have no iron sights on them.
My carry gun has irons that co witness with dot .
I usually shoot the dot above the irons though

Start at the rear of the feed lips and lightly draw file to the front of the lips across the top. Where they make contact with the gauge.
It's a small amount.
Then stone everything smooth.

Yep that's it

I bought a couple for Midway of all places. They call them Apex mag extensions but I'm not sure if the Apex we know is who makes them.
BUT
They work and increase mag capacity by 3 if memory serves.
I bought grams spring after the first year to rebuild the guts FWIW
- Product #: 187971 Couldn't make link work but that's the product# on Midway

If you politely file the rear most portion of the feed lips, the mags with TTI bases will fit the gauge.
Lay the gauge down hort. and make sure they fit under their own weight.

E3 or sport pistol
SP is better than 320 due to easy availability locally

Thanks for the input.
I've worked on a few Caspians for customers and they seem fine.
I didn't or didn't remember which mags could be retro fitted for it.
Had knee replacement surgery and looking for a project and I've built enough 1911's on Caspains to choke a horse or several maybe!
Right now it's a thinking out loud project.
Thanks for everyone's input

Need some aggravation SO thinking of building a Caspian wide frame.
Which mags fit other than mbx.
I've heard tango with a notch cut out to clear the top of the frame but no sure where I got that information
Thanks for the help

Welcome
I think its 4.1 for a 124 or 5 gr bullet at 1.120 to 1.150.
Remember to check you pal for chamber length and mag length

I've been using 120 bayou .358 dia. And precision swagged 125gr in .358.
With e3 or wst at 132 pf.
Also some sport pistol at 132. But on 2to3 lbs of that so far.

Limited is a major division around my area

Loading mags
in Sig
Always start with empty mags and refill for production. Or a state requirement.

I think your presumption of what you "know" is the right thing is basically just wrong.
Order a case of whatever is on sale and go shoot. Good grief its half a dozen one 6 of the other. You could spend years worrying about trivial differences and still not come up with anything that adds a point on the scoresheet.Yeah!
And it made me smile reading it!
Focus on major?
