    Anyone using Xtreme 115gr HP 9mm w/ HS6 to making 9mm Major ?

    I have a 10k worth of Xtreme 115gr 9mm Double Struck/Plated Hollow Points that I'm planning on making into 9mm major for my open gun ... this is for only local matches and practice...

    Anyone out there using this combo ...

    -115gr 9mm Xtreme Double Plated bullets

    -HS6 powder

    -Small Rifle cci or winchester primers ...

    Whats your load specs ???

    please let me know where to start my load ... Thanx for the advise ...

    just an update ...

    here she is with final state ... I'm done with her... Aluminum STI grip , Thumb Rest silicone carbide grip done by myself ( 120grit ) , and change out the hammer and the trigger .... As usual all work was done by Jimmy Vidanes @ 1911 Speed Shop in Riverside, CA

    Just curious whether to get the 4 or 4g

    if your mags fit the gauge with a regular 4mm or you like different colors; then I would get the 4mm ... If you like black and your mags dont fit the gauge then get the 4g...

    Looks great, but I'm surprised you're allowed to own it in Calif ???

    Yup its legal here Komifornia.

    Theres certain models that are banned but theres tons of other AK's and AR's that we can have.

    Heres my first AK ...

    shes different originally a 20.5" Barrel Saiga 7.62 that was converted...

    Then she stayed like that while I collected parts for 3weeks... And finally met up with Garren ( my new ak gunsmith )...

    I had him cut down the barrel to 14.5", thread it to 14x1, re crown the barrel, install and pin my Battle Comp AKBC, de pinned my gas block, and fit my Bolton Gas block/front sight...

    After I got her home from Norco to test fire how she ran... She ran flawlessly ran almost as flat as my 3gun AR. I think its because of the action on the AK thats why she wasnt flatter or just as flat as my AR. Give me a break its my first AK ...

    Well either way I hand fitted the Ultimak Gas Tube rail system; so I can my mount my new bushnell TRS 25 thats coming on Tuesday...

    I'm pretty happy how she turn out and I'm a very satisfied customer with Garren's work... I have only a few parts thats coming; a Krebs custom safety, a RAM enchanced magazine release, and a Tapco shepherd's hook... I went about building a solid 300meter gun thats quick and fast to point and transition with and keep as much wood furniture I can...

    What springs and followers with Taran Tactical Base Pads

    Has anybody experienced last round being stuck in the mag or halfway fed with Taran tactical followers? I'm using TT basepads/spring/follower combo and it seems to leave the last round in the mag with the slide locked back....so 19 out of 20.

    ...140mm in 40sw......any input would be appreciated.

    You have to shave the corner of the follower to not active your slide stop ...

    theres a simple way of adjusting them to work ... This is what Taran does to them; when you have your mags tuned by him ...

    you need to grab a pair of pliers or needle nose ... And a soft cloth... And tweak the 2nd coil under the follower to lean towards the left soo it would ride more on the left side of the magazine inner walls.

    The soft cloth is to wrap around the coil as to not mar it ... Just tweak it dont bend it ... It just needs to lean alittle bit to the left ...

    ps ... with Taran's mag tuning I get 21rds but my springs havent set yet... So I'll wait maybe 3 months before I can get 21rds reloadable. Like my last set

    I finally pulled the trigger on a set of Briley Tube extension ... Ordered the +10 tube with the +1 and +2 coupler...

    The Kit from www.PowerFactorShooting.com comes with:

    -8 round or 10 round matte black magazine extension

    -Extension Coupler in your choice of a 1+ or a 2+ (1+ could get you 2 extra rounds, and a 2+ could -possibley get you 4 rounds, depending on ammo and shotgun)

    -Magazine Clamp with sling stud.

    -Magazine extension Spring

    -Magazine extension Cap

    -light weight Follower

    I currently have a JM Pro 22" which I modified by adding a Choate pistol grip stock, adding a Nordic Xl 1-1/2" end cap (with the stock spring gave me 10 in the tube ), a Choate Charging handle, a TruLock Modified Stainless Extended Choke and a ETA big tang safety...
