  1. Dawson recommends a special loctite product for their front sights, don't remember the number, but it is green, and they sell little tubes of it for reasonably cheap. That is what I used on the Dawson front sight on my Stock II, and I haven't though about it since the day I installed it about a year ago...

Good info, I will use Green if ever the Red loosen up. Thanks!

  2. I start out "preparing" as soon as the last shooter is finished, and everyone is

down range taping / setting steel.

That gives me about a minute to myself, reviewing the COF, and how I'm

going to handle it ( shoot it and reload), remove jacket if necessary, make

sure my mags are loaded and in their proper pouches, my hat is on or

backwards depending on the COF, my earmuffs are in the ready position.

At "Make Ready" , I've already reviewed the COF and I'm now ready to

    make sure I have :

1.a. put my muffs on my ears.

    1. turned my red dot to the correct brightness

    2. load the correct mag & make sure my other mags are in the right spot

    3. check a round chambered,

    4. slowly and deliberately holster - make sure it doesn't fall on the ground, and I leave the holster lock off

    5. review what I'm going to shoot first

    6. confirm with the RO any questions about the COF - tell him which way I'm going to run

    7. NOD.

    ^^This^^

Step to the line, load, holster, call on Jobu :goof:, nod for the beep and start blasting.

  3. On another note, what do most of you use for mag pouches? I was looking at 308 mag holders, but maybe a dump pouch is more the way to go? I know T&N make a mag pouch, maybe just go with theirs.

PM me if this interests you.

  4. I love mine, went through the same experience but shot way more shells the day before the match. Polished the internals that night and it ran 100% at the match. I tried the Briley extended choke but it won't screw all the way down, the Carlson extended Win choke worked better.

  5. I am running a blade tech with boss hanger and thumb screws and it has been the best thing since sliced bread. I have no problem with unwanted movement and the holster is not too tight. Hope you get it fixed

Same here, mine was perfect. Blade-Tech will make it right.

  6. I usually run 10.2-10.4 sith an almost identical gun and get 173-175 PF easily, if you're not compressing loads you can keep going up .1 till you find that "sweet spot" as mentioned earlier, once there, you will definitely know it!

    Boom!

My sweet spot is at 10.1gr @1.235 on a 650. MG 124gr JHP and WSR primers and average 170pf all day long, highest it went was 173pf in hot weather.
