  1. i use 3.6 to 3.7 of win 231 with a mg 147 cmj @1,115 oal nice soft shooting load and darn accurate in my glock 19
  2. sorry for the 2 blank post wasnt sure how to reply til i figured it out duh. just found a good shooting load for the 19 that i need to tweak but might entertain the thought of going sat to circleville my buddy goes every sat he is decent at those matches but he has an m and p. how will i be able to pick you out if i go flexmoney? thanks
  3. Yeah, seriously. I shoot jacketed bullets, not lead (which might make a difference). I have 10's and 10's of thousands of rounds through my Glocks. When I did used to clean them, I used Kroil...and let it penetrate. My usual routine...on my way out the door to a match... is to run a bore-snake through the barrel a few times to make sure a spider hasn't taken up home in my barrel. Then, add a drop of oil to the connector and roll out the door. Once or twice a year, I might break the gun down and get the built up crud out. One thing to look for is the hard carbon fouling that builds up around the barrel hood and the extractor. An exacto knife works well to get that fouling free. (It is hard to see...and easy to miss). Be sure not to leave ANY oil in the striker channel. It does more harm than good. The striker channel needs to run dry. I see you are in Mt. V. I was there just two weekends ago...swapping Glock parts with a buddy there (mscott is his forum name). Are you going to try to make the Circleville match next Saturday? (Rayner's, Briar Rabbit?) yes i know mike he was good friends with my uncle until he passed he has my uncle,s reloading press he wanted mike to have it . i spoke to mike on the phone when i was starting to reload for some advice .as far as the match i would love to go but dont feel i am quite ready yet . mike asked me to go sometome . small world eh

  8. thank you for the reply they ( dillon) are sending me a new machine said it would ship out wed . they have been very helpful and kind in trying to resolve this issue for me. what kinds of issue,s have you had in the 15 plus years of reloading with the sdb? i do like the machine though i take my time loading with it and maybe get 100 an hour i have maybe had it a month or so look forward to getting the new one setup just found a sweet load for my 19 that shoots well .thanks bill
  9. hello all what do you folks use to clean the barrel or bore of youre glock to remove the fouling ? hoppes etc , just curious thank you
  10. dilllon sent me the parts overnite and paid half of the shipping to my surprise i thought that was great of them to do, primer issue resolved still working on the case to powder funnel issue with them . thanks dillon

  13. yes it is bolted solid to my workbench went to adjust the piece under the shell plate and snapped one of the 2 screws i freaked out but manage to get it out ok and emailed dillon to get replacements by saturday to load some rounds for a plate match. beforehand they sent me a nice email on how to adjust the bottom black piece gotta be careful when you tighten those wow .it appears they are meant to break if over tight,we will see i hope they can get them to me even offered to pay for overnight shipping and the bolts just to get them here before saturday we will keep you guys posted thanks for all the replies. so far they are trying very hard to work with me if they can get me those parts before saturday they will be the bomb
  14. Email memy press i have had it only 1 month.set it up had issues with primer feeding correctly among other adjustments i had to make to get going. started the primer feeding problem again among station 2 the case not meeting correctly with the powder nozzle this has been that way since the first day. the primers were turning sideways and would not feed and the case is to far to the back of the press and when i bell or flare the case it binds and on the upstroke i have to really push a bit harder to get the case from the powder nozzle. rest of the stations do fine .called the first time the rep was friendly said to use some scotch brite i mentioned it was a new press . second call the rep very nice mind you said to resize the case move it to station 2 insert and then tighten the horizontal allen did that no change and still was having the primer issue along with that.then sent an email very detailed with pics showing the issues of primer feed tube and case not meeting station 2 . well i took off the primer feed tube and had seen the small blue plastic piece was distorted and asked for a new one. the reply i got back was send me youre address and they never addressed the other issues at all just asked for my address that was all.so today after several more calls and emails with 2or 3 different people they leave me a vm on how to adjust the shell plate. are you serious a vm no instructions to email nothing. dont get me wrong i like the press and the are friendly yes on the phone and seem quick to send you 20 cent plastic parts but my real issue is with the case and station 2 and to best of my knowledge there are no instructions in the manual of the shell plate adjustment. i have attached a pic of the case, like i said fixed the primer feed on my own by taking it apart . not to impressed. sorry but 4 emails and 5 calls you would have resolved this issue. thanks for reading this post

  19. is that normal for a glock to be towards the top end of load data to function properly? and excuse the green bean question but what about a 124 gr projectile? also have a 2nd gen 17 but have not tried any of my reloads in that i thought i would focus on one at a time . any thoughts ?
  20. sorry guys long day at work . the manual is speers latest version 14 . the projectile i am using is a 115 tmj round nose . buddy is bringing a chrono this sunday when we go to the range i will bump it up .1 and load a few by .2 and check it out. thank you for the input it helps alot
  21. i met an old timer at the range tonite he mentioned with the 231 it would take 4.9 to 5.0 to cycle correctly
  22. sorry thats 4.7 grains, speer states max is 4.9 i think hodgen might max out a hair higher than that
  23. no access to chrono cycles fine with factory ammo ,, sometimes stovepipe , sometimes stays in chamber gen 3 fairly new piece about 200 rounds of factory ammo and about 20-25 round of my reloads through it working up to the max slowly like everyone else getting a feel for reloading
  24. read alot of good stuff on this site need help on a load for glock 19. currently using 231 with 47 grns 115 tmj oal of 1.135 rounds still wont cycle open to suggestions pls. thanks
