Did the site owner, admins, or moderators ask you to do this?
If not, why are you? Especially when the guy whose name is on the door says "About 70 members have donated since I started this "drive." Let's leave it like this... I think if everyone just donates whenever and whatever they feel like the forums are worth to them, we'll be fine. I really, really want to keep the forums they way they have always been - ad free, and the members who have donated so far have made that look like it that will happen."

1. In purchasing a new 34, is there an advantage with the gen 4 over the gen 3? Reading here, there seems to be a consensus that the 35 really benefits from the gen 4 spring/recoil assembly.
Wondering if that follows with the 34. (I see no advantage other than the backstraps on a gen3 v. gen 4 17 or 19)
2. Has anyone used (pro or con) the full length guide rod with the non captured spring that's available at the glockstore?

"in the red" means you owe money on operations (from the old days of red ink) or operating at a loss
"in the black" means you're covering expenses for the year, running at a profit (using black ink). That's where the term "black friday" comes from--when a business would go "into the black" for the year because of massive sales the day after thanksgiving

I have the ATI 16" rifle variant of the NFA, and two friends have the JP GMR-13.
First, yes there is a huge difference between them in stock configuration. The JP recoils straight back with no muzzle rise, so if you double tap 8" steel at 25 yards, the second round will always hit unless you flinch badly. The ATI has a bolt slamming action combined with muzzle rise that moves the barrel up and to the right for right handed shooters making quick followup shots more difficult. The difference in felt recoil between the rifles comes from the difference in buffer configuration and muzzle brake. The ATI has a buffer that is barely enough to slow the bolt blowback, so you get a slamming jolt with each shot. The JP comes with their silent captured spring system which makes a very noticeable difference. Rather than go to a heavy 9oz buffer and .308 spring in my ATI, I added the JP SCS and removed the weight from my bolt carrier to work with the SCS system. This definitely helped, but in side-by-side comparison today it still has more muzzle rise than the JP. The ATI has a birdcage style comp which basically has no lower openings so it's actually a bit of a brake, but poor in comparison to the JP tactical brake on the GMR-13. I will be adding that next so I hopefully it will take care of the last bit of muzzle rise.

Thanks for that info! Please be sure to check in once you've got the JP brake installed

Congrats on the M3K purchase. I have been using one for a few months now and really like it as well. Very reliable with "most" shells, can't get mine to run the Fiocchi JM 3gun shells for anything..You can open your loading port more to help with the quad loads. You can do it yourself or do as I did and send it to MOA Precision and have them do it. Not an M2 but for the price I don't think there is anything better.

Dillon case lube or One Shot. Both have served me well.
Is there a down side to using One Shot or Dillon Case Lube that i'm missing, other than cost?

For those that have shot the JP GMR-13 as well as an NFA (be it PSA, Spartan, ATI)--the JP website says "The end result is a system that cycles with virtually no recoil."
Is there a difference (reduction?) in the felt recoil impulse between the JP and the NFA variants?

Thanks guys, I did find a shoot straight shop, very nice and great selection, but seemed a bit on the expensive side, though that may be a regional difference from back home.
oh, they're always expensive, and have been for the last 25 years.

I use it all the time. gun talk, match info, coupon codes, sale information--i use it as a reliable news feed that i've specifically tailored to my needs.

i've represented plenty. there's no shortage of crappy construction here.
check how much your insurance would be operating on the Front Range--especially if you would plan to do multifamily

Folks, i'm new to the coated bullets and am re-starting reloading after a 20 year hiatus. If cost was identical to plated, would you choose coated over plated? (Again, assuming cost was identical).

The man himself said the Lanolin was optional:
Sure--i suppose my original post a bit imprecise--I've read the language that it's optional. I'm just looking to see if folks use the lanolin, and if so, is there a benefit.
Thanks everyone for the replies so far.

the original formula called for lanolin. is anyone using this with the lanolin? without? first one, then the other? liquid lanolin is something i'm not sure where to get, and wonder if it can be omitted.
Thanks

Grumpyone,
since hipower jack clearly isn't going to answer (and thus we can guess at the clear answer)--did the site owner, admins, or moderators ask him to float this idea for a revenue stream? Especially given that the site winter has clearly advised expenses were covered?
