  1. ... bring your own dirt and bull dozer so they don't have to do a d@mn thing.

... make stage design range rules that all shots through shoot targets will impact the berm with margins for a little error. No one can control the person who shoots a round straight up into the air. Form a safety committee that reviews the stages before the matches to show them that you are actually planning to follow these rules.

    FWIW.

  2. One of our shooters posted a pretty good time on a field course a few matches back that everyone ended up trying to catch. The shooter broke to the front of the line, declared "I'm going first!", shot a great time, and promptly headed off to the bathroom to go to the bathroom. Afterward, only two people in our squad of more than ten posted faster times.

So ... when you gotta go, do you go faster?

  3. Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth

    And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;

Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth

Of sun-split clouds, — and done a hundred things

You have not dreamed of — wheeled and soared and swung

High in the sunlit silence. Hov'ring there,

I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung

My eager craft through footless halls of air. . . .

Up, up the long, delirious burning blue

I've topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace

Where never lark, or ever eagle flew —

And, while with silent, lifting mind I've trod

The high untrespassed sanctity of space,

Put out my hand, and touched the face of God.

  4. Hi Alvin,

still waiting for you to come and join our team for an eating of oysters and seafood on the mediterranean sea... ;)

Believe me, it's on my list of things to do.

    Until then ... :)

  5. My bad. I forgot that New Orleans is, or at least was, a major voodoo center in addition to being in a flood plain.

... that was my biggest problem with the Flood scenario. You would have to work in a super dome, broken dykes, people trying to disarm you per the mayors orders, and a Mardi Gras party at the end.
