    Glock 35 KaBoom!

Im glad i stop loading my lead and moly bullets now. since most of my job involves working on a computer i may be skrewed for awhile. I used Laser Cast bullets and black bullets and never saw any major leading after 300 rounds. maybe the fact that i was using such a hard bullet and shooting minor helped.
  3. Makes since... I was just curious about it.
  4. Does anyone have a TiN coated Barrel, or know of a place to buy them already coated?
  5. Glock 35 4lb. reduced power striker spring reduced power safety block spring extra power trigger spring 13lb. Recoil spring Stainless steel guide rod Lightning Strike Titanium Safety Plunger 180 laser cast, 3gn bullseye, 1.135" oal Blade tech doh CR speed belt CR speed mag pouch Horrible night sights
  6. Thanks both of all for the advice. I'm going to try and convict a guy I work with to sell me his dillon that is collecting dust. He bought it from a sheriffs dept and you turn on a switch and it starts spitting out rounds. It is horribly accurate.
  7. Even with the powder puffs I was able to hit a steel plate at 35 yards.
  8. I had some VERY light loads feed during the steel match that made name have to strip down the Glock to make sure it didn't get stuck in the barrel. You could barely hear the primer go off and you saw a puff if smoke. I loaded sone rounds last night and measured every 5 rounds and out of 50 loads i had 15 that loaded at 2.9 gr. Now my oal was surprisingly all over the place. I was going for 1.135 but I was getting 1.134-1.14. I'm assuming that was the reason for the Very scary light loads due to the pressure. These were all loaded using a lee pro 1000. Do y'all have any input on what cause the painsy powder puff loads. I rather not hear I shouldn't have bought a lee
  9. Why is it that multiple people joked about me loading 40 minor. I was at a steel match and I wanted to use my 40 minor loads. I loaded them mainly to shoot production in USPSA, but since I loaded 500 I decided to give them a try today. People kept saying are you loading minor to save powder, should have went major loads, can't believe you are shooting minor loads. I told everyone of them that my plan is going minor out of my g35 for production during a USPSA match. I dont get the problem. I figure if I could shoot mostly alphas why does it matter. My loads are running at about 730 fps and it is smooth as can be.
  10. I ordered my laser cast from midway and got it in two days if that is fast enough for you ummagawd
  11. Oh yea and out of that 200 I had 4 bad rounds from me not seating the primer well. How can any other loader be that much better
  12. Rfwoobly- When I got off work today and in a better mood than last night I decided to give it another shot. I converted on if my work benches in the garage to my reloading bench. Let me tell you it made a big difference. I busted out 200 rounds in no time. The solid workbench kept the lee running smoothly. The bench is my old kitchen cabnets and countertops that I lined a walk with. I am now a believer in the lee pro 1000. Think I may go load another 200 so I can do a steel match and idpa
  13. Sounds like I should have used clays instead of bullseye. I load 180 laser cast with 3.0gn of bullseye at 1.135 oal and wow so light. I wanted to use some titegroup I bought but couldn't get an accurate powder charge. All I can say is thanks handgun gunner magazine for such a great load recipe.
  14. I just got my lee pro 1000 set up tonight and was already nervous from all the people sayi g it's a bunch of junk. Well after a painful set up I was pumping out 40s. Powder thrower was dead on accurate which was surprising. About 70 rounds into it I had a jam. The primer didn't seat just right and had to force the bullet free on the last stage. After that it all went to hell. The primer pin was not going down far enough to load a primer. I only noticed it because I had powder on my table and realize I had 3 rounds with out a primer in it. Next the auto indexing kept getting off. Spent 40 minutes trying to get everything going smoothly again and managed to get 5 more rounds out. Finally I unmounted the reloader tootk it all apart and put it in the box where it will remaining until I find something different. I have only had a lot of experience loading rifle rounds on a single stage rcbs and was very efficient with it. Maybe I will go back to it. To bad I have a steel match this weekend and only have 90 rounds of my wonderful 130 pf loads.
  15. Thanks for all of the responses. I have stocked up on wwb. Uhave also ordered everything to go ahead and reload for 40. I realized that I had just spent 130 on factory ammo and i could have bought a new lee pro 1000 set up for 40. I rather not have to change die plates from .45 to .40 bc my dad shoots just as much 45s as I will 40.
  16. I bought several boxes of wwb and I will see how that goes for me. I need some range time with the G35 anyway and could use some more brass.
  17. Alright thanks for the info. Do think if you had - .300 tall front sight it may have worked for you?
  18. The sig makes looked just like the gsg mags but I doubt the are cheap
  19. Is anyone used or heard about these sights Kensight Adjustable Target Rear Sight Glock 17, 22, 24, 34, 35 Steel Blue http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct/default.aspx?productNumber=750466
  20. I I would have already changed it out, but I'm waiting Yo shoot s friends 35 to see if I like his setup. My G35 had night sights on it right now I want to put on a bomar target sight.
  21. Recently switched over to a Glock 35 from my 1911 fetish this week. Ordered my limited / production rig tonight, and now I'm pumped. Now it's time to see what other goodies I should get. I wemt si,ple and cheap with the rig. Figure I should go ahead and star mainly in production and gradually figure out what mods I want to make. With the gun and other stuff. I got a blade tech DOH, CR belt, CR versa mag pouch and #13 recoil spring. Only bought the spring bc the gun came with 2 steel guide rods and 2 springs and the OEM. Wasn't sure about what springs I had so I just bought a new one. Time to have some fun
  22. Well I guess I will have to suffer until I get my reloads. I'm sure it cant be as bad ad shooting my 1911 with hot rounds at wild hogs
  23. You now what I think I may just buy a new chronograph and buy a box of every factory ammo and post my findings. I like the test you ran. Hopefully my buddy and I will get into reloading 40. Thanks for the help
  24. D Roc - That's pretty cool. I can't believe how well the comp works on a .22. It also looks like the iPad does a pretty good job with video editing. D Roc's video: Thanks I am liking the gsg 1911. I will probably buy a few more so friends and other ppl can enjoy them at the range. For the price I will probably buy 2 more of the normal ones and one with an accessory rail. ****Side note**** yea the iPad did do an alright job. I was in the market for another laptop but instead the iPad is working great for everything so I used the laptop money for a glock 35 to start competing with.
