  1. I found this guy used at my local gun shop and bought it. Really like the squared trigger guard. I want another in 9mm. Problem is, this creature is very different from the current Duty One being shown on the STI website.

Anyone know how long ago this style was made? Anyone have leads on one in 9mm?

    Thanks!

  2. Hey Sig, if you're listening, you've got one hell of a pistol here. Don't screw this thing up by offering it in diamond plate rainbow bright periwinkle platinum plating with engraved girly swirls. Leave it alone.

God I hope they don't do this.

  3. Yep. While touring POF's new facility a couple years ago I was shown a blown up rifle that had been sent in for "warranty" by an irate customer.

Seems there was a .300BLK case still stuck in the chamber. Ooops!

There ensued a discussion which is exactly what is described in the article and was confirmed by POF's own testing at the time.

    .300BLK in 5.56 chamber = bad juju...

What did POF do after discovering this?

  4. That is a horrible situation. $421 for a slide mill is ridiculous anyway. Next time check out: http://www.landmprecisiongunworks.com/. I've had them do a Glock 19 for me and it was perfect. The owner answers the phone.

I think its possible CC has grown pretty big, maybe too fast, sacrificing the ability to pay attention to smaller details.

If you are an NRA member, you might have $1k-$2k of insurance for guns (I forget, but they advertise it). Also, when my firearms were stolen out of my friends vehicle his renter's insurance covered it. I don't know if that applies in this sitation though.

    Good luck.

  5. I'd recommend against the Magwell grips. There is a step between the lips and the actual frame which gets hung up on me a lot. I'm sure filing/dremelling the frame would fix it....I just wouldn't want to do that.

  6. Don't know about model changes. We have a SIRT for our classroom where we have 3-5 classes of 10-30 people running through it every weak. I have probably put 10,000 pulls on it myself.

No trigger change or issues. Mag release is now sensitive (slight touch, mag will shoot out). The wires have come loose before as well. We just soldered them.
