Being run in IPSC. This thing looks fast..

Yep. While touring POF's new facility a couple years ago I was shown a blown up rifle that had been sent in for "warranty" by an irate customer.
Seems there was a .300BLK case still stuck in the chamber. Ooops!
There ensued a discussion which is exactly what is described in the article and was confirmed by POF's own testing at the time.
.300BLK in 5.56 chamber = bad juju...
Mick
What did POF do after discovering this?

What chassis is that?

I use the ZEV Ultimate kit. I hated it at first (used to a way stronger reset for double taps etc.) but once I got 200ish rounds through it, it seems perfect.

Reading every post
Ok. They showed up at Eagle Imports on Monday. They are shipping them as fast as they can.
This is the first full batch that arrived.
I will ask my contact distributors.
Street price I'd guess high 8 to low 9 though not sure.Hope you''ll be able to do a first impressions review with pictures. Been waiting too long for this gun!

Who did the cut for the RMR?

Just checked my well "loved" Gen 2 Glock 17. Frame tails look perfect. I wouldn't be concerned unless there is a function issue.

Anyone have updates on distributors? Are these out in the wild yet?

Any clues on pricing for X-Calibur model?

Hey Dan! Check out Hogue's options: http://www.hoguestore.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=23_44_543_709

That is a horrible situation. $421 for a slide mill is ridiculous anyway. Next time check out: http://www.landmprecisiongunworks.com/. I've had them do a Glock 19 for me and it was perfect. The owner answers the phone.
I think its possible CC has grown pretty big, maybe too fast, sacrificing the ability to pay attention to smaller details.
If you are an NRA member, you might have $1k-$2k of insurance for guns (I forget, but they advertise it). Also, when my firearms were stolen out of my friends vehicle his renter's insurance covered it. I don't know if that applies in this sitation though.
Good luck.

Thanks, are the clues to who will have them? So many great new pistols hitting the market.

Here's a link for reference: http://algdefense.com/glock-alg-flared-magwell-afm-ddc.html
Can't speak towards the magwell, but their AR15 trigger and mini-comp I own are top notch products. I called them for something specific and was transferred to the right person instantly. You might want to just call them to see about compatibility.

Anyone have idea on price/availability?
-
I'd recommend against the Magwell grips. There is a step between the lips and the actual frame which gets hung up on me a lot. I'm sure filing/dremelling the frame would fix it....I just wouldn't want to do that.

Any updates? Hows the P dog hunting this time of year in Dalhart?

Any updates on the X Calibur?

Have you talked to Marvin Pitts about the issue?

ALG Single Chamber Brake: http://algdefense.com/single-chamber-brake-scb.html
1.6oz IIRC. I run it with my 5lb build with the JP LMOS and Taccom buffer. No movement at all!

I was very strongly considering picking one up. Stuff like this reminds me of my rule: Never buy the first generation of anything.

Don't know about model changes. We have a SIRT for our classroom where we have 3-5 classes of 10-30 people running through it every weak. I have probably put 10,000 pulls on it myself.
No trigger change or issues. Mag release is now sensitive (slight touch, mag will shoot out). The wires have come loose before as well. We just soldered them.
Any insight on my STI Duty One?
in 1911-style Pistols
Posted · Edited by thegeneric
I found this guy used at my local gun shop and bought it. Really like the squared trigger guard. I want another in 9mm. Problem is, this creature is very different from the current Duty One being shown on the STI website.
Anyone know how long ago this style was made? Anyone have leads on one in 9mm?
Thanks!
