Neil, you won't need them until AFTER the B.O. Also you might want to look at what Kurt and I use they're cheaper and defy breakage. i can have Kurt bring some over and we'll install them AFTER the B.O.
See you soon buddy..................8 days left!!!!!!!!

Guys
I have recently purchased a new M2 & noticed that compared to my friends older M1 feeding the shells into the magazine is a lot harder, also the carrier latch on my M2 is shaped differently at the end nearest to the magazine compared to the one fitted to the M1 & make's pushing the shells past the latch much harder, how can I get around this ? will an M1 carrier latch fit an M2 ? Is it the carrier latch spring ?
As a result of this I have to run a stiffer magazine spring than my friends M1 in order for the gun to function properly which slows down my reloads !
Sugestions Please

I just paid £795 here in the UK for a 24" M2 field for comparison.

+1 With Merlin
I have the M2 field with a 24" barrel & a nordic +5 mag tube, the mag is 1/2" shorter than the barrel & it shoots sweet.

I needed to modify my Gold to get it working with these.
I have been shooting my Gold for the last year & have tried many things to get it to run with slug but without sucess, I would be interested to know what you did to yours ?

Carl, I had to remove the spacers from my CHOATE, NOT Cali Comp work, shell holders to accomidate the S&B slugs and even then it is a bit dragy ( I run a .050 spacer in the Choates to prevent Federal and Remington shotshells from turning side-ways and falling out of the 6 holder after I have grabbed 4 )
Are you going to Mesa?? I would be happy to get together with you and go over what you can expect over there! Look me up. Kurt Miller
Hi Kurt
I have a choate carrier on my desk here & the 28g S&B slugs are loose & even rattle a bit.
Carl your in the best hands Kurt just cant keep away from Europe
See you in June amigo, by the way I picked up the M2 yesterday & off to the Range Saturday with it so ill be speaking Italian from now on

Hi Carl
S&B special slug in 28g & 32g loads are 60mm long (unfired) & will fit in Choate ammo carriers nicely.
I dont have any S&B target loads right now so cant give you the length.
Where is the match ?

We had a stink about that 520 rule a year or so ago. Unless the BOD is going to change it the current rule that's on the website is...
AFAIK that 520 (or similar) rule is in effect with IPSC.
IPSC now have a PF of 480 for shotgun, I believe this was changed in an effort to encourage the use of the 20 gauge !

WHEN TESTING FOR SHELL CAPACITY, WE RECOMMEND USING ONLY DUMMY ROUNDS.
Where is the fun and sense of danger in that !
Much better to use live shells & get a bullet proof garage door instead !

TRUBL, will you be making a bolt handle for the Benelli Slayer? sorry I mean the Extrema2?

I love it ! A Brit showing you guys something cool with a gun - Oh the irony !!!
Martin "Supa Nova" Davies does it almost the same except he pulls four rounds from a Cali Comp Works carrier weak handed for a 2X2 load in the same way.

Lee, birdshot is for sissies, on aerial clays just use that good ole BUCKSHOT.
Trapr

If you can save a few bucks the 24" is fine. If you're paying the same money for both, get the 21".
I have a 24" M2 field and paid $800 on sale at Sportsman's Warehouse.
I just bought a 24" M2 field over here cost was £795 thats about $1600 I guess, cheapest I could find, rip off britain again !
Kurt's been spending a lot of time in UK/Europe in recent years & the 24" barrel is the shortest we can have here in the UK so that maybe why. So if you plan to travel to some foreign matches a 24" is not a bad idea.
Im hoping to get across to the US for a few matches in the future with our Mikey

Neil, it was the blue pills you guys get from Johnny H.
Now I understand They can really give you "hard" features

thats like asking whats better the old classic Corvette or the new ones. Both are really good, both have thier fans. You won't go wrong with either one.
I have an M1, and would'nt trade it, but I'd like to have an M2 for a second.
Trapr
Merlin, as always yuer ronge, the chokee, was choking an M1, but why would you want to perform a malfunction "on demand"
Hi Trapr
Hope your well mate, I just Ordered myself an M2 & should pick it up very soon, I plan to keep the Browning but looking forward to getting the Benelli. See you in June for a beer or two.

I saw a similar conversion to the one requested somewhere, the return spring was moved to operate around the magazine tube on an 1100 it pushed on the action tube & the action return spring & tube from inside the stock could be removed & any stock fitted including pistol grip only types.
I will try to remember where I saw it.

Newbie M2 question !!!
Does M1 bits: mag tubes, mag collar, ext bolt handles, ext safety and speedbars etc fit the M2 or are the dimensions different ?
Cheers !
Sorry mods - can you move this to the technical thread - sorry !!
Mike
Benny says yes cos I read it on another thread somewhere, learn to search !
Been looking at one myself, I hear Steve B has a new one, guess thats why your asking !

A picture tells more than a thousand words but at the beep you pulled the chair release lever then retrieve your option 2 loaded gun (magazine full empty chamber) from the rack built into the seat beside you then rack it & shoot the targets, easy !!!!!
