I shot my cz this last weekend. shot it with some old game loads I had kicking around that were probably from the 70's. had one jam. ftf. lip of the shell caught on a sharp edge between barrel/receiver (where the extractor cut is) . I will break the edge with a dremel.
I also have to shorten the stock a bunch to get my short arms able to do a strong arm reload. the ati stock might be in my future...

don't sweat the manual.... you aren't missing much! very generic and only a few pages pertain to the 712. if u can't find it online I can scan it for u.
scored a CZ712 at my local gander mountain (Appleton, WI) tonight. On sale for $285!!! i got the last one at my store, but others might want to check around at their local stores. Cheapest I found it online was 390 (cheaper than dirt) and 408 w/ free shipping @ buds gun
looking forward to breaking it in!
Nordic has the cz 712 listed on there site now. should take out any guess work!

I found the parts list and schematic. I don't think I would ever find enough US Parts to make it a go.
glazer, are you refering to 922r compliance? what mods are planning that will put you over?
forgive my ignorance, as I have only metallic reloaded, but can you improve your dimensional accuracy of shotshells by careful shotshell reloading? to me, this would seem to be the next step in shotgun reliability during matches.
Looking for 3 gun, IPSC or similar events in NE wisconsin. seems to be a void in this part of state!
I am a novice shooter with lots of bad habits, but willing to learn and have fun shooting.
