  1. First. Smoky Bear. No more BBs. Second. Who could say No to "stranded and beerless" travelers from wetter regions. Thanks for coming up. MHearn
  2. Charles Thanks for the note. We missed you. We're glad to have you representing Area 6 with the USPSA. Results are on USPSA and will be on the match website along with pics and video as soon as I catch up on my sleep. A few special thanks: Woogie, Range Master and all around problem solver and go to guy. (Would not do it without you) Bill Noyes, Stats (Couldn't do it without you) Roger Cash, Designed and built the Rifle stages among other things with Tammy's help (Nicely done) Tammy thanks for the hug. Jeff Cramblit, Designed the shotgun stages (Your a very evil man Jeffrey) To all the other ROs and Sponsors, thanks for the support. MHearn Match Director
  3. Both the Match Booklet and the Squad List are posted on the Match Web Site. Weather is perfect. We still have slots available. Come join us. MHearn
  4. We're ready. Come on over. There is some shooting to be done. Word of caution. There is some tight steel for the shotgun. Might not need the spreader choke. MHearn
  5. Sam. The Chrono man has you name and picture. The Limited guys are waiting for you. MHearn
  6. Surprise Surprise. The long range weather for Fri, Sat of the match is forecast as dry, 45/72 low/highs. Anniston Weather. GETTING HAPPY. We still have slots (10/25/2007) MHearn
  7. When have I ever let you leave my house hungry? Glad your coming up. The sheets are clean. Anyone else looking for some goodwill with the Match Director and the Range Master is invited. MHearn
  8. You can sign up the morning of the match if the match is not full. The match is not full as of today (10/18/2007). The match is Limited to 100 competitors on Saturday & Sunday. We're at about 65. We will close the match at 100. I don't think it will be full. Last year we did not sell out and about 6 individuals signed up on Saturday morning. If the match sells out prior to Saturday (Nov 3), I will post that the match is closed both on the match web site and here on this forum. You still have plenty of time to get an application and check in the mail before the match to reserve a spot. Two weeks from today. If you feel you can't quite commit to getting that application and money in the mail, I have a deal for you. Send me an email (Mark Hearn) with the information from the application. I'll register you in the match (get you squadded, have you on the list for score sheet labels, etc). You can pay when you get here. If we get close to selling out, I will contact you and let you know. We can go to some type of Plan B. Hope to see you in November. MHearn Match Director Area 6 3 Gun
  9. Topic drift: Good luck to all you guys at the 3 Gun Nationals this weekend. Talked to Malcolm last night and he is having a great match. He reports that Roger is having the match of his life and that Woogie almost won one of the shotgun stages. Go guys! Back to business. The Sponsorships for the 2007 USPSA Area 6 3 Gun Match have been great. We have most of the same great folks from last year that always come through: Sabre Defence, MGM, LaRue Tactical, CMP, Springfield, Chris, Henry, Paul Ertsgaard, CED, Trijicon, Starline, Nosler, Otis, Redding, STI, and Blue Book. We have a couple of new ones SOG Knives and Tools, SafeSound's Power Scopes (neat stuff). Thanks to them all. Please support those who support us. Visit their links, check out their products, buy their great stuff. We do have one Division Sponsorship left ($1,000 in product, comes with 2 match slots, Listed on Sponsor page and back cover of match booklet) And, 2 Stage Sponsorship slots ($500 in merchandise, comes with 1 slot, Listed on Sponsor page and with stage in match booklet) We also welcome and recognize all contributors: General Sponsors: (Listed on Sponsor page and in match booklet) To vendors, this is an excellent opportunity to showcase your products to a dedicated group of shooters who tend to be obsessed with this sport and can't help but spend money on shooting related merchandise. Hope you'll support the match and come shoot with us. If you want to be a sponsor, please let me know. Looking forward too seeing you all in November. MHearn Match Director
  10. Tom Nice looking swinger. Good luck with the practice match. Looking forward to Nov. MHearn
  11. Jeff Thanks for the call. I'm in. How about a few more details: estimated min # of slugs - Any steel only shotgun stages or is it steel and clay on the same stage (wondering about using some buckshot) Is that O.K.? Pistol stages: any of them paper only or is some steel mixed in? Don't want to get into trouble with any wimpy loads (Hopalong that question was for you) Rifle stages: both up close and distance inside same stage for all or can I get away with some cheap .223 (close stuff) on soe of it. Bring a sling? Or never mind. I know you'll have it all mixed up and jumbled. MHearn
  12. Tony Been hoping to get this email. Look forward to seeing you guys. Send my greetings to Brent and Lenard. Happy to have you on board helping on Friday like last year. MHearn
  13. Folks. A little update. The stages have been approved by USPSA and I'll post them up soon. Thanks to Mike, Roger and Jeff for the designs. We do still have slots available as of 09/06/07. Come join us. Heavy metal is going to make. Even Hopalong Sambo wants a rematch with the big guns. His goal this year is to finish the match in heavy metal, not just start the match in heavy metal. We'll see. If you want to shoot in this category, hand write Heavy Metal on the application. MHearn
  14. In response to a flurry of emails concerning the fact that the match is limited to 100 competitors on Saturday & Sunday, there are still plenty of slots at this time. Come join us. Mhearn
  15. Now I know the rest of the story. Hop, you been done wrong. I'm so bad. Very bad. HHHAAAAA
  16. Sam So that's your story! I hadn't heard the details on how that was supposed to have happened. Good one. Stick to it. MHearn
  17. Top HM gets the XD or a trip to the limited prize table. Subsequent HM shooters will have the same option. Mark Hearn Rich Thanks for those kind words. Enjoyed working with you last year. You will be missed. Thanks for your service to the country. Be careful and good hunting. See you next time. Mark Hearn
  18. Bill Good to hear from you. Glad to have you and Cindy on board. Good luck with the final planning for the Area 6 Pistol. I'll see you Friday (05/04). My plan is to keep things like last year with Heavy Metal as a category within Limited. The top person in the HM category will get a Springfield XD .45. Very nice. However, I'm open to arguments for the stand alone. I believe the prize table for the other than top competitors will be deeper and better under the combined than in the stand alone. More money in the pile. Mark Hearn
