  1. That's just an extended choke tube. Briley makes them along with other manufacturers. The style is the Invector Choke, not to be confused or interchanged with the Invector Plus chokes. FN even has a custom set. They are nice b/c you don't have to have a wrench to install and remove, just remember to give them a twist just before you shoot a stage to make sure it is tight. Enjoy! Kyle So you mean an extended choke tube just adds length to the barrel? No, it is extended with a gnarled surface in order that you can remove/install it without a wrench. It only adds approximately 1" to the barrel's overall length. Regards, Kyle I seeee.... Thank you JMIS

  3. I just picked up SLP MK1 the other day for 3 gun. I wanted to konw if their is a special choke tube I should have other than the two that came with it. From videos I watched on the gun it looks like barrel is a little longer or is that a different choke tube then what I have? http://www.fnhusa.com/le/flash/prodvid.asp?SLPaction.f4v
  4. I just bought the FN MK 1 today. Oh yea... keep #1
  5. I've only shot about 4 matches so far. I quit on a 200yd steel stage. You had to hit 5 targets 15 total times. 5 prone, 5 from a blue barrel and 5 from behind a table. I thought I would never hit them at all. So I took one 30rd mag up to the stage and said to myself... self you got thirty bullets have fun Turns out I didn't do to bad, I hit 13 of 15 target. I wish I would of took another mag. I think I could of hit the last two in under 20sec. Thats what I got in pentalies for not engaging.
  6. I think that was it. I don't remember declaring a division. Yes... I had an awesome time
  7. I will be shooting a rimfire match next Saturday at the same place. I hope to get some info on then.
  8. No foregrip or compensator. Maybe I screwed up when I signed up
  9. My gun is a AR with a Burris AR-322 red dot. Standard mags and no bi-pod on that AR? Pistol and Shotty? I've seen a few get bumped for ported choke tubes and Mossburg ported barrels on shotty's. It was just a rifle match. I have standard 30rd mags and no bi-pod.
  10. I shot the PA STATE RIFLE CHAMPIONSHIP a few weeks ago. I was put in the Open class. What is the difference in the classes? The gun I used had a red dot on it. Tacops was the bigger class by far. 1. Tacops 2. Open 3. Irons... that one I can figure out 4. Heavy Metal Thank you Jeremy
  11. Any suggestions on yardage to practice my sight work for pistol with open sights and rifle with red dot? I was thinking 7yds for pistol and 25yds for rifle.
  12. Hi Dave! Thank you for the invite, gonna take you up on the offer. Our first stage was a total mess. I had mag trouble and thought I had to make all head shots on the upper cardboard. I cought a bunch of extra time for not engaging two targets From then on I tried to focus on my shot placement. Thanks! Jeremy
  13. I am guessing that you are focusing on the target, instead of the front sight. If you go to the link that kenvinj308 provided to Brian's tip page...under "Scope Vision"...make sure to read the very last paragraph, it starts with "One last thing...". Even though you might be shooting iron sights and not a red dot (scope)...it should still apply. Then, read up where it says "Sights" as a header. You are correct. I focus on the target. On longer shots with the rifle I get the wiggles
  14. Makes sense. See the shot, correct?
  15. Thanks for the info. Thread link hit home. If I would of slowed down and engaged all targets rather then blasting threw the stages with my 160 seconds in penalty, my time would of been better. Slow down and hit everything is better on the time rather than finishing quickly with alot of misses I would guess. I'm shooting a little pistol match tomorrow. I plain on hitting and not rushing the stage, as said speed will come later....I hope
  16. Hello all, I'm new to the forum and also new to 3 gun shooting. I have a couple of newbie questions? 1. I feel like I rush every shot. I shot a match last week and had over 160 seconds in penalty from a total miss or not engaging a target. 2. When I aquire a target... I most of the time wiggle and jerk the gun around. Need tips for holding on center target and not dancing the sight all over. I know the more I compete the better I should get Please help
