Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. There were some good stages on the video! I might put that in my schedule next year. I like the jungle stage (calling my shot but not the tree must happen a lot) and the boat stages as very technical. Thanks for sharing the video
  2. Minor is 120,000 power factor. I better load some ammo tonight.
  3. I am looking for southern style crawfish/seafood. Anyone know where?
  4. Thank for sharing your Viper (the tool to the dark side) with us back in the days. You are more than welcome to try my shorty out. Since I have two tiny holes on the barrel, it takes me about 8.1 to get to 175pf. On normal club match I use about 7.8~7.9 to make 167pf.
  5. Still the same Silhouette load on 125 ZERO JHP. Lily just moved to B class and she want me move out of her class ASAP!
  6. In the recent GBC match,Short-Round took this picture for me. It amaze me how flat it is! If you look closely, gun is at its full stroke and brass is comming out. Picture worth a thousand words! My work is almost a desk job. I don't work out and I don't dry-fire. I don't use expansive brand of powder. I am only a mid to high B shooter. So it is Dan's magic, not me at all! Thanks Dan! PS. I was shooting 175PF that day
  7. Thank you Ed! I always see him as part of my family. His departure really break my heart. He left three kids and a mate behind.
  8. Just finished a club match today and I finished 1st overall, 1st in division and 2 stages overall win out of 5. This is 1st time ever for me in this sport. Usually I will be jumping up and down about this kind of stuff, but I didn't. One of my beloved pet pass away yesterday morning. This has been clouding me through out this weekend. In Memory of Ben... ... May he rest in peace... ...

    Urban Myth

Here's the myth! When a person is under extreme shock/ stress, their hair might turn white overnight or sometimes massive hair lost. My SV dual tone (black top) short dust cover limited just went wild in a similar fashion! After operating by its un-skillful owner and the following parts broken in GBC 2005, it went crazy in the following week. It suffer tremendous material lost on the front and its top turns white. Here's what it looks like. Thanks Dan!
  10. I am planning to use " THE BRIDGE" again this Sunday. Any objection? I totally miss this thread too. We should post some picture of my "EVIL CREATION"
  11. The blade did break! When I am shotting (looking from the rear blade), all I see is the white hole in the front post. When you look from the top of the slide, half the front blade length is gone.
  12. I notice my optic is gone during the stage. My red dot become a white dot. I still got something up front but the shape and color doesn't look right. Just find out today. Not only my front sight broke 2 1/2 stages to go, my SV bridge face broke too. It cost me 3 james in 3 different stages. When I look at my clear jam skills on the tape, it cost me 4-6 seconds per stage. Those jam were empty case ejecting half way & empty case stay in chamber. Looks like I need to work on the "jam clearing" skills! Any drill for this!
  13. When I used to auto race, I have a mentor. He did coach/yell at me from a rookie diver at the beginning of the season to a seasonal champion by the end of the year. 1st of all, my mentor does not drive as fast as I do. Ever! He is a my mechanical and technical support on the car, but he never go to the track with me. If I trvel north to the track, he will travel south to go fishing and turn off his pager. One thing that makes him my coach is his winning mind from shootong. When he was young, he used to travel around and shot clays part time in the 80s. He wins enough in one year to pay 25%for his house down payment back in his days. There're couple points I learned in auto racing. It seems to give me the drive to win. 1) "Money will drive the best of the best to show up in the game. Even $1 on the table the best will show up and go for it. Not prize, not trophy, cash only" It seems to be true. The series I raced in is the only series among the club that have cash pay out. All the best driver, with more than 15 yrs of racing experience, in the local region just shows up and go for this series. It's one of the highest cash pay-out local series within the decade. 2) "2nd place finished, is the first guy to loose" I have a camcorder in the race car. I will usually have a video download section with him after the race weekend. Each time I finished in top three, I will got yelled at. Even if I win and lead by miles, he will still picks a section or two of the tape and said "what the ha&k are you thinking? ... ... .... You could have lost the race if that guy was right behind you " He never satisify with my performance. He will yelled till I cry. I was pushed to perform 100% no matter what. I work countness hours on the race car in his shop that year even the weekends. I have to travel 70 miles per trip between his shop and home everyday. For the rest of the time (during eating, school, part-time... ...), I am thinking/ reading about racing. I have no spare time & money for movie or CD. Every penny goes to my race budget. I have spent almost no time with my girl friend(now my wife) and she have to help me work on the car some of the weekends. Is winning that important to me? I guess yes. At lease back in the days. Is that worth it? Definitely! I earn my respect from those top drivers and other series' drivers. From beginning of the season"Who the ha%k is that kid?" to end of the year "Billy the kid" If I commited to it, I will do whatever it takes to win. I know I could do it because I have done it. In this sport, I decided to take it as a hobbie. Otherwise my boss would have fired me already!!
  14. Just received e-mail from Match MD and here's the update. Match is more than 60% full. For those who want to sign up, you better hurry up! According to my inside info, Taran Butler and some tough folks from AZ will be coming too. I wish to see my squad-mates from "Infinity stock gun challenge" coming too!
