  1. I have a bunch of 124g Montana Gold i have to shoot up, but will get a few 147g just to try these loads. Thanks!
  2. I am in the process of purchasing a new Springfield XD(M) competition series pistol in 9mm. For those of you out there shooting one in competition would you please share what you find to be the best OAL, Crimp etc. in 9mm.
  3. Thanks for the opinions and replies.
  4. I have a new Buckmark Lite that I am shooting Steel Challenge Matches with using Iron Sights at this point. Has anyone added a Compensator to the Lite barrel. It is not tapped for one, could it be done? please let me know if you have any experience with comps on the Buckmark.
  5. Well I have shot the Buckmark Lite in my first Steel match using the optic. My times were just a little faster then my 9mm G34, but I am sure with practice they will come down. I do not like optics :-) Not the Cmore, just all optics on a pistol. So I set up the iron sights today and the pistol is extremely accurate at 25 yards. So I will shoot RFI next match and see what happens.
  6. I actually like the STS set up and you will notice the difference on weight as compared to a cmore. The only problem I had is that when you are practicing/shooting at sunset (We have a practice match on our club every week in the afternoon, I don't know if it is just my STS but the auto mode (automatically adjust the brightness for you) is too bright and you cannot dim it down. It is perfect on morning/sunny matches though pretty bright... Glad to hear it. I will be sure and post what I think after I have some experience. Thanks to all for the great support an relies. Regards Mike
  7. I found a mount so I think I will go ahead and try the STS. Does not weigh much and brightness seems fine.
  8. So it can be zeroed I see, but by adjustable you mean it only has the 2 dot intensities?
  9. A while back, my buckmark used the STS. I have a regular picatinny/weaver mount http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=16124/Product/BROWNING-BUCKMARK-SCOPE-MOUNT then I bought an STS weaver style adapter http://www.midwayusa.com/product/493874/c-more-sts-base-weaver-picatinny-style-rail-mount-matte Worked perfectly and no problems but eventually, I have to go back to a regular cmore coz I have another project that I needed the STS. What was your opinion of the STS on a Buckmark? I thought small and light would work well.
  10. Well that's great! I have an alternative now. Anyone want to buy an Allchin mount :-) Appreciate your input and will get the parts ordered in the morning.
  11. Oh great Tim :-) Do you know of a good mount for the STS?
  12. Well I received my Buckmark Lite, Cmore STS sight and Allchin mount today. I think I must be missing a key ingredient :-) The Mount fits perfectly, but there are no matching holes in the Allchin Mount for the Cmore :-) There must be an adapter or you drill and tap for the sight? Anybody have a picture of your setup with an STS??
  13. I had a ton of advice David here on the forum and in conversations with you, Zeb etc. Hope to bring it up Sunday and test it out after the postal match
  14. I ended up going with a Buckmark Lite and I also ordered the Allchin mount and Cmore 7 moa site. I think it is going to work out great. Buckmark Lite gray
  15. Great ideas all. I ordered the Allchin mount and a Cmore today.
  16. I am in the process of putting together a Buckmark for shooting in the Steel Challenge, Rim Fire Optic Category. I am trying to determine which model to buy that will best accmodate a C-more Optic and Tac Solutions compensated barrel. Any suggestions on which model Buckmark, suggested C-more sight and the mount for the sight would be appreciated.
  17. Interesting :-) I have had the most luck using my finger also. Guess I'll stick with it. Thanks for the replies.
  18. For those of you who use slide glide I wanted to ask what you use for an applicator? I have tried brushes and Q tips but am not happy with the results. It's hard to find something that will get under the 4 slide lugs on the Glock lower. Any suggestions.
  19. Does anyone have the Latitude and longitude for the Range?
  20. Gotta get our other guys signed up. Gonna be a good one David.
  21. Pick a pistol that you can run 500 rounds a week through for awhile and I suggest 9mm since it is cheaper. I am classified in SSP and ESP but normally shoot ESP. I have in the past used a mag-well on my Glock 34 but no longer use one since I also shoot USPSA Production and have to take the mag-well off :-) So shoot what you want, pick a pistol that is reliable and have some fun!
  22. All signed up, reservations made and looking forward to this one.
  23. Hi Josh. Welcome to the forum and IPSC shooting. If you work in Georgetown there are a lot of good shooting events in Central Texas. USPSA/IPSC, IDPA, Steel Challenge, 3 Gun and Action Pistol. I shoot 3 days a week during the summer plus a day of practice. Plenty going on :-)
  24. It's a 2 day class, Mike. It's been a couple of years since Arthur Brown put one together in Waco. That is when I took mine. Let's visit with him and see if there is interest enough for another. When we shoot the USPSA event or Steel Challenge, Let's talk to Art and see if he can give me some options in this area for th
  25. welcome to the forum. There are plenty of good matches in this part of Texas. Enjoy the new Glock.
