Gentlemen,
Thanks for the replies Man, this forum keeps amazing me
OK, so the box fit mags do exist . Now I just have to find a way to get them over here.
I emailed Brownells to ask if they ship to Europe. I read on their site that they ship 10+ mags internationally only to LE and Military, but I thought I'd ask anyway. Who knows.
PS, pvhendrix. Do you by any chance know how many rounds the tactical magazines hold in 9mm/38s?
Call Caspian,
Thay have a sheet metal base plate that fits their original 9mm/38Super mag, if you have those. They also have the smaller basepad that was mentioned above for their newer mag.

Was contacted by a USPSA member that is currently home on RR from an assignment in the middle east. He was looking to sell his Dillon Super 1050 with accessories and two SVI Limited gun and their gear. I was able to put him in contact with the parents of two boys that started shooting USPSA last year. They bought the two SVI's. The oldest boy will be shooting one of the SVI's later this year and the younger one will have an SVI waiting in their safe for a year.
The individual selling these items sold them for a steal of a price.
Oh I got the 1050.

I see no compelling reason to change USPSA production rules.
If you want to run production mags with 15 rounds in them, then you can at an US-IPSC match. Which, by the way is allowed within USPSA. Any USPSA Club can hold an IPSC rules match.

Here are two pics of my limited gun. The heavy dust cover is just a slight bit narrower than the slide.

I know a number of shooters that say they prefer the Caspian grip. I think what holds them back in Open is lack of a good 170 mm high cap mag and they need to make the dust cover thicker for a single side optic mount.
Caspian has a heavy cover option in the Hi-Cap frame.

XD's were much better deals when they were $299 HS2000's
Yea, but you couldn't give them away

I have a new Caspian hi-cap frame on the way. I know that a lot of folks used modified Tangfolio mags in the .40's before the current "good" .40 mags were available. I will just buy some of the new mags for USPSA, but wondered if anyone has used Tangfolio mags in these frames to fit in the IDPA box? I don't shoot a lot of IDPA, but think it would be cool to be able to buy some cheap mags to modify just in case. If this will work, any suggestions on the specific mags needed?
Mark Dye
Mark, Call Caspian they have a basepad for their mag.
here is a thread where I posted some pics

Which uspsa rule applies to: Only 2 hits applies even if you have more than 2 hits on a no-shoot target..I can't find any in the rulebook..Thanks
There is no rule in USPSA that limits the number of penalized no shoot hits to two. IPSC has a rule that limits no shoot hit penalties to two per no-shoot. So in USPSA you get all no shoot hits as penalties.

Will be back on the phone with them on Monday morning

Jon,
It is a raid configuration,
Thanks for the suggestions have been through diskpart and no luck.
Files are not eating up space. Disk Manager reports the correct drive size and space used/free space available and the drive is healthy.
chkdsk confirms the same as drive manager.
backup is backing up the same files size as as reported as used in drive manager and chkdsk.
Don't know how long this has been the state of the c: drive.
If I had any hair this last Monday I would be bald today LOL
Appreciate all the suggestions.

Hmmm, some other suggestions to try (grasping at straws)
When you used diskpart did you resize it to an odd size like 8 or 10GB or so or just try to put it to the size it "should be?" If not I would try that and just see if a pointer got stuck/confused.
Did not do a resize of the partition, this is a production system that is on the other side of the world that we remotely manage. We do have some hands available remotely but they are not System Administrators.
Is it a Soft-RAID or a hardware RAID?
Hardware Raid
If it is a hardware RAID what size does the RAID utility on the card say the logical/physical drive size is? Do you have the latest RAID BIOS and RAID drivers for the hardware?
We had an issue about a year ago on one of our SQL boxes where there was an issue with an old RAID driver/BIOS combo we had that knocked the array totally offline. We had to update the SCSI BIOS and then remount the entire array and it was fine after that, no data loss, but I think I lost 10 years off my life when the tech that had hands on the server said "hey it wants me to initialize the array, I am going to say yes." and I screamed out **NOOooooooo!!** Fortunately he stopped before hitting the Y button! *phew!*
If it is a soft-RAID I would say to back everything up and re-setup the RAID array. I have never had good luck with the MS soft-RAID utility in a 0 or 1 setup and try to not set up a drive as Dynamic either if I can help it. For some reason whenever I make a drive dynamic I start having drive issues later on. If I leave it as Basic then no problems. *shrugs*
We diligently ghost the systems, applied a ghost image to a spare box and got the exact same issue.
Thanks again for all the ideas.

Is this a dynamic drive, in a RAID array or anything similar? You should not have this issue at all on a Basic/static disk type.
Have you checked the server logs to see if it has reported an error on that drive/Array? You may also see about using the disk management tool to rescan the drives and update them as necessary.
I have seen a similar issue when someone set up a drive/array to be a Dynamic Drive in windows on a RAID-5 that had the boot partition on one logical drive and the Data on a different logical drive and windows just got "confused" somewhere along the way.
You may try starting here http://support.microsoft.com/kb/325590 and seeing if that helps.
On the outside chance, you may also try these suggestions on checking the swap file size, log file sizes, chkdsk, and the treesize program. I *really* like treesize as a diagnostic tool and for figuring out what files are eating up space on a server.

open My Computer, right click on the drive (c:) then click Properties. Check disk quota's enabled/disabled under Quota Tab
Possible solution.
C: Drive is not shared as the users home directory and profiles are on the D: Drive. (no quota tab)
Thanks
Also to add this is BDC.

Here goes,
I have a Windows Server 2003 that is currently showing in my computer the C: Drive as 1.0gb and free space as 0.99 gb. The C: partition is 35gb as reported in Disk Manager and chkdsk results.
I have seen this before and can not remember how I fixed it the last time.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks

How well do the early Caspian frames with the round trigger guard hold up to having a C-more mounted on the dust cover? Are the dust covers the same thickness as a Para? I'd like to use a Quinn mount or would a doubled side mount work better? I had a para many years ago with a C-more serendipity mount and had no problems with it. I just don't have any first hand experience with Caspian frames.
The std dust cover on that Caspian should hold up fine. All of my Caspians that I have added mounts on are the std dustcover.

I expect I will be there. May shoot Friday this year.

Now Jim, you know it just wouldn't be the same Area 8 Championship without you.

Harry,
First, there was no schedule for a cash payout. This was in accordance with the TechWear USA 2009 Area 8 Championship prize policy that was posted on the website.
As far as the prize table, if the competitor was not there when their name was called, the remaining competitors were asked if someone that knew the competitor would pick out a prize for them. If no one came forward we were setting aside prizes other than the certificates that were for less than a $100 for the competitor that was not there. All prizes that we held for the competitors that were not at the prize table have been sent out. I do not recall if anyone local to you grabbed a prize for you.

thanks a lot alan!
and how many rounds can you fit inside the ipsc compliant mag with thw grams spring and follower? also can i use the grams kit ofr sti for the caspian mags?
Using the Grams spring and follower for the 140mm Mag I can get 16rds in the mag using the IPSC base pad. If I was to tune the spring I could probably get at least one more may a second.
You could probably use the Grams Follower in the original design mags, but the spring will pose an issue with the Caspian base pad. The spring needs to have its coils narrower.

Currently I am using the Grams springs and followers available from Henning's store here on BE. They are the ones for the Tanfoglio magazines.
