  1. Found this and thought you all might enjoy it as much as I did http://www.xtranormal.com/watch/8178185/team-3-gun
  2. 42 teams now. A lot of the preliminary work is done. It should be a great time.
  3. Yes, Steve I got yours. You should have gotten a confirmation email from me. Sorry for the delay.
  4. I like WD-40 as a cheap spray cleaner. Hose things down, scrub with old tooth brush, hose it down again, and wipe it all off. I think it's safer on most materials (plastics etc) than brake cleaner. Brake cleaner removes every bit of oil from your gun and anywhere you miss putting more oil on is unprotected. If you miss oiling a spot cleaned with WD-40 you're still safe. The downside to WD-40 is that if used and not wiped off eventually will leave a build up of some kind, but it is easily removed too.
  5. 39 paid apps in my hands at this time, 10 slots left. Better hurry if you want to play.
  6. Another correction to Harry's post. The match will have 7 stages, 4 of which will be classifiers. But, thanks for announcing the match for us Harry!
  7. Actually our website is www.yorkiwlaipsc.com not .org The .org site may still be alive but is not maintained due to loss of our webmaster.
  8. We're up to 39 paid teams now. There are some who say their apps are in the mail too. If you're not in you better hurry up! You don't want to miss this one.
  9. Jim I was even going to shave my legs just for you! Wait a minute... Is this match in Pa. or are we shooting in San Fran. or Key West...? Leave it to Larry to subvert, and pervert a whole topic.
  10. Every Sunday night I update the database and send out confirmations by email.
  11. If you are inclined to spend the night in York the night before you shoot the 3 man 3 gun, I have arranged a very nice rate on a match hotel for this match. A friend of mine works at the Red Roof Inn on Arsenal road and he assures me that the rooms are fresh and clean. The normal rate for weekends that time of year is $75 or so, but you can get a room for $49.99 + tax if you tell them that you are with the "York Izaak Walton group" and we were promised that rate by Tammi. The phone number is 717-843-8181. I wouldn't wait too long to get that done if you want that rate.
  12. If you are inclined to spend the night in York the night before you shoot the MASC I have arranged a very nice rate on a match hotel for this match. A friend of mine works at the Red Roof Inn on Arsenal road and he assures me that the rooms are fresh and clean. The normal rate for weekends that time of year is $90 or so, but you can get a room for $51.99 + tax if you tell them that you are with the "York Izaak Walton group" and we were promised that rate by Tammi. The phone number is 717-843-8181. I wouldn't wait too long to get that done if you want that rate.
  13. An all ladies team would be awesome! There is only one stage where two shotguns are required. I'm sure there will be plenty of people on the other teams on your squad willing to lend you one for that stage. There is also going to be a rule that everyone on the team must use a shotgun on at least one stage. Everyone will have to use a pistol on at least on stage also, and everyone must use a rifle at least twice. The stages are now available so that you may plan your strategy. Follow this link.
  14. We finally got a date set for the York Izaak Walton Spring 3 man 3 gun. It's not perfect (there's a conflict with Fredericksburg's monthly USPSA match) but it's the best we could do. There's just so much going on at York Izaak Walton in the spring. That date will be Sunday, April 3rd. Applications are available at http://yorkiwlaipsc.com/forms/York_3m_3gun_Spr2011.pdf and you can type right onto the pdf. Then just print it and mail it and your check as instructed on the form. Slots will be extremely limited for this match and we expect it to fill quickly. Don't hesitate to get your team together and get your stuf in the mail. We are also going to publish the stages ahead of time to allow you to strategize if you like. They should be up in a day or two. This match will be a great warm-up for Topton's 3 man 3 gun in June. I hear there are still a couple slots left for that, but you better hurry.

  16. I saw what you meant. Somehow there was an emoticon where the letter "B" should have been. So, yes Joe gets paid for 1st B. We are paying all classes with 5 or more shooters within every division. Don't worry, you'll be classified by June, and there are probably enough in every division of Open that you'll get paid if you win. There are lots of Open, Limited, and Production shooters signed up already. Also, York will be having a Special Classifier match in May
  17. I thought you might want to see the payout structure we will be using at the MASC. Payout Structure: 1st in any division $240 (min 5 shooters) 2nd in any division $160 (min 10 shooters) 3rd in any division $80 (min 15 shooters) We will pay categories within each division, the way they do at Nationals, if there are at least 5 shooters in the division, for Senior, Super Senior, Junior, and Lady. $80 each. 1st in class $160 (min 5 shooters) 2nd in class $80 (min 10 shooters) 3rd in class $40 (min 15 shooters) No shooter will get paid twice. They will be paid the higher amount only. For example Joe Blow is 3rd in Single Stack, was the high Super Senior in SS, and was 1st B in SS he will receive a check for $160 (1st B class) only. Nobody will be paid for Super Senior or 3rd in division.
  18. Competitive Edge Dynamics has signed on as match sponsor again this year. Last year they supplied us with the timers which were awesome. This year we're getting two chronos and all the accessories to set up the tandem chrono set up just like Nationals. Whenever you're shopping for shooting electronics or other gear give CED a look. Their products are great, prices competitive, and customer service is superior.
  19. Does that include retired? I believe USPSA only recognizes full time active duty, but I'll check into it. Whatever USPSA does is what we will do. We follow the rules pretty tightly at York.
  20. I am looking for a sponsor slot to shoot the World Shoot pre-match. If anyone knows of a sponsor who will not be using theirs please PM me. My son has been selected for the Junior team, and an experienced international shooter says that it would be of great help to our Junior team if I could shoot the pre-match and give them some insight on the stages. I'll be there anyway and I am a Master shooter. I would rather shoot the pre-match and help our Junior team if I can than shoot the real thing. Thanks
  21. Big respect for the military. I don't know why it's not on there. I'll see that it is fixed. We will pay if we have a minimum of 5. It has been fixed. Mil is now an option on the application.
