Sorry if I missed this in a previous post as I did "speed read" a lot of it; Will membership be required in order to compete?

The last time I played I beat him 5 times, he just keeps coming. The big bonuses stop though, I only had like 156,000 or so. I found the rifle game the best way to make extra bread for match fees. I can get $70 or more usually. I found it helpful to slow the mouse speed down a bit though, then speed it back up for the matches.

yeah, i ran out trying to defeat him the 2nd time, but i'm going to claim gimp status since i broke my dominant hand and have to play lefty.....

Errol Lawson custom makes his comps and they are great. It has side ports as well which do help to stabilize the gun.
As Matt stated, Ti or Stainless, depending on what type of balance is desired. Both of mine are Ti and I love the way the gun feels/handles/shoots. I don't know if he would be willing to sell just the comp because of the amount of work involved versus the profit made. I could ask him though....

I couldn't locate the advertised diameter and it wasn't written on the box. The exact measurement of the Zero 125jhp is .355" though, as I just checked it.
I also had an opportunity to test the AA .355 super ammo last weekend and I was surprised to find the it made major in my pistol which has a 4.5" barrel with 4 blow holes plus comp. I don't have the data "handy" (Bob would get the pun there) but I recall it being about 167.2pf or so (my HS-6 load makes a 171pf). I don't have any accuracy results to share and cannot comment on perceptive recoil feel as I had to shoot weak hand only.

I had the pleasure of hearing Into Eternity at the DT show and I really enjoyed it, they were pretty heavy.

The mini targets are cool, for sure.
For practicing, Scott Warren is making a reduced A/C overlay that you just glue over your standard IPSC targets. It gives you a smaller target and they're inexpensive so you can keep shooting clean targets. You fill em full of holes and then glue another over it. Saves on pasters too! Then when you go back to a plain IPSC target, the A zone (which is the target!) looks huge. Check with Scott for details on price and availability.

I believe that I'm starting to get the hang of this "Open" thing....
Shot this at the last York match; 2.88 down 1 for a 13.5417 HF. Very relaxed and felt real smooth too.

Floyd, that's awesome. +1 on Transatlantic, and Symphany X! I've got a bunch of their stuff but haven't got Paradise Lost yet. I listened to the samples though and it rocks! It'll probably be my next purchase.

A belated welcome to the forums to you. I just got back from a concert and thought I would check out the forum to see if there was a topic started already where I could relate my experience.
I haven't been to a concert in 20 years, pretty funny, huh? The last one I went to was in 1987, Rush, Hold Your Fire!
I saw Dream Theater earlier this week touring their new release, Systematic Chaos. What an awesome show, simply amazing! They would have to be my favorite band, and I believe they fit into the progressive rock genre. I do have a Porcupine Tree CD (Deadwing) and plan to get some more of their stuff. I'm very selective about what I listen too and I really enjoy what they have to offer.
I'm also into Spock's Beard and Neal Morse, some of my other favorites...

I shot on Friday afternoon and really enjoyed it. I would have to say that it was deceptively easy and I certainly got caught! Three no-shoots and two misses, good night! What a great match though! I've been fortunate enough to make it to every Summer Blast since the start, and this one was the best yet. Once again this dedicated crew has pulled off a dandy. Thanks a million guys, you're the best. It was great to see everybody (friends: shooters & RO's) once again, always a pleasure. Congratulations to the winners too!

I don't know how far you are from them, but the boys from Green Mountain Practical Shooters in VT would be glad to have you. A great group of shooters there! Oh yeah, the guys from Harvard are awesome too!

Got back to MD at about 1:30 this morning, sheeesh, what a trip. Everything went smoothly except for that big traffic jam on I-85 North!
What a great match, it was a lot of fun and it was good to see everyone again. A huge thanks to Roger, Carlos, and everyone else who worked hard to pull this match off. We were moving along at warp speed until we hit stage 8 (the Standards) and the backup continued to the stage 9. It was no big deal though as we were still done with the match on time. The stages were a lot of fun to shoot and once again I walked away with some good learning points.
As far as preparing for the Nationals goes, even though the stages had a lot of open targets I tried to go "penalty and D" free. Not including the Standards, I had 1 D and no penalties and that D was planned on the swinger on stage 9 (those who shot the match know...) I trashed stage 8 though, with a miss (called that one, the darn gun went off before I wanted it to...), 4 D's, and a dropped reload! Oh well.

It would sure be a case of missplaced priorities to tank a match ( that cost 1K or more to attned) to win 2-300 bucks.
Maybe what we can do is if the pot gets too big at the final tally ( lets sat over $300 for the winner) We then automatically do the 70/30 split.
In the unlikely event that at 70/30 the winner still gets over $300 then we could go 3 places.
That's just about what I was thinking too, If the pot got too big.

A name, what's in a name anyway? I wouldn't look down my nose at a couple hundred bucks and a new nick name. Not that I plan on losing.
Hey, I just took a closer look and found that in all 18 stages together there are only like 40 open targets, wow!

That's awesome, I'm really glad to hear that. I'm sure it's a sacrifice for you, but you know you'll be glad you didn't miss the Blast.

The issue for me Flex, was simply not realizing how easy it is to inadvertently push in the mag. I just never looked closely and when it happened to me, oh the horror, I looked at it and saw how far beyond the grip the button actually protruded. At that point, I was still using the extended catch. I was just more careful about picking the gun, by pinching it with my thumb and fingers, as I stated earlier. It wasn't until that I switched back to my Glock last year (after shooting the CZ for a season) that I had another problem with the long mag catch. It seems that my grip on the gun was so high that my strong hand middle finger was touching the mag catch. When my support hand came onto the gun it would squeeze down on the strong hand which would push down on the mag catch and release the mag. Weird huh?
I put in a new spring and replaced the slightly worn catch but, it still happened. I didn't want to have to think about not gripping the gun so high, so I switched to the short catch. I understand that this issue is completely just my issue, but that's why I use the shorty...Where your issues with more than one Glock, or with your main competition/practice gun ?Oh yeah, to answer your question, the grip issue occurred with my competition gun and duty gun (especially with gloves, and no, I don't wear them to be cool, I have wear them because of the flash-bangy-thingies
). So I switched out all of em, just to keep things consistent. I did find that the extended catch was more convenient, but not necessarily "faster".You still da man though K'dawg!
