  1. We shot CM03-01 Ducks in a Barrel at C.L.A.S.S. yesterday. This classifier is not safe to shoot. Please don't set it up in the Texas South Section The wording on this Classifier requires the shooter to finish up on the two In-Line Steel through the barrel Around half the shooters double tapped the front steel so they could engage the back steel sooner. This is a problem. While it didn't happen yesterday, this could have launched a half speed round over the backstop. In the past, I have seen plenty of stages set up with In-Line steel targets. I have never seen one set up so that the shooter had to wait for the front steel to move out of the way "on the clock". There have always been other targets to engage while waiting. See you at the range Tom Neal L2362 CRO Section Coordinator Texas South Section
  2. According to my calculations in OPEN you would have to shoot all A's in 3.39 seconds to score 100% In Limited you would have to shoot all A's in 3.53 Seconds for 100%
  3. My last post was clear as mudd Let me try again. The reason there is only room for 1 time is because of a mistake in the classifier database that gets published with EzWinScore This Mistake has been corrected but it has not be republished.
  4. There is a problem in the classifier database Roger has corrected the problem (at USPSA) but has not published
  5. I seemed to have misplaced the Rifle and Shotgun rules Are they in the Green rule book?

Emanuel Bragg eb@protechco.com (660) 665-3171 Emanuel runs the USPSA Junior program and has a job at a place that does trophys I have used his services for a couple of years It's kind of nice to work with someone who understands the difference between Limited and Limted 10.
  7. Is there any source for .38 Super Brass other than: 1) New Brass 2) self scrounging?
  8. 1. Where is Tactical class? That would be an Aggregate way of scoring a 3-gun match and It's been in EzWinScore for months. On the Registration window of a 3-gun match look at the rifle and shotgun divisions.
  9. I would not expect that to ever happen UNLESS Everyone went to their Area Director and insisted. The problem is: Sometimes the order of finish changes from the 'By Division' report and the 'Combined' report. This is beacuse a different Stage High Hit Factor was used to calculate the stage points. People don't understand So they call Sedro Woolley and complain about the error in EzWinScore. The math can't be explained easily over the phone or in writing.
  10. I do it for all the matches in the section at: http://www.texassouthsection.com/Matches.htm
  11. All / Combinded scoring is available using EzWinScore On the Results page click the FINAL and ALL radio buttons
  12. The squad list has been updated There are more entries with a postmark of 1/11/2005 than I have spots for. There are still a few spots for Range Officers and Staff.
  13. Well I spent 3+ hours this morning going through my SCC2005 inbox and entering competitors. I made it through those postmarked on or before 1/10/2005 I sent an email to all.
  14. I am still trying to get caught up in my real job. Then I need to Finish the sponsor calls. Once I know how many sponsor slots, I'll know how many shooter spots are left.
  15. Or if you are really into it. Build a spread sheet Every classifier is on a row Columns include Hit Factor, USPSA Precentage, Estimated High Hit Factor Divisions are on seperate tabs Estimated High Hit Factor is computed =sum(Hit Factor / (USPSA Percentage / 100)) Then do a Google search for the classifier name and some of the column headings from ezwinscore. Once you find a club that has shot a classifier you can find an individual USPSA Number then Copy their Hit Factor into the spredsheet Then look up their percentage on the USPSA web sight and paste that into your spreadsheet. It only takes 10 to 40 hours to find and enter all the classifiers. Of course Sometimes the High hit factor changes My CM03 tabs are pretty sparsly populated. I don't have that much time anymore
  16. The 2005 Space City Challenge is sold out. There are still a few spots left for RO's and staff. I am holding off entering the last of the entries until after I contact vendors. Right now I am a little behind schedule on my real job and am trying to catch up. So, I haven't made the necessary calls. The match is 4/29 - 5/1 I really expected the match to sell out by the end of February. It sold out around 1/15. Next year I expect it to sell out in December. The tilted stage was designed by Scott Quigley. Scott has been designing and building great stages for SCC for years.
  17. Wouldn't a vision barrier replacing the No Shoots cause the same problem. An overly agressive shooter puts a round through the vision barrier prop and into a target. Even without looking at the rule book I know that he wouldn't get the hit But I have been at enough matches to know that the RO will have a tough time catching it.
  18. http://www.texassouthsection.com/SCC_2005/...20position2.pdf We had a berm that was nearly 50 yards wide. Last year we built two walls filled with pea gravel to dived the berm into 3 bays. They are each about 15 yards deep. This stage is designed to be put in the middle berm. (The one with walls on both sides.) My goal with this stage was to make the shooter solve a shooting problem. and to use the entire bay. GM's may be able to walk and shoot. Mortals may have to stop multiple times.
  19. I am with skywalker on this. I don't see any rule against backing a no shoot with steel. It just makes it a better course of fire.
  20. Will having a T1 Steel target behind each of the no shoot fix all the problems?
  21. I am thinking of a static steel target with a no shoot attached to the front. Hit will be as easy to see as a regular no-shoot And there will be a DING when it's hit. I will have the shooters far enough back to be safe. What do you think of that solution?
  22. I have a stage for the Space City Challenge (a level III match) that has no shoots about 2 yards in front of shoot targets. The idea is to get the shooter to move BUT I just realized that targets are impenatrable 9.1.5 Does that mean if someone tags a no-shoot and a shoot target they must reshoot the stage because of range equipment malfunciton? I just went to the rule book. It looks like the reshoot only occurs when a round goes through a no shoot and knocks down a steel. If a round goes through a no shoot and then into a regular paper target, the shooter just looses the hit. That seems like it would be tough to RO. How have others done this at a big match. Did they make the no shoot out of steel?
  23. I did a search and didn't find all the information I wanted. Such as did you take your gun to the eye exam? What correction did you get for your non-sighting eye? I was also hoping to get some reviews from folks that had tried some of the prescription inserts.
