  1. So, obviously I need to once again retool my practice. I am going to abandon the simplistic 15 minute dry fire program for now, and instead focus on field course elements in dry fire.

Hopefully we get Bens 30 minute live fire field course edition soon!

  2. We have a truly love/hate relationship with our postmaster! He hates seeing our truck pull up with 500+ lbs of lead to unload, but loooves getting a year end bonus because of the $40,000+ we spend with them each year! Our boxes are sometimes balloned up with packing material, and our Postmaster NEVER says anything about charging us more. They're making a killing on FRB's, the weight limit will likely not be changing for a loooong time...

  3. Darn old people and technology! Your Top Shot audition is absolutely hilarious, how they chose better contestants is beyond me! You should come down to Flanagan and pick up your bullets and we'll have a nice little practice session at our range, maybe get a video or two!! BTW, those bullets need to be loaded to at least 1.18" or so, so be sure your mags will accept them(I know nothing about glocks). . Talk to you soon Rokmel

  4. I've shot several local matches last month and I'm pretty sure I've got one classifier above 60%, which will make my 59.88% go up to a B class.. At matches I've been writing down B class because an RM told me he got a list emailed to him of shooters who moved up a class or something like that.. I'm not doubting the clubs.. and I certainly wasn't trying to offend anybody (did I?), just didn't know if it was possible that my scores were't uploaded yet.

Another question.. when shooting a state sectional match, will the overall match % count as a classifier score if a GM is in the division you are shooting?

  5. Rokmel, I think I know what that HINT means... Did you seriously make it for sure!??! I hope you did, my dad said you were an insanely awesome cowboy shooter when he watched you at the Pumpkin massacre. I'm sure you'll be a great USPSA shooter too, hope to shoot with you sometime soon... and of course watch you on the History Channel! Good Luck!

  6. I'm pretty sure nobody has mentioned a combo similar to this one, which I absolutely love.... meters consistently through chrono, and smokes less than WST, which is what I switched from.

  7. The closest would be a 200 RNFP at .452 . . works well in .45 ACP. I ended up 2nd out of 15 at 95% of a Master score, even though I bombed stage 1 with 3 M's and a FTE. Was a fun match though, looks like you'll be a high b shooter maybe a once ya get goin in USPSA, good job

  8. So being part the 'younger' generation of shooters I was thinking about how great it would be to be able to electronically practice shooting on your TV. Just think of the technology used in Nintendo Duck Hunter combined with the motion dection of a Wii remote. Now, make a full size/weight 1911 'controller' with with a few weighted tough plastic mags. I'm sure a recoil simulation of some kind could easily be built in. If a manufacturer didn't want to make the entire gun controller($$), make a few components that would attach to pretty much any handgun. A pointer device of somekind would be the only essential component, anything else would just be icing on the cake. No doubt I'd pay 400, maybe 500 bucks if the product was legit... especially since shooting in the winter is few and far between for lots of us. I'm getting excited at the thought of it, but I have a feeling we're a looong ways away from seeing such realistic virtual training device.... a guy can dream though right?

  9. It was awesome talking to you today at Oak Park Roumel. Hope you had a good time today and got a better idea of which division you want to play in. Single stack or Lim 10 I'd say are your best bets considering you likely have decent stage breakdown/management skills and the equipment you have won't be a disadvantage. Good Luck, enjoy the forums and the run and gun rush we all get from USPSA! Good Luck on your quest for big Kentucky bass as well!

  10. Thanks ChaLee, I will absolutely work on that at my next practice sessions. Some people think first person cams are great, but until you see yourself from a 3rd person view, you'll never know the whole story! I look waaay slower than I felt, when it comes to foot speed and moving any distance.
