  1. Thats pretty slick - the worst thing about that is that it will not work for rifles. Before I purchased a press I called Hornady and asked about buying all the case insertion parts (kind of like Dillon 650 press) they said no they dont sell just the individual parts - you have to buy the case feeder. I would have gone with the LNL if they would have sold me the parts, but I ended up with a blue 650 instead.
  2. Being new to the 650 I was looking for something like this. I didn't see one so I made this up using the tips from this thread. Its May 2007 Manual Dillon 650XL Lubrication Procedure.pdf
  3. I wanted a 550 - but the lack of case feeder for rifle (223) was a deal breaker.
  4. Maybe Im being unreasonable - but after hearing about Dillon great customer service, no BS warranty, I was a little disappointed the first time I called dillon for spare parts. I bought a used 650 and needed a few parts, the gentleman was helpful and polite and started making a list of all the parts I needed. I then wanted to buy 2 small springs(powder measure) and a missing 22 cal powder check rod. The total cost on these 3 items = $27.00 what bothered me was the $10.00 for shipping. I'm probably being unreasonable but they were just going to send me parts a no charge - cant they just throw them into the same package? (Lee has done this twice) When I questioned the high price on shipping - he said it was the standard shipping price for this dollar amount. I know they are sending me a bunch of free parts (haha - Like when the government gives you "free money") so I just said OK - but I keep hearing how great dillon customer service was - and frankly I wasn't overly impressed. Nothing really different (except price) from Lee, RCBS and Hornady.
  5. Yeah your right - its the May 2007 - the one off the Dillon web site.
  6. I had some extra time and made this up using the tips from the lube sticky. Let me know if something is messed up. Its May 2007 Manual Dillon 650XL Lubrication Procedure.pdf
  7. I was wondering the same thing.....On the new style I just took off the spring where it attaches to the top tit.
  8. Tim thanks for the tip , forwarded to a buddy for future use I put the sizing die on station 2 also - it didnt help that much. I went to hand priming and then loading rounds on the LM - What pushed me to sell it was the constant issues with the shell indexing and the lack of case feeder for .223 - I would have gotten a 550 but the lack of case feed pushed me to a 650.
  9. I looked in the manual - but I didn't see it. It doesn't really look like the 13845 and powder has to drop through 13845 - the piece I have is solid. Ill have to get a pic up a little latter.
  10. Hello guys, I just picked up a 650 and was wondering if you could help me out. The guy I got the press off of has a white plastic round piece about 3/8" diameter, and 1/2" tall (Solid plastic cylinder) it was in a plastic baggie along with the large powder bar. Any idea what that goes on? whats is for?
