  1. I thought this would get a good reaction. I want to look good when I crash and burn. I dont want to spend 205.00+ and get a baby blue holster. From the web site it looks baby blue. Will, where did you get your stuff from? Speed shooters does not have silver.
  2. Does anyone have a picture of the guga ribas holster in blue? Like to see if the blue is the shade of Dawson basepads.

  6. DougC Thanks for the input, I checked out Rich's web site. Very nice looking guns.
  7. I am going to build a limited gun. Is there a way to fit the grip safety better on the caspian frames? All the pictures I see have large gaps so it will pivot, I was thinking if I pin the safety then the gaps could be welded up to fit better. sv45
  8. I was thinking of building a Caspian With the Hi-cap frame. Does anyone have any input on building on Caspian? I have two SV guns that I really like, just looking for something new. sv45
  9. Kevin c, Is the barrel worth $300? Could you tell a difference in recoil when you had the barrel installed? I am thinking of taking some weight off the slide also up front to help with the noise weight. Thanks
  10. I want to install a new barrel into my SVI limited gun. What barels do you guys use and why? I am thinking about tungsten and stainless Limcat or a Schuemann. Thanks Erik
  11. Thanks, Its not a sure thing on the move yet. This looks like a good deal for shooting. Thanks again Erik
  12. I may be moving to Pittsburgh this summer and will need to find a club I can join and shoot matches. I am not sure where we will end up living, but the job is in Bethel Park. Thanks for your input Ej45
  13. I was thinking of changing the stock on my AR, Is there a better stock out there for shooting three gun besides the standard. I am thinking of the EGW with adjustable weights. What do you think? I know it will not make me shoot faster and jump higher but the rifle will look cool. LOL ThankEj45

    Practical IDPA

Hi Ron Durham, I really do not care about real life self defensive shooting because I do not carry. I plan on running as fast as I can! I just like to shoot for fun, I like high round counts with no rules. The last match had so many one handed stages, it was hard to smoke them. Its not that I don't have the ability to shoot well strong/weak handed. I'm just a gamer and a hoser at heart. My dander is fine. LOL Good Shooting EJ45

Ron Durham, You should not be so quick to judge Mr. Area Coordinator! I have been a match director at the club and have done alot of help building targets, tear downs, and stage designs. This is not my first day at the range, I have been shooting competitive in IPSC, IDPA, Steel matches, and Skeet since 1991. Sorry about the rule book, I gave the two I owned to new shooters to invite them to start shooting IDPA. The match director had it detailed to every degree, To quote him....If you don't shoot it like I wrote it, It is a FTDR. My point in the first post was the quanity of weak and strong hand shooting. I shoot for FUN! And yes I did help tear down the match that day and did not bitch about the stage designs, I saved it for this forum so I would not hurt the MD feelings. Thanks Ej45
  16. How are your stages designed at you club? I just shot out monthly match and it was poor. IDPA is to be REAL life, so they say. Four out of five stages were weak or strong hand shooting. The fifth stage was shot from retention. Now, In real life I sure as heck not going to shot week handed on the move engaging targets at 30 feet! (that was stage one) Stage two started out with gun and mags in case unloaded. At start load gun and with spare mag in weak hand, engage targets strong hand. Now, In real life I sure hope I am not stupid to carry an unloaded firearm and then hold a spare mag in my weak hand while engaging three targets at point blank range!! Is this real?? I understand the priciples of training, but the people that design these idiot stages are the ones in protest of the gamers. Sorry to rant, I just needed to vent, And yes you could call me a gamer. 17. Single Stack, Love the hardchrome!! Who chromed the gun? Thanks, Erik
  18. I was thinking of having my limited gun slide lightened. Where is the best place for meat to be removed inside the slide? I really don't want to chop the outside. The slide is an SV tri-top with removeable breech. Thanks for your input sv45

    Sv Pistols

The five inch is tripp chrome with teflon inlay on the infinity and sv logos on the gun, I bought the parts and had the gun built. The gun turned out real nice! I had the gun smith mill off the inside radius of the trigger guard to give it that square look. The mag well is an SV on a diet. I had the builder trim it down. Gold bead front sight, AET barrel, egw fat bush, bomars ect.. The gun really shoots great! The little fellow 4.25 is teflon, The internals are all mirror polished. The hammer and barrel are polished also like chrome. Its a cool contrast to the black. SV parts with a schuemann ultimatch bull barrel, novak rear sight. The frame has been cut down to acept 120mm mags. 13rds of 155 grain 40cal carry ammo. sv45
