  1. you are right but on the other hand your making out to be i said something crazy and out of hand. but i guess you have never been close to being wrong. take it for what it is.
  2. iam glad i could help out a fellow G34 owner. if you have any other question iam not a expert by any means but i do have alittle experience with the G34, dont hesitate to ask or send me a email. i didnt have anyone to help me with my mods so iam glad i can help you.
  3. you can either buy some grip tape from a skate shop and do it yourself or you can do what i did. i ordered gorilla grip from cpwsa or you can use any other pre-made grip tape, i used the gorilla grip but kept the backings from the grip tape and also kept one gorilla grip that i did not use yet and use that as a template to cut out regular skate board tape. so now you will not have to spend 30 dollars on more gorilla grip, just use your template and buy skate board tape which is very cheap. use a razor to cut it out and now you have preformed tape that you dont have to order anymore. i hope this helped.
  4. i personally like the ISMI 13lb or 11 lb CAPTURED steel guide rod setup. i have tried the wolff uncaptured with there 14lb spring and it wasnt for me. the uncaptured setup in hard to put in, its just a pain in the butt. i really think you will love the ISMI 13lb spring setup, and order a 11 lb spring also just to see if you like it. its only 7 dollars, i ordered it after i played with the 13lb spring and for me i like the 11 lb spring better. but with the lighter springs i would recommend the vanek classic grandmaster kit with the jager striker. my G34 has been 100% reliable. iam shooting atlanta arms 147 grain ammo at about 135 power factor. i would reload myself but i just cant afford all of the reloading stuff at the moment.
  5. to tell you the truth none of these parts are necessary, but its all personal preference. when i started to mod my G34 alot of people told me its not going to make me shoot any better but i can tell you from experience i think it did. tune the gun to your liking, i love the way mine came out. the parts are fairly cheap besides the trigger kit which is GREAT I MIGHT ADD! i really think you will be happy with the parts that you are looking at. a good trigger, sights, steel or tungsten guide rod and a 13lb spring ( i personally like the 11 lb spring) and grip tape will make the gun easier to shoot and more fun. this is just my 2 cents, you ask ten different people you will get ten different answers. like i said before you dont need any of these parts but if you like them then by all means buy them iam glad i did.
  6. iam not telling you not to buy it, just wanted you to know what the rules are. just trying to help you out. personally i have never been able to tell between the two when it comes to muzzle flip. a good grip will help you more than the guide rod itself. you will have a great gun with the mods you posted. i love mine. enjoy
  7. thats good, with metal sights and whatever else he puts on the gun it could go over or not. me myself i dont like pushing it with weight and not be able to shoot a real uspsa match. at the local club level it dont matter. the steel rod works perfectly without the guessing games.
  8. 2 ounces with empty magazine inserted over weight listed on approved pistol list. this is what the rules say.
  9. it will put the gun over wieght with the tungsten rod
  10. my glock 34 has the following for uspsa production. vanek classic grandmaster trigger sevigny competition sights fiber optic front ISMI 11 lb spring with ISMI steel captured guide rod grip tape the tungsten guide rod is not legal for production but is for limited and open. any more questions dont hesitate to ask. put some grip tape on it trust me you will fall in love with it.
  11. My uncle just bought a Sig Pro 2022 in 9mm and wants to shoot it in USPSA production, hes knows there is better production guns and usually shoots single stack but he wants to try the production division. Do you guys have any experience with this gun and should it be ok for production? He is just doing it for fun as are we all so he is not to concerned or expecting to win with the Sig Pro. thanks
  12. if your talking about the glock then i agree 110%! i had a wolff spring with there uncaptured guide rod for my G34 and got rid of it asap and bought a ISMI spring with captured guide rod and love it. so much easier to put in.
  13. thanks guys for your advice iam going to use this info to practice
  14. the gun does not fire out of battery. but my orginal question was does it batter the gun.
  15. I dont have video sorry I wish I did. No I dont practice on the move much which I need to start doing because I think that is holding me back. I wasnt very good at reloads so I started to practice them at the house and now I feel comfortable doing them go figure lol. I think I have the stages planned out and when the buzzer goes off I dont do what I know I need to do and it has been getting alittle frustrating. Another thing is when I pull the gun out of the holster and shoot the first set of targets I find that Iam not gripping the gun hard enough so when the gun recoils the gun moves around alot not letting me double tap very well. I dont have that problem in practice but again in a match Iam so focused on the match itself that my grip isnt what it needs to be. I just think I need some more matches under my belt so everything will feel more natural and second nature.
  16. Hey everyone, here is a few problems Iam having that I need help on. Iam a fairly new USPSA shooter about 10 matches or so and I shoot production. I know what I need to do but when the buzzer goes off everything goes out the window. I plan on shooting close targets on the move but when it comes time to shoot those targets I end up shooting them from a stand still which is hurting my time. I would like to be more smooth and fluent. Any tips would be great.
  17. my only concern right now is will i batter my frame with the #11? and what do i look for as far as wear?
  18. the super grand master is not production legal but the classic grandmaster kit is which is the one i bought from charlie. charlie told me to get the classic grandmaster over the super grandmaster so i would be legal. just my 2 pennies
  19. I have thought of the same thing about the #11 being right on the line of being reliable. Iam keeping the #13 in my range bag as a back up until the #11 goes south then in goes the #13 again. I dont have any problems putting the #13 back in but right now Iam going to play with the #11 until it gives me problems. I know where you guys are coming from but I have it so I might as well play with it. And for my own personal observation to see how long the #11 will last. I would hate to have to take out the #11 because I really like the way it performs right now, I going to do some bill drills soon to see if either makes a difference or not.
  20. iam using atlanta arms 147 9mm ammo. not sure what powder or primer sorry. its around 130ish power factor.
  21. and yes i need to do some bill drills, but so far i like what i see with the #11.
  22. yes mine is the classic grandmaster kit, this one is production legal.
  23. I just got back from the range with my G34, I have a 13LB ISMI recoil spring and capurted steel guide rod that I have been shooting in uspsa production and loved it. So I figured if I like the 13lb spring maybe I would like the 11LB also. From my experience the 11LB spring worked 100% and had less muzzle flip. My buddy shot it also and said it really felt better and shot flatter. I have a vanek grandmaster trigger kit with a reduced power striker spring so the gun does not come out of battery when I pull the trigger which is great. Iam very happy with the ISMI 11LB recoil spring, Iam going to shoot this setup at my next uspsa match this sunday to see how it works in a competition setting.
  24. i agree that you should get a dremel, it makes the whole process very easy. as polish goes i have used mothers mag polish you can get it at walmart, autozone or any other automotive store. my buddy used it to polish his 1911 barrel and feed ramp. turned out nice and shiney.
